La Terraza Bakery

My Dad and his family are from Colombia, and I grew up eating Colombian food. This place is very legit… and dare I say the arepas are way better than my grandma’s (shhhhh!)
The family is very nice and understands English. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I have been there for both breakfast and lunch, and will continue to come here.
For breakfast I had the pericos eggs, which are scrambled eggs with tiny pieces of tomatoes, onion, peppers and cheese maybe. Whatever it is, it’s awesome. It also comes with a pressed arepa, which looks huge but it’s just much thinner then Argentinian or Peruvian arepas. Then there’s the cheese.

The cheese on this arepa is the same cheese used in the Pan de Bono (a cheese bread that you must try if you’ve never had it). It’s perfectly salty and balances so well with the warm, toasted arepa. The. Best. I’ve. Ever. Had. I could eat this every day.
It also came with a slice of bread and coffee.
For lunch I had dedos de queso, which are baked cheese sticks (so good!) and beef empanadas. And no, this wasn’t on the same day. That you know of. ;-)
If you’re not hungry by now after having read all of this, you must have JUST eaten a massive Thanksgiving dinner. :) Please go check this place out! You’ll love it! Buen provecho!

We were in Orlando for a few day and we found this great place, food is homemade is like eating at home. The owners are really friendly and the make you feel as if you were eating ant you dinning room. 100% recommended.

There are so many positives here, I will talk about La Terraza for years to come. The owner greeted us as if we were family and walked us through the menu. It honestly felt as though we were walking into his home. The food was PURE PERFECTION! Tequeños, Arepas, Pastel de carne, Quesitos, Empanadas– all incredible. I was introducing a friend to Latin American cuisine, once he realized this he gave us each a small Alcachofa to try: heaven! Gracias por un almuerzo tan cariñoso y delicioso. MUST TRY!

Very good colombia favorites. My wife had the pandebono and loved it. I will be going back soon.
