−−21÷100 Reviews for 2016– This place has all you need for island fabrics! Came here in search of a pareo(Tahitian word for wraparound skirt) because I wanted to get into Tahitian dancing. I was so surprised of how beautiful the fabrics were. There is a large selection of Hawaiian and Polynesian style fabrics, it’s a little overwhelming at first haha. They usually sell the fabrics by yard. Some are $ 2−4/yard but they really depend on the different fabrics. I came in asking if they had pre-made pareos and they did! It was perfect because it was exactly the style & colors I envisioned. I got a black pareo with hot pink plumeria flowers on it. It was gorgeous!!! The staff is awesome and very welcoming. Very attentive to your needs. There’s an auntie who makes dresses here, so if you need something done, you should inquire here!

island fabric usually is so hard to find unless I go to boutiques with limited selection or drive all they way to la through traffic and pollution to the fabric distric. I LOVETHISSTORE. Not only can I get last minute solid pareos for dance but there are rows and rows and stacks and stacks of beautiful Polynesian patterns. I personally come here when I have extra money and look on the discount rack, just to stock up on pretty material for future costumes and things. every step you take you will gasp and say«oooo that is so pretty, I want that one». also they can order(or might have some in stock) Tapa! super great vibes, super chill, makes you feel like family, and the auntie who makes dresses in the back makes beautiful clothes.

When you walk into the store, I felt a flush of creativity when I look at the variety of awesome and beautiful fabrics!!! Super super affordable! You don’t really need help, but seems that the people that worked there weren’t very familiar with the fabric itself but they answer pretty general questions and it’s so much faster if you need them to go on a hunt for stuff for you.

Came here last week with my aunts, mom & grandparents to purchase some island style fabrics for my grandpa’s 80th birthday party. It’s Hawaiian themed(obviously) & our family is getting formal dresses & shirts made. Found this gem through Unilocal & we were pleasantly surprised! Good variety of fabrics, very affordable & extra helpful staff. I believe we paid approximately $ 200+ for a total of 34 yards of fabric.(All to be turned into clothes for 10 people) Different fabrics are priced at different costs — the ones we were looking at were $ 2-$ 4/yard. They also have other accessories & flags for any island style party you may have. The two guys working there were extremely helpful & super nice. One of them(I forgot his name!) suggested a seamstress in the area who could make our dresses & shirts. We went to her shop the exact same day & were very pleased with her as well. This shop very much carries the Aloha spirit!

They have great service and always have a good selection of fabrics. Plus this store is easier to get to than the store in DTLA and has free parking!

great fabrics. Great price. Good Variety. It would be nice if the price of the fabrics were marked and there was someone there that knew more about the fabric itself. Either way, I’ll definitely be back to buy more :)

This place has a very large variety of amazing Hawaiian and Tropical fabrics. I was immediately fascinated by the different patterns, styles, and materials available. Because of their large selection, I needed help finding what I was looking for and the staff was extremely helpful in narrowing down the choices to what I had in mind. They are very friendly and know their inventory well. Their prices are reasonable and the quality of the products are top notch. Thank you for a great shopping experience and I will be back soon to buy more of your awesome products!

This is my first time buying fabric… ever…and it’s been a great experience. With just a quick call, they were more than willing to help me figure out what type of fabric would fit my event and to work with me with pricing to help keep the cost low for my nonprofit. Definitely going to continue working with them in the future!

I had to find some fabric pronto and found this place online. Drove over and I was amazed at their selection! Little did my girlfriend know, she was about to get a bunch of beautiful fabric! I was very pleased with the quality and the price. Seeing I bought some fabric as a surprise for my girlfriend, the sales reps really helped out and gave some recommendations! Would I recommend this place? Heck yes!

Island Fabrics is appropriately named: it’s full of beautiful, colorful Hawaiian, Polynesian and Tropical prints fabrics. There is a large and varied selection of fabrics. Many of 100% cotton, some are poly or cotton /poly blend. Lots of border prints too. The staff didn’t say much. I was there several minutes before they even asked if they could help me or if I had questions. The prices are not clearly marked so you do have to ask a sales person fabric prices. It’s worth the trip if you need island fabrics and don’t feel like going downtown.
