This restaurant had a great menu with nice options and choices. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was comfortable with a nice sunny patio outdoors. I order a salad to eat later(just a few hours) and it didn’t keep that well, but it was chopped with dressing in salad. This won’t stop me from trying it out again, but just be aware if you have similar plans.

Deliciousness! I am super indecisive and the staff helped me pick out and make an awesome spinach wrap — super foods base with spinach and kale and I added Parmesan and Filet cuts. SOGOOD. Be specific if you want to be, but I can’t imagine anything they make being anything other than delicious. Ingredients are fresh and tasty. The only downside is the price, but if you take into consideration the quality it is worth it — just not an every day thing!(:

The options are vast and various, perfect for any health conscious person(s)or someone average like me who is just craving something fresh once in awhile. It’s a great place to grab some healthy food for $ 9.06. I’m honestly a «wrap only girl» and often go for their Avocado BLT salad in a spinach wrap with Caesar dressing(my dressing weakness). As for familiar faces, the nutritionist major, Daniel is a delight to chat with an makes the experience a pleasure. So, if you’re in the mood for something fresh try Diced for you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been to Diced 3 times and the food has not disappointed. Yes it’s a bit expensive but the food tastes fresh, so I chalk it up to eating«healthy» in America. My biggest complaint is the staff. They have yet to be friendly, timely or thorough. Often I have to repeat my order or just put up with their mistakes and take the wrong item because it already took them 10 minutes to make it. I understand not many are thrilled to work where they do, but it shouldn’t show to the customer. If the staff went through a customer service boot camp, this would be a great establishment and I would come much more often!

Like chipotle except for salads(and wraps). The ingredients looked pretty fresh but they put way too much balsamic vinaigrette for me to be able to tell. I probably should have told them half the regular amount, the salad turned out to be chokingly sour. I also couldn’t tell if they made their dressing fresh, but it had a lot of sugar in it… the sour was pretty bitting though so at least not stale. Over all pretty good concept, like the fact that they«dice» up your salad so that you don’t have to worry about big leaves hanging out of your mouth(or any other ingredients). The actual place is pretty small, limited seating. Overall not bad. I’d probably come back if I’m in the area and try it again with less dressing.

First time was good. Second time I went they over diced both salads(made by 2 different employees) to tiny bits that made the tastes indistinguishable. They also reduced their portions. For $ 22 for 2 salads you have to keep the quality high and portions big.

Pretty decent salad! I gave Diced 3 stars for a couple of reasons. Yes, it’s great that there are a variety of toppings to choose from, but after they have gone through the dicing process, not only can you barely taste the toppings, but you barely even recognize them in your salad. Overall, I enjoyed my salad, I was just slightly disappointed at the particles leftover after the«dicing» process. Still worth a visit.

I’ve gone here a few times since they opened. I was so excited to have a salad place by my job, but over the last few months, they’ve made some changes I’m not a huge fan of. First, they do have really great selections of salad toppings. I liked to build my own, and it was a good deal at $ 5.99 for a salad with 4 toppings. Now, they changed it to $ 4 plus .75 cents per topping, and a whopping $ 3 for tofu or chicken. I can go buy an entire block of tofu for $ 1.50! So you put 3 – 4 toppings on there, plus tofu or chicken, and now you’re at $ 10. Not to mention if you want any cheese, now you’re upwards of $ 11. This wouldn’t be so bad if they hadn’t also have decreased the size of the salads significantly. When they first opened, the bowls were nice and large, so you actually felt full after finishing. They are probably half the size now. The staff is great, the selection of ingredients is awesome, but I’m finding it to be more expensive for less food now than it used to be. I know they are probably making some adjustments based on customer feedback and based on how things have gone the last few months, and I hope they find a good happy medium and stick around!

HUGE selection of salad ingredients. Pick one of their salads or build your own. Clean place… sanitation grade 100.0…I love that so keep it up. Love how they collect your ingredients then dump it on the cutting board and chop it. Makes it easy to eat and everything’s mixed together. I will be back… sooner rather than later. Great experience!

So happy to have found this new place. Really helping my annual 2 week fitness binge. Great salads and wraps and without a drink you can get a great lunch with leftovers for under $ 10!

It has a format similar to Chipotle, but for salads. I also find their process interesting: after all your ingredients get added to a bowl, they add dressing, toss it, then pour it on a cutting board and chop it into smaller pieces, then scoop it into your serving bowl. Also think of Coldstone Creamery but for salads. Which makes great sense when you start eating it, as everything is a size that you can get on your fork without making a stuffing-into-your-mouth-because-it’s-too-big-to-fit-but-too-hard-to-cut motion. A bit pricey to pay $ 10 for a salad, but the one I chose from the menu was quite good: a Southwest Crunch with the Chipotle Ranch dressing, and added some steak. I’d recommend it.

The salad was delicious ! They really do DICE whatever ingredients you select for your salad. Like with a knife… they DICE !!! Fresh ingredients. You really can’t go wrong. A bit on the pricey side but it’s a pretty big salad. My only complaint is that there is no «seasoning» in the salad. I seeked out some small packets of salt and pepper and I was good to go. Will definitely be back.

I was visiting family in NC and they took me to a nice salad shop near their house. Diced is in a shopping center in Cary. I had the BBQ Chop salad with chicken. All of the ingredients seemed very fresh and the chicken had just the right flavor to it. I really loved the fried onions, they gave the salad a nice crunch to it. I also loved the BBQ sauce, just the right amount of sweet and spice. They told me that they make the dressings on site which is really impressive. My only negative is that they are in North Carolina and I live in Virginia. Oh well I will just have to visit my relatives more often.

After hearing Carey Mulligan talk about what she missed most about NYC the most was chopped salads on Kelly & Michael yesterday, I thought yeah girl I hear ya. There are days while driving from one meeting to the next where all I think about is where to get a salad. No I don’t want some pre-packaged soggy lettuce plastic tasting salad. I want a fresh salad and I want it fast and easy to talk on the road. We had similar concepts to Diced in Charlotte and I practically lived there. I was beyond excited when I heard Diced was opening, the location isn’t super convenient for me but since it’s so close to Trader Joe’s I have an excuse to come to Cary. I walked into a small place with a large menu board by the salad bar. This isn’t serve yourself YES, they make the salads for you, — less germs yay! The concept is simple pick one of their signature salads(also could be made into a wrap) or build your own starting at $ 6 for 4 toppings and it goes up from there. I would have built my own but that was just too much work for me today, I decided on the Cobb salad no bacon. I know how do you eat a Cobb salad without bacon and trust me I wanted the bacon, but let’s just say I’ve had my fair share of bacon this week and my body needed a break. You pick your super fresh lettuce from a choice of romaine, spinach, kale, or mixed artisan greens, walk through and choose your toppings or the ones that already come with the salad that you’ve chosen, they put it all in a bowl and at the end of the line a friendly staff member takes it at of the bowl and chops it up or in this case dices it up! You can get your dressing tossed or on the side and they have a ton of dressings to choose from as well as some low cal options. You get your giant plastic bowl and you are on your way. The salad cost me about $ 11 so it’s not super cheap but I’ll pay for some healthy fast options especially a delicious salad. If I wasn’t so hungry I could have easily made this two meals. The staff was very educated and could walk you through the menu and concept, plus they were cheerful and friendly. Kudos Diced I’ll be back very soon!

There have been no less than 4 million instances of this conversation… Husband: What can I pick up for dinner on my way home? Me: «A big salad!». Him: «Ok. From where?» Me:(silence — because there is not a SINGLE place I can think of that knows how to make a fast and fresh to-go salads in Apex/Cary. No. Panera doesn’t do it for me). They really need to get a salad place around here. How about sushi? Him: Sure. Regular place? Me: Yep see you soon. Randomly today, I was taking one for the team and doing the actual picking up of the dinner(yay me!). I’m heading to our regular sushi spot when I SAW A SALADPLACE next to it. A real salad place. A real one! That serves salads! Fast forward through a few emoji-filled text messages to my husband and I find myself ordering some salads. I get to pick my lettuce which was awesome(there is no emoji for lettuce but there is one for eggplant). I ordered a Cobb and a Black and Blue. I get to the register and decided to add a third salad to my order for my dad. «No problem!» they said. «Take your time.» These are nice people who know that salad choosing is an art form that must not be rushed except if you are in front of me in line and I’m hungry. In conclusion, the salads were great. My dad finally confirmed I’m his favorite kid. And we now can cut down our monthly sushi budget. I do hope they make the ingredients of the dressings readily available(they said this is in the works). Like one of the other reviewers, I would also appreciate a more enviro friendly to-go container. But being that this place is replacing a sushi habit, I would be a jerk to take a star away for either of those things. So to the fellow genius, who agreed with me that Cary needed a good salad place, and then actually did something about it, Thank you. Keep it fresh and I will keep coming back.

I’ve been to a lot of fresh salad restaurants and this was by far my least favorite. First of all, I know they recently opened but the service was very slow. I only got 4 small strips of not the freshest looking chicken on my salad for a whopping extra $ 2.50… making my salad come to a total of more than $ 12. The whole salad was pretty much an extreme amount of finely chopped lettuce with a few toppings here and there. I think something(probably the tomatoes) had also been sitting for too long because there was a funky sour taste going on. Also, the man preparing my salad forgot to put a topping on and on the lady’s salad in front of me. So we both had to speak up about that. Sorry for complaining but I was really excited for this restaurant, maybe it will get better over time! :) Also, I will say I went before the grand opening, so I’m not sure if they’ve made changes since then.

Diced just opened this week next to Trader Joe’s on Kildaire Farm Road in Cary and I’ve already eaten there twice! The atmosphere is clean and bright and you’ll probably be greeted by the owner, Michelle behind the counter. She was a cheerleader for Louisville(their banner hangs with those of local teams) and it shows in her energy and enthusiasm. You can choose from every ingredient you can imagine for your chopped salad or wrap, including house grilled filet and Brookwood Farms brisket. Unlike similar concepts, everything is fresh and prepared in house. Even the dressings are all house made by Michelle’s brother, John. So far, my favorite is the Avocado BLT salad with croutons and walnuts but I really want to try the Texas Hold ‘Em with peaches and brisket. Yum!

Awesome place. I don’t have to go somewhere to find a salad bar that doesn’t have everything that I want. Totally recommended

Soft opening, big promises. Diced Gourmet could easily end up being one of my favorite places for lighter fare. Customers walk to the counter, choose from preselected salad or wrap combinations, or in a build-your-own way, choose the type of lettuce and up to 4 toppings(or more for an added price) from a couple of dozen different choices. You can stay at the counter and watch your salad or wrap as it’s made, or take a seat inside or outside and wait for them to call you to pick it up. There’s something for any taste preference for meat(or no meat), and cheese(even blue cheese). There are topping options to add crunch, and a choice of dressing from around a dozen or so different flavors. You select your ingredients, which are then placed into a bowl, and the bowl is moved down the line to the person who chops/dices everything into bite size pieces. On my first venture, I opted for a pre-selected wrap with tomato, corn, avocado, onion, black beans and tortilla strips. The tortilla strips worked to give the otherwise soft inside some texture. Next time I might try the chinese noodles or the walnuts. It was still good, though. I wasn’t really thinking through the whole«southwest» sort of wrap because I chose a Thai ginger dressing for it. I think the onion in the wrap overpowered it; I couldn’t taste the dressing at all. Still, I ate it and enjoyed it. Diced’s Goal: accomplished. Although Diced Gourmet is still in the soft opening phase, I think I might like this place already. There’s still a few kinks to work out, so I can’t be too hard on them for the one ding I did notice. I’m sure they’ll have it taken care of by the grand opening.
