We’ve ordered a few times and the pizza is aways very good. Not at all impressed though by the sides. The boneless wings tasted strange. The howie brownie is terribly dry and freezing cold, like it was just defrosted. Disappointing if you want to order more than just pizza!

[Somewhat dog friendly — has outdoor seating but no waitservice] FORIT’S CLASS — which is national chain ‘affordable’ pizza, this location is the best. In other words, I’d choose to order from here before i’d order papa johns, dominos etc… but I’m not comparing them to mom-n-pop places around the triangle, or sit down places like mellow mushroom. We probably order from here at least a few times a month. There is nothing I dont recommend. Some of our favorites: sesame flavored crust, the howie brownie, the greek salad, the steak calzone. the strombolis are an indulgence(a little on the fatty side from meats, but the’re worth it when you don’t care about fat intake). My SO really likes the wings, actually, and thinks they hold a candle to the more ‘well known’ wing joints. For this particular location: The delivery is always on time(usually a little early), the food is prepared properly(we’ve never had a bad order, and we’ve ordered a lot) the drivers are always friendly. We’ve always done delivery and ordered online, but one time we stopped in to grab a few howie brownies to take to a party and had the chance to talk to the staff — who were nice, helpful and polite. The location was clean, and the old-school TMNT poster on the wall got them some bonus points. A quick tip: when you order online(and you can probably do this over the phone too, but I didn’t know the options existed until I saw them online) you can custom every single aspect of the pizza. Like the whole thing a darker with browned cheese? order a ‘well’ cook. Want a little less mushrooms than normal? adjust every single topping, including the sauce to be more or less than average.

I used to get a pizza from Hungry Howies once a week when I lived in Boone. I was really happy when I saw they were in Raleigh and opened a new store in Cary. The pizza isn’t as good as Mellow Mushroom but it’s also less then half the price. The flavored crusts are really good and their bread sticks are fantastic. You can get some really good deals like 2 large 1 topping pizzas and howie bread for $ 15. Stuff like that. The pizza is worth the price in my opinion. Try the cajun flavored crust it has a nice kick to it. They even have a saracha one now. This store is mainly a take out place. There isn’t much of an area for dining in. Just a small bar with stools.

Had a craving for Jet’s deep dish — but got a coupon for Hungry Howies so I thought I would try it. Got the steak combo — like other reviews here — it was completely burnt including what used to be the cheese on top. Intended on getting two meals from this — but there was no way to salvage the other half because the end crusts were already hard as rocks. Never again.

Good pizza! It’s quick and easy to order online, and they have a lot of different kinds to choose from. I usually order about once a month when I get a pizza craving and I get the buffalo chicken pizza with ranch crust. Good stuff. They usually have a deal if you order online and they have coupons available pretty regularly too. The last time I ordered the person on the phone there checked to see if they had any running coupons that could save me some money on my order which was awesome because it was completely unprompted and ended up saving me a few bucks. I only ever run in and out to grab pick up stuff but their staff has always been friendly and my orders have always been ready on time. The one time I placed an order for delivery was super quick and pizza was delivered hot.

Good, not great pizza. Very friendly staff. A few chairs to sit on while you wait, but I recommend you call it in, or hang out outside where it’s nicer. It’s not super greasy, which I appreciate. I enjoy having this handy vs driving downtown to the Little Caesar’s. I’d give this 3 and a half stars, but Unilocal doesn’t accommodate that, and it’s just not at 4 star level. But in its defense, I can’t think of a chain pizza joint that is.

Not sure why there are so many low reviews for this location??? I have ordered here 4 times and I’ve had a good experience every time. The Bacon cheese burger is hands downy favorite with the butter cheese crust. Better than dominos and pappa John’s by a MILE

Burnt edges, and somehow burnt crust or something got on the pizza as well. The food didn’t taste right to me, so I won’t be going back. The howie bread also tasted burnt, I couldn’t quite tell what the problem was but I know it didn’t taste good either.

Gave them a few chances but the last two times the pizza was way overcooked and missing the flavored crust. Called once before and was told that«next time we will comp your order» when i tried to use my free pizza i was told that the manager never made a note of it and they couldnt honor the comp. Never ordering again.

I just ordered from them last night for the 3rd and the final time. The first 2 times, the pizza was mildly overcooked(dark brown spots where the cheese was overcooked) but last night it came flat out burnt… edges black, all the cheese was dark and overcooked and the cheese was hard as a rock. I had to take it back and let them know and what did I get in return? Another overcooked pizza. The prices may be cheap but you shouldn’t open the pizza box and find a burnt pizza. I guess that’s how they make it, but trust me, it doesn’t taste good.

Ordered Medium pizza(Pepperoni and Mushroom) with buttered crust. Tastes like Lil’ Caesar’s.

It’s Thursday night, so I’m of course I’m looking for quick eats. I am a New York, thin crust pizza style kind of girl normally, but sometimes I want a change. I remembered that a Hungry Howie’s opened less than 5 miles from my house. I noticed that Hungry Howie’s had a free app to order from, so I gave it a try. It was pretty easy to order and I was able to use a coupon. A large original pizza with two toppings, asiago cheese crust for 10.00. Not a bad deal. I decided to pick it up. If you opt for a delivery, there is a charge, not including the tip of course. As far as the taste, it was not bad and actually flavorful. I did not find the pizza greasy or oily like some other reviewers have mentioned, but maybe it’s because it was original crust and not deep dish. I heard no complaints from the fam. It’s nice to have this place close to home that I know can satisfy my pizza cravings.
