I’m kinda glad this place has shut down. Does not represent the rest of the company as well. I’ve lived in castaic for 20 years. Jersey Mikes was decent when ot first opened but really went downhill. I knew the owner and a few managers in the past. I went in there right before it closed, and the quality was so poor and the service was poor. Owner had left at 11am and left 2 people working for lunch. The meat was sliced so wrong from company standards and so slow to serve 3 people. Took 15 minutes with just 3 customers. The gentleman that finished my sandwich off was slow and seemed like he was barely trained. Took him 5 tries to wrap my sandwich and the sandwich fell apart. He then stuffed it in the bag, kind of, and said have a good day with sandwich all exposed and lettuce falling all over the place. I think i see why the franchise was taken from that spot but i hope the«Kim» in Kim’s deli, which what is there now isn’t the same Kim owner. I just believe the management was the problem here and so the quality suffered. Dont let this be a poor reflection of the company as a whole. I just go to the one in stevenson ranch along the 5 freeway on my way home.

Update– There is no longer a Jersey Mikes here and this place is now called Kim’s Deli. I went in there to give it the benefit of the doubt but my sandwich had an insect inside. On top of that they have teenagers running the place that have no customer service skills whatsoever. Never again. I would rather go to Subway across the way.

My family and I were on a trip up north and were really looking forward to eating at Jersey Mikes. As I pulled up to the front parking spot, I noticed a hand written note on the front door that said the restaurant would be closing at 7pm, instead of the regular time of 8pm. A quick time check showed that I was ok, it was only 6:48. Well… think again. The two young men working inside decided that they wanted to leave at 7 exactly and had already locked the front doors! I got the universal hand gesture across the neck from Jersey Mike Jr. Inside clarifying that they had no intention to serve my family. No apologies, no explanation and sadly, nooooo longer a Jersey Mikes customer. I hope the manager or owner of the store reads my review and decides to have a sit down with their employees and discuss customer service. FYI, there’s a Subway right across the street. It was delicious! C. Charley

The only reason why I stop here is because it’s close to my house, however, I know now to make my trip down to anywhere else but here. The tables are usually dirty when I walk in and one time the lights were flickering. Also, when I say«to-go» I prefer not to get charged the dine in tax… yet I DO. I see it on the receipt and if I were to go to any other jersey mikes, I don’t get charged dine in tax if I am not planning on sitting there…

I am a fan of Jersey Mike’s and their sandwiches so was happy to find this one while on the road. It was clean, bright and has good décor. However the staff member was unfriendly and impatient with us. At the one by us they always ask how our day is — not happening here. Sandwiches were decent and live up to typical Jersey Mike’s. However I was disappointed at the poor drink selection — no Sobe lifewater like the other locations, and the ice tea was unavailable. Only a few super sugary fountain drinks & sodas which sucked.

We stop in this area frequently when going to Bakersfield to visit family or even for work. Never thought to stop and grab a bite at Jersey Mike’s. We were a little hungry and had some time before we would eat dinner. We ordered the largest sandwich turkey club and asked to cut it into three pieces. Added a side of jalapeños. It was a perfect small meal for my son, boyfriend, and I. The place wasn’t busy so we were in and out in no time. Only bummer is their soda machine wasn’t working but we were comensated by getting soda prices on bottled drinks.

Will gladly drive to the copper hill location any day over this place and I live in castaic. They put very little meat on the stale bread and are usually out of something. And finally the employees are not friendly or welcoming at all. Never again.

The reason I am giving this place one star is simple. 2 out 3 times when I come here they are out of something. Most of the time it’s bread. This place needs to figure out the ordering cause quite frankly it’s ridiculous. When they do have the right ingredients the place is standard for a jersey mikes. The employees are awesome. Considering the situation upper management puts them in to have to tell customers they are out of ingredients. This place is a joke.

I have stopped by this Jersey Mike’s a few times and the experience has always been great. The store is clean and well maintained. I always get the #13 original Italian. The first thing I noticed was that the price was $ 2 less than any other Jersey Mike’s in Santa Clarita. When I asked the manager, Louis, why their prices were less, he said that $ 14 was too much for the sandwich, so they keep their prices more reasonable. He has always been very accommodating, even giving me a discount when I didn’t have a coupon with me. When I took the sandwich home, my wife commented how it seemed much hardier than some of the other sandwiches we have gotten from other local Jersey Mike’s. China, one of the employees there makes an awesome sandwich. If you like Jersey Mike“s subs, you have to try this place. Cheaper and a better sandwich… what’s not to like…

I ordered a sandwhich online at 800 pm. The website clearly states that on Friday the store is open till 900 pm. When i went to pick my sandwhich up the store was completely empty with a sign taped on the window saying they closed at 700 pm. What a joke. My card was also charged the full amount of a sandwhich i will never eat. I will be calling tomorrow. Lets just hope they are actually open at some point.

Food is fantastic! Pricing is a bit high. Check the bottom of your receipt for coupons.

First let me say I LOVE the chain and it’s a much better product than any of its kind in this area, but, this specific location is horrible! 1) Service: non existent, takes forever and not a very warm feeling. 2) Hours of operation: don’t stop here for a bite before closing, I’ve been here several times(up to a half hour) prior too closing and the doors were locked and electric signs off. Today I was there 15 minutes prior and was too late. 3) the place is a ghost town you would think they would tidy up. 4) my last visit when I did get served, the bread was stale and the ‘credit card’ machine was down(again). At this time I’m frustrated with the Castaic location because as stated above I do favor this chain, but I’m sick of driving to Copper Hill to have a decent sub when I pass the same chain on the way there. I hope they get this fixed, this place was dynamite back when they first opened.

Jersey Style Card Scam: Policies, Prices, and People are subject to change in any company. For better or worse, I accept this and adjust my loyalties accordingly. However, good principles and business ethics should never change. I still hold people as well as myself to a standard of ownership. That is, own what you do and say whether good or bad. I eat at Jersey Mike’s when I can find them in part because they offered these«Frequent Buyer’s Club Card.» I was told the card wasn’t offered anymore but the existing cards are still honored. I went into the Jersey Mike’s Castaic CA’s location and asked if they can still«stamp» the card as well as combine my two cards into one. They said yes, so I placed my order. However, when the order was complete, the stamp couldn’t be found.

I LOVE Jersey Mikes! It reminds me of the subs I used to get growing up in an Italian neighborhood in NY state. I love that their lettuce and onions are sliced thin and are not some big mohawking chunks that other places use! Love their bread, love their flavoured oil… Mikes Way is the way to go! That being said, my favourite is the Jersey Shore’s Favourite(Provolone, ham and cappacuolo) which is a good combo to make it flavourful, but not overwhelming. I usually get it with White American cheese(love the creaminess) and I get it Mikes Way, extra onion plus mayo on white. I usually get the giant so I can have some immediately and then have the rest the next day for lunch. YUUUUUMMMMMMM! I’ve tried the: Tuna — White American cheese, mayo on white — YUM! Super Sub — Provolone, ham, prosuittini and cappacuolo — Good, but for me, I think the Jersey Shore Favourite is tastier. I’m not sure why that is since this has an additional meat to it. My husband has tried a number of the other ones and loves them too. We’ve used them to «cater» our family birthday parties too. They make the requested subs, cut them in hand-size sections and box together for easy-to-get-at access. You should try to remember which sub(s) you got as they’re not labeled when packaged up so you’ll have to look at the innards to be sure of what you’re getting. We picked them up at the shop. I’m not sure if they cater in the sense that they would deliver to the site, but our Mikes is so close, it’s not an issue. For GREAT subs, bar none — except the ones you can get in an Italian restaurant in Endicott NY… Mikes is the place to go!

WOW WOWWWWW I never felt a sandwich touch my mouth the way mike has… mmmm I dont mean to sound dirty, i mean to sound clean!!! IT was the most clean tasting, delicous, savory, sabroso, and amazing sandwich! beats the hec outta subway, Togo’s, and any other safe sandwich place i’ve ever been too. The quality meets the standards of a german deli. you see them slice the meat right in front of you! and a plentiful amount of meat. its very entertaining how they slice everything and prepare it. Service is slow but its well worth the wait! MAYBE because i had alot of costumers in FRONT me! well, i did, it took like 20minutes. However, they are very professional and organized. so i am not gonna complain. shoulda left a tip! but it was my first time being there. I had the italian with everything on it except nothing spicy. Camping at lake castaic sucked so my girl and i decided to go in and give this place a try. well worth it!

This is my first time trying this place and will say this, it’s one huge sandwich. for $ 10 bucks it’s worth splitting if you’re on a budget. They slice the meat to order and have plenty of fixin to fullfil your needs.
