So, I was just recommending these guys to a friend and I thought, I should sing their praises to the internet at large. My husband and I bought a mid century fixer-upper last year. It is our first house and we spent countless hours trying to solve the windows riddle.(Almost everything we needed was over-sized/custom/specialized and we intended to install the windows ourselves. We honestly could not find a manufacturer to sell the windows to us without install costs. And window«stores» continuously told us that the windows could not be made to meet the sizes that we needed.) Out of desperation, I called Andersen and explained our situation. They wisely advised that we call Window Works… These ANGELS took our measurements(we were sure of our openings, because of the 27 people that came to «quote» us). We came into the store room, picked out our product and had the windows($ 20,000+ worth) ordered within 48 hours of the initial phone call. They answered questions, gave advice, and came to our house to assist with planning. The product that was delivered changed our house. The windows are absolutely gorgeous. At every stage of the install, they took my breath away. My husband and his father installed the windows and the Window Works guys offered guidance throughout the process. I could not possibly be happier with the product or with the people. I was thinking this afternoon that I wish I could recommend these guys to more people… Thus, I have written my first Unilocal review! I will add photos as soon as we’re done with the house :) Thank you, Window Works!

First of all, I never write reviews. After numerous calls to Window works I feel compelled to let other consumers know of my experience. I purchased $ 23k worth of Andersen windows and doors from Window works for our new home. Window works, Jeff Reif, misquoted me on a set of twin windows. He ordered one set of windows with grids in them when none of the other windows in the whole house had them. After delivery he blamed the mistake on me and forced me to pay for replacements. Once I paid for the replacements($ 600) he ordered them incorrectly again and now it’s been 3 months without them. Still no replacements! During delivery(which I had to help unload myself) Justin Reif pushed me to sign off on delivery assuring me everything was delivered. Weeks later we discover that $ 1000 worth of hardware is missing!!! Again, I get the blame game from Jeff and Justin. This brings me to the biggest problem I have with Window Works and Andersen windows and Doors.- I purchased a $ 3000 Andersen E-series gliding door from Window works for the back of the house. The door has two warped panels that don’t allow you to close the doors or lock them securely. I brought this to Jeff and Justin’s attention months ago and again they blame it on someone else’s installation. Finally, after 3 months of arguing Jeff made the huge 5 mile trek to the job site to look at the inoperable doors. I had the door reinstalled at my expense and it still does not close. My next step is to replace the door and bring legal action. I’m extremely frustrated with this company and their product. Buyer beware.

After calling numerous places to find wood windows, we were finally directed Window Works. Even though they were the only place we could find that would do it, we are still glad we got to work with Jeff and his crew. They know their windows! I was unhappy with the inside trim and was hesitant to say anything given that we had just spent tons of money on them. But I shouldn’t have been. Jeff was more than happy to figure out a way to make it better and they put in a lot of extra effort to make me happy. Kudos to them! Before you embark on such an enterprise though, make sure you do your research and think it through. You need to pull everything away from the windows and it will be like that for as long as it takes! The guys were great though. Really. Never felt put down for being a woman which is saying something in the South!
