Not sure why this place has good reviews at all. We came here at noon on a Sunday and the place was basically dead, yet we still waited way too long for service. We ordered a large orange juice, got a small. The waitress said«You ordered small, right?» and when we said no she said she’d bring another… we never got it. My omelette came without cheese even though I ordered it with cheese. My boyfriend got a cheeseburger and couldn’t even eat it because it was so bad. I tasted it and it tasted like bad meatloaf. The home fries were the only redeeming part of this whole meal. The worst part was the waitress screaming across the restaurant to other customers about the Gator game and how drunk she was the day her mom got out of prison. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

This was our first visit to this diner but probably won’t be our last. Service was a little slow but I think someone called in sick or something because they seemed to be short staffed. On a brighter note the omelet I ordered was fantastic and I don’t normally finish my meal but I cleaned my plate this time. The presentation was very nice and the food was wonderful. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Been here for breakfast maybe 6 times. Food and service have been great every time, the bacon strips are huge and tastier than many places I’ve tried. Haven’t tried lunch yet!

Located in a nondescript strip mall near the corner of red bug and 436. At first glance the signage reminded me of a check cashing place. Very simple décor, not terribly café like. I did like the counter with wood floor planks lining it. Simple but solid café fare. A couple of types of hash, including chicken. Breakfast bowls. Pancakes. Sunday at 11am. About half full. Took less than 5 minutes to be seated, order taken and coffee on the table. Coffee was ok by my standards(I hate the burnt taste of Starbucks). Looking around the portions are nicely sized. I ordered the Hash with potatoes peppers and eggs and cheese. Very very tasty. The cheese blends great with the hash and red potatoes and gives a creamy spicy taste. The brisket is shredded, not chopped like most. Loved that. My better half ordered the Chicken fiesta bowl was equally as good. It is a tasty mix of chicken, salsa, eggs, potatoes and cheese. It tasted like Old bay seasoning was on the chicken and it was great. They also have cholula hot sauce which is a key component to any good café. If you are nearby, it is worth the trip and your visit,

Great diner food, especially for breakfast. Their service(as mentioned in other reviews) isn’t the best but your food will come out hot and delicious, so if you are OK with some other service faux pas, it’s definitely worth the trip. For me, great prices, great food, and convenient location will keep me coming back for more, even if their wait staff can be inconsistent.

Update: New ownership and an even better product. Now called Café Perks. Nice owner and the food is more consistent. One word — Go There Today.(OK, maybe that was more than one word…) I just had an amazing breakfast at Order Up Café. There was no line, no crowd, a friendly waitress and great food. They are located in a crummy strip center on the West side of SR436 just north of Red Bug Lake Rd. The sign is hard to see from 436 but it’s worth the trouble.(From the south, cross over Red Bug Lake Rd and get in the left lane. Go through the traffic light just north of Red Bug and you will see a left turn lane without a light that turns into a strip center. Turn left in that lane and Order Up will be in the strip center on your left.) Anyone who has read my breakfast reviews knows that breakfast — at least for me — is all about the bacon. Dare I say that Order Up had the best bacon I’ve had in Orlando? I dare, I dare… I’m telling you it was thick, cooked crispy and very tasty. And the home fries are simply the best I’ve had anywhere.(Not sure what happened with the previous reviewer who didn’t like them, but mine were incredible.) I ordered my home fries well done(which the waitress called«crispy») and they were cooked to perfection. Great seasoning and the flavor was excellent. Then there was the biscuit and sausage gravy that I had to try since it was my first visit. Both were home made with excellent flavor. Be advised that they«paint» some butter on the top of their biscuits before they are served, so if you want a plain biscuit just ask them to hold the butter and bring it on the side. That didn’t bother me at all but it might bother others, so FYI. Other than the bacon, biscuit, gravy and home fries, I had an omelet. In all honesty, it’s hard to get a bad omelet so I don’t use that as a way to judge a restaurant. For what it’s worth, my omelet was very good but nothing I haven’t had before. I couldn’t eat all the food and the price was $ 8.50 which I would classify as more than reasonable, especially when compared to the other breakfast restaurants I have frequented in Orlando. Order Up Café is a great choice for an excellent, home-style breakfast. The restaurant was spotless when I was there. Yes, it’s decorated from the 80’s, the booths are covered in Naugahyde and are not fluffy(as one reviewer complained about), some of the forks are a little bent, there is nothing fancy about the strip center or the décor and the people working there are just plain folks. To some those are turn-offs. To me, those are pluses and great reasons to call Order Up my new breakfast home. I have been looking for a place reasonably close to home since souring on Keke’s a few months ago. Order Up fits my criteria perfectly and I can’t wait to go back this weekend.

I feel compelled to write a review since we were lured to the Order Up by the high Unilocal star count and glowing praise this diner received. We were deceived. Woefully slow doesn’t begin to describe the service. Although we arrived just after 1pm, it looked and sounded like the staff, both servers and kitchen, were done for the day. We finally were greeted after waiting so long that we had gotten up from our hard, unpadded booth to get our own menus. Even though we were assured that any food order would be prepared in just a few minutes, it was a significantly longer wait. The table that entered before us also had a long wait, which I found strange, considering that including all of us, there were only four tables being served. We weren’t checked on until we were nearly finished, or I might have said something about the food.(And the kitchen staff coming out front for breaks wearing sweat-soaked shirts was rather unappetizing.) The food. Bad. The biscuits were hard and dry, with one of mine a flat patty obviously hand-shaped from the last piece of leftover dough. I love sausage gravy but theirs was floury and bland, except for a strange tang it had like mayonnaise, and it was served to me in a giant bowl on the side, filled to the brim. It was like a really terrible«Southern-style» gravy I had in California once, and I had a humungous bowl of it to stare at through the meal. Yuck. My eggs were seared on the outside and undercooked on the inside, and they swam in a pool of yellow cooktop grease. The sausage patties, while they had a nice peppery flavor, must have been cooked in the morning and left under a heat lamp because they were totally devoid of moisture. Since we learned the fried chicken and waffle actually used chicken fingers and not whole chicken, my companion opted for the biscuit bowl instead. Sadly, it arrived drowned in that same terrible gravy. The only saving grace was the breakfast potatoes, which admittedly were some of the best I’ve ever had. But one good side dish does not a good diner make. There are far better diners out there. We won’t be back.

Here’s a place that is the antithesis of the other breakfast/lunch place I reviewed today. Here they are simply about really good home cooked food that’s a cut above the average breakfast joint yet very reasonably priced. Here your money is not going to support a franchise-able décor and menu concept — it’s paying for just plain good food, served up in a clean no frills space by incredibly friendly and attentive people. Marty stopped here on his own a while back and raved about it so we headed back together recently because we love places that serve up breakfast fare all day. This visit Marty tried a corned beef omelette with peppers, onions and Provel cheese $ 6.99. Provel cheese is a signature cheese from Missouri that is made from a blend of cheddar, swiss and provolone. It’s particularly oozy, gooey and melty. He opted for grits and a homemade biscuit as his sides. His omelette was huge(he took half of it home), the biscuit was flaky and buttery and the grits were perfectly cooked. I ordered from the lunch menu and tried their slow cooked corned beef brisket on rye with grilled onions, sauerkraut and more of that Provel cheese $ 6.99. I got a side of baked potato salad. The corned beef was flavorful, the cheese really melted down melding into the rest off the ingredients coating everything with what could almost be described as a mild, creamy cheese sauce. The potato salad was chock full of all the fixings of a baked potato like cheddar cheese, bacon, green onions. I took half of the sandwich and side home. It was way too much for me to eat the whole thing. Next time you are heading down 436 in Casselberry between the hours of 7am and 3pm and find yourself hungry, be sure to stop into the Order up Café. You’ll be glad you did. You may see us there, we still want to try out their fresh ground burgers, homemade meatloaf, chicken and waffles … oh and the pumpkin cranberry french toast!

Going based on price point, quality of food, and environment, this is a 3 – 4 star. However, based on service… more specifically the time it takes to get the food, well that’s their achilles heel. For a cheap breakfast or lunch in the Casselberry area, this would be the place. Assuming you’re not too pretentious for the ikea based tableware, the food is very much homestyle, the coffee always tastes just perfect(what are they using? Seriously it tastes great), and the bacon. This place makes me so happy because of the thick slab bacon they serve. The french toast isn’t on thick style bread that many are accustomed to, rather it’s more like homemade french toast. The blueberry pancakes are fluffy and quite tasty, and again, for the price, very reasonable. Now, to that service issue — each time we’ve gone we’ve waited over 30min for our food, one time when it wasn’t too busy and then again when it was busy. I can only assume this may be due to lack of staffing in the kitchen or too small of a kitchen to accomodate the menu size. Either way, if you elect to eat here, be prepared for the wait time. Another caveat is that this location is a bit hard to see from Semoran Blvd with the current construction. It’s in the Indian Hills strip complex — the same one where the SuperCuts is in. So the food is good, the bacon is awesome, the price is great if you’re looking for a cheap eat, but anticipate a wait.

Haven’t had lunch or dinner yet, but the breakfast at this place was amazing! You can really tell everything is made from scratch and that somebody in the kitchen definitely knows what they are doing! We will be back! If you want dessert for breakfast I recommend the chocolate chip pancakes, they were delish! We also loved the chicken biscuit bowl(not sure what they called it, but it was good) and the 5 egg omelet!

Excellant food and staff. Have been several times and the food is always GREAT. I Love the Sloppy Joe omlette. There waffles are made fresh and also very good. My Mother had the Pumpkin cranberry french toast, which she raved about. My Dad’s eggs are always cooked to perfection, have never had to send them back, that alone is a pleasure. Now they just started serving dinner and we can’t wait to try it. The owners are the chefs, and they have a great service staff. Carrie has a great personality, a true asset.

This place is where Country Kitchen used to be. They remodeled it quite nicely. There is a nice center bar, and with some resturaunt/kirkland’s décor. The plates and cups are all from Ikea, very simple«homey» feel. I had the Chicken & Buscuits. A huge, buttery flakey buscuit with gravy and fried chicken strips. The Chicken strips were hot, very tender and not over cooked-it was a very good southern breakfast. My sister had a breakfast burrito-it was huge-she could only eat half of it… It’s probably 12″ long and you can barely put your hands around it. Coffee is good, service is friendly. I will probably be going here a lot more!

Let’s start with the only negatives– service is often pretty slow. Other than that, everything is good to great. Try the chicken and waffles with hot & spicy syrup– they are great. Meatoaf sandwich and homemade potato salad are also excellent. Biscuits are good but could be less dry. And while the homemade corned beef has is good, the texture– shredded beef and big potatoes– is kind of off putting.
