This was our first time to the restaurant for dinner this evening. Appreciated the fresh foods sourced local, the bacon and blue salad was very good and fresh. The pizzas were excellent had a meat lovers pizza and my wife had a Tuscan pizza. Again well presented and cooked well. The meal was excellent and the server was attentive we were pleased. Now the problem, we received a $ 100 gift card for this restaurant which was what prompted the visit to begin with. When presented to pay it was explained that this card was not registering and could not be honored. We were also told this had been happening lately and they had been having problems with their gift cards. So in short I have a gift card I cannot use and ended up paying the tab anyways. Was disappointed in this outcome and no real solution to the problem given. Again the food was excellent and would recommend anyone looking to enjoy a locally sourced restaurant and plenty of Gluten free options so aside from the technical issues with the gift card would recommend for the food, and if you get a gift card make sure you also get a gift receipt!

Mom and I met for dinner tonight since we have been wanting to try Patrick Jane’s for a while now. Walked in and decided to sit at the bar, started off with a White Street Kolsch. We then read that it was 50% off appetizers from 4 to 630PM Monday through Thursday! Score! So, we went with the Fried Sampler and Local Farm Sampler. Fried Sampler: Boudin balls were good but a bit too spicy for me Parmesan encrusted zucchini chips were good, I enjoyed dipping them in the marinara sauce Wings — probably my favorite thing on this sampler, I loved the sweet & spicy sauce Goat cheese balls were just okay Local Farm Sampler, my favorite out of the two: Bruschetta, I enjoyed the toppings but it was a bit hard to eat since they were all falling off Pear and gorgonzola crostini — unfortunately I did not get to try these since I am a bit clumsy and knocked my drink over onto them, whoops. Mozz and prosciutto skewers, definitely my least favorite, the ingredients did not taste as fresh Pesto crostini — goat cheese was pilled way too high but once I cut it back they tasted delish Mom and I got a Bacon & Blueberry Jam mini pie to split. I thought that this was an interesting flavor combination so I just had to try and I liked it. Even my mom liked it which I was shocked about! I do like the interesting flavor combinations that Patrick Jane’s has to offer. Chelsea, our server, was great and I enjoyed her bubbly personality. But, all of a sudden our experience took a turn for the worse closer to service. The bartender arrived closer to 6PM and apparently forgot to take his happy pill. 1. Had an attitude about the first drink that he had to make 2. A woman came to the bar to order a glass of wine before her party arrived and was debating paying there or at the end of service, bartender got an attitude and was basically saying I don’t care just tell me what you want to do 3. I think what stole the show was when a server did not pick up a beer that he needed to run so bartender told another server«is he going to pick this shit up or what?». 4. I also saw another server being somewhat rude to the hostess who was helping run food Um, you do realize that I see how you are acting and I heard what you were saying? I understand that people do complain about things with their jobs but NOT in front of customers. Another con: a White Street Kolsch was $ 6 which is a bit steep in my opinion. Overall, Patrick Jane’s was just okay. I would not return.

Extremely disappointing Sunday brunch! I’m always looking for new brunch spots to add to my rotation and thought I would give this place a try, so I don’t have any experience with their regular menu. Brunch is absurdly overpriced and frankly not very good. My husband and I spent $ 35 for two very simple and plain breakfast dishes(pancakes and French toast.) Their beignets were inedible, we couldn’t finish them, and were $ 6 for 3 hard, tasteless lumps of overlooked dough. The pancake platter is advertised on the menu in a photo with 3 beautiful pancakes and a big side of assorted fruit. My pancakes were burned and served without fruit, so the false advertising was very frustrating. The sides were also extremely overpriced, one egg will cost you nearly $ 2. The only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is because our server was pleasant and the restaurant was clean, but the food and prices were worth zero stars. If you’re looking for reasonably priced Sunday brunch that’s actually tasty you can go down the road to o’charley’s. We are able to get 2 entrees(that include sides you don’t have to pay extra for), delicious rolls, and coffee for almost half of what we paid here. Definitely won’t be returning!

Sunday brkfst brunch at 10 today. Felt good to come in from the cold to nice n warm environment with friendly and helpful employees. Not a franchise — the place reflects the pride the owner has in serving really good food. Wait staff(Brent) very attentive. French toast excellent, bacon cooked exactly to order, fresh brewed coffees a bit pricey $ 2.95 but both regular and decaf very good. Had to try the sausage gravy and biscuits — the side order was just $ 1.75 — the best I’ve had in 5+ years. Eggs cooked to order served hot. Brought a menu home — very extensive lunch and dinner. A lot more than pizza. Also see the 10,000 villages store opened next door — very cool. And with Trader Joe’s a few doors down it’s a great location.

Bam!!! Had the Korean BBQ Pizza«again» and it rocked! One day I’ll get over it and try one of the other great looking pizzas. This place never disappoints and the server Brent is a great server. One tip — order one size larger. The pizza makes great leftovers for breakfast. Yes, breakfast!

This is one of our new favorite places in the area. They have a really good local beer selection with some unique choices I haven’t seen elsewhere. If you are really into local ingredients, they also have photos on the wall of the goats from a North Carolina farm used for the goat cheese! We really like the pizza here because it’s different from what you’d typically expect. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it flatbread, but it is pretty thin crust, like from a brick oven. The hubs and I have had the Meatlover’s choice each time, as well as the goat cheese balls as appetizers. We really enjoy bringing family here, and they look forward to Patrick Jane’s when coming to visit!

I’ve been here twice now, and all I can say is meh… The good: Their salad dressings are solid, and the salads(although expensive) are decent tasting. The meh: Their service; the wait staff seems bored. They aren’t rude or unattentive by any means, just ambivalent, which I expect at a Pizza Hut, but not at a higher end place. The bad: Way too overpriced for the portion. Unfortunately, and the biggest sin of them all, their tomato pizza sauce is disgusting. It’s incredibly sweet, and doesn’t pair well with any of the savory things they put with it… it’s sweet enough to completely over power them. My suggestion, save your money, drive a little farther, and get a flat pizza from the Whole Foods deli.

I like the place, although I think it’s a little too brightly lit. I have been there twice, and the food is very good. No complaints there. My biggest gripe is that the prices are NOT cheap, and the staff stands around the bar chatting with each other. In other words, the atmosphere of the place does NOT match the price point! Please keep your kids(staff) out of sight when they are bored, not sitting at the end of the bar shooting the crap.

I am so glad I talked my wife into coming here tonight! Never been before but we will definitely be back. The food tastes fresh and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. One of the owners came out and chatted with us. She was really nice and welcoming! Try this place now! Don’t wait! Go! I’m so full right now.

OMG! Love this pizza. I’m a big fan of thin crust, and Patrick Jane’s Pizza is thin, crispy perfection. We started with the AUSTRALIANSAUSAGEROLL. This I can only describe as a meatball on crack; sausage and beef roll with onion and Aussie seasonings in a puff pastry. How can you go wrong with that… Pure awesome! Then for the main course. Fortunately there were a few of us, so we were able to try multiple types of pies. You can pick two types on a medium or large size. We didn’t go too crazy on the toppings, even though the server recommended that the odder sounding pizzas are the best. The pizzas: POSHCHICKEN(mozzarella with chicken that has been marinated in tomatoes, onion, cilantro & lime) — I am a huge fan of cilantro and lime. This was my favorite of the bunch; tender and juicy chicken on a crispy crust… Yummm! THETUSCAN(pesto, mozzarella, and basil) — my least favorite, but still very good. MEATLOVERS(mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, and bacon) — a non-adventurous option, but an excellent choice if you don’t want to try something to out there. SOUTHERNPIMENTOPIE(garlic, pimento cheese, mozzarella, bacon, jalapenos, tomato, and arugula) — I am not a big fan of pimento cheese, but this pizza had only a mild pimento cheese flavor. A well balanced topping selection; this was my second favorite. Can’t wait to go back and try something a bit more outrageous.

If you travel Kildare Farm Road long enough, you just might find everything you need in life. That is, as long as you’ve got the dough. The Butcher’s Market and Trader Joe’s are trying to empty full pockets as fast as a roadrunner driving the car from«Bullitt.» But there are times when you run up on a completely adequate business offering top notch wares at affordable prices. Patrick Jane’s Gourmet Pizza Bar does and does not match up to the challenge. Now, of course there’s the draw of their using local products. Beth Moore’s Produce, Ronnie Moore Farms, LL Urban Produce, etc. will give you fine fruits and veggies. They patronize sweet ventures like Liz Lovely, China Mist Tea and Caputo Flour of Naples, in an effort to provide us with damn fine options. Under no circumstances can I take pot shots at their ingredients or providers. I’m fans of both. I just don’t like their end results. They cater, hold events, have a discount club, as well as hock liquor and gluten free choices made up of flour containing potato starch, rice flour, cornstarch, soy flour, egg yolk, salt, olive oil, yeast and sugar. I tell ya, this business is trying hard to appeal to, and appease. That’s why it’s tough for me to strike them down the middle instead of writing a glowing review full of praise and pretty words. I just flat out don’t like their food, nor do I appreciate a couple of their protocols. Let’s go into my two experiences at the restaurant. The first time I was there, I ordered an entrée and sat outside. Service was dim-witted and had terrible trouble providing me with utensils without spots. Worse, I wasn’t able to try their pizza because I was too early for their pizza menu, and had to go for something else. Yeah, you read that right — a pizza house with the word«pizza» in the name wasn’t making any pizza during 11am lunch. That sucks. Not a good start. I hope husband and wife team Patrick and Jane(no, there is no «Patrick» with the last name«Jane») take note of that one point if they care nothing else about this review. So, I had the Basque Piperade. It looked great but had a sharp, seasoning-heavy taste. I was told it was a popular dish, and that’s the only reason why I ordered it, seeing as though I wanted pizza from the start. Also, the 4 toasted baguettes used for dipping ran out swiftly and I had to get more to keep the meal alive. However, I wouldn’t recommend baguettes for this because they were too crunchy, bordering on very hard. But the meal is pretty salvageable when you dip, but just digging in with a fork left me unsatisfied. That leaves me to my second outing wherein I actually had the chance to try their pizza. It was the margarita pie with mozz, tomato sauce and basil chiffonade. In my opinion, the cheese was heavy and I don’t like chomping down and getting a mouth full of cheese when a pizza should have so much going for it. I think that all the ingredients should compliment each other and not one should be so massively overpowering. Also, it was a to-go dish, and sat jammed up in the box with a haphazard lack of effs given. The basil was charred around the edges, and I prefer that it keeps alive a more freshly picked charade. No hurry to return because they’re not doing what I want them to do with the the great tools they afford themselves. Now that I think of it, their prices aren’t that bad. I think 20 wings for $ 22 is doable, and a $ 10 Philly Cheesesteak had better be awesome — but maybe it is. I haven’t tried it and I probably won’t. However, I wish them tons of success.

Really cool setup for seating — you can sit indoors in the restaurant, or in their partly enclosed outdoor area, or at their full bar. So perfect for families, after work happy hours, or a chill evening when the weather demands eating al-fresco. That’s a hard combo to hit right, esp in Cary. Thankfully, the food and service appear to be just as nice. We had 3 pies, one plain cheese for the kids, and a pimento/bacon/jalepeno and peaches/ham pizza for Mom & Dad. We really enjoyed the sweet potato fries appetizer as well. The food came out pretty quickly, but you could tell everything was prepared fresh, and to order. If you take a full pizza home, be sure your fridge can fit their long rectangular boxes. If not, just eat all of it in one sitting — shouldn’t be too hard :)

My wife and I stopped in for lunch today. The location is conveniently located by several shops we frequent as well as a new bottle shop that seems to be opening almost next door. The service was fantastic from the welcome(the owner I think) to the waitress. They offered plenty of info and advice. And the décor is comfortable and relaxing. The menu is jam packed with very unique combinations that seem to be all over the place but come together nicely. We ordered the Goat Cheese Balls and a large pizza with half Brie & Pear and half Mexican Mole. The fact that they let you split the medium and large pizzas means one less difficult compromise I have to make. The Goat Cheese Balls were good but so far from worth the $ 7.95 price. I kind of saw that coming but my wife really wanted to try an app. The pizza was good too but again, not quite to the $ 23.95 price. The toppings were plentiful, especially on the Mole, but overall both pizzas had less flavor than I expected. I really liked the people and the farm to table concept. And maybe the answer is to order from the lunch specials. I certainly wouldn’t order from the menu again. I don’t mind paying that kind of money when I walk away from a restaurant dreaming about my next visit but that wasn’t the case here. Based on the people and the concept, I hope they either find their following or make the necessary adjustments.

Really unique and creative pizza joint here that does all their pies on flatbreads. They are enormous if you get the large and most of the times we have gone everyone gets a personal and shares them cause there so many to try. I like the calabrese and really want to try the korean BBQ soon just havent gotten a chance. I will say that I dont recommend the wings since they are pretty pricey and were overcooked when I ordered them. Their menu is huge and all over the place if youre in the mood for any type of food and they make their desserts all from scratch which are all great. The service is always great and the owners are usually there walking around to ask everyone how they like to food and if they have any feedback. They also source all local ingredients and local beers which is really awesome for a restaurant to do and is one reason ill continue to support them. Great spot for Kids too.

Clean and friendly restaurant with covered patio dining as well. Server was friendly and attentive. They use NC grown produce and the veggies tasted really fresh on my gluten free pizza. Crust is thin and crispy. Owner comes by table and makes sure you are taken care of. You can create your own pizza. Lots of ingredients to choose from. Desserts look fresh and portion size is good and there is a nice selection of beer and cocktails. I like that they have a community board and posters informing you of upcoming events in the area.

Stopped here for a quick bite while on a grocery shopping trip. loved it! We ordered the artichoke and asparagus gourmet pizza pie and the flourless chocolate cheesecake. Both were delish! I’m sure the other stuff on their menu is just as great. We found a groupon for a large pizza and dessert for two. which was a good deal otherwise this place could be a tad bit pricey(worth it but still!) Staff was friendly and helpful-answered our silly questions and made suggestions too: p All in all, a good place to catch up with an old friend or just simply to hang out!

Cute little pizza place in the TJ’s strip mall on Kildaire Farm rd. I met a friend here for dinner the other week on her recommendation. My friend is gluten free and they have a lot of gluten free options from pizzas to salads. Even though I’m not gluten free I wanted to try out this gluten free crust — I’ve only had gluten free crust at one other pizza place in town and I wasn’t a huge fan. The pizza here is all thin crust which I love. I saw some of the large pizzas coming out and they were huge not your normal looking pizzas either, the pizza comes out in a rather oval shaped pie. The menu is full of all types of pizzas from vegan, gluten free, veggie, meat lovers and more. There were so many unique combinations to choose from that I had a hard time making a choice. I decided to try something a little different the apricot and pistachio pizza with four cheeses: mozzarella, gorgonzola, parmesan, and provolone, topped with fresh arugula. I loved how fresh the topping were and all the flavors worked well together but there was a little too much apricot preserves for me. We also shared the hummus appetizer with gluten free crackers which was so good. The hummus and the crackers were really tasty. They also have a lot of salads to choose from but it was a pizza kind of night. My friend ordered the white pie and I really enjoyed it. I love the selection, you can’t find these kinds of pizzas anywhere else. However if you are looking for traditional pizza this might not be what your looking. They serve beer and wine and had a sangria special while I was there. For $ 5 I had a refreshing glass of white sangria. They have a great outdoor patio, advertise nice lunch specials, and it’s family friendly. I would definitely check this place out again when I’m on this side of town.
