Gordon’s Photo Service

Gordon photo service is always a perfect place to print some pictures. They’ve some good collections too from cam bags, Lens, frames to selfie stick.
And they can take pictures too for passport identification photo also.
Their service is always nice and friendly. The price is not expensive at all. The quality of the printings are great.
I’m glad that we’ve Gordon here in town.

I knew what I wanted before I even came in here, so, yeah, I could have just sat at my desk and pushed a few buttons and waited for the UPS to fetch it for me.
But sometimes you want to look at it, and feel it, and maybe even smell it before you purchase it.
And sometimes, you want to ask someone a question that is not sitting with a headset in his ear, talking to you from a million miles away.
I don’t know any of these people, but I get the distinct impression that they didn’t just start taking photos yesterday. I get the feeling that they’re there because they like what they do, unlike the guy at Big Box Store who is distracted by what’s playing on the 75 televisions.
And, although my needs were simple, I’ll bet if I asked «how is my focal length affected by low temperatures using this Croation Fotokemika ASA 183 film on a cloudy day in a Leica Model D?» they would know the answer even though I have no idea what I just said.
Clearly, this is a store I need to visit more often. They didn’t even mind when I asked to smell my new tripod before I bought it.

As professional photographers in Carson City, Gordon’s is a lifeline to photography supplies and resources. Every time my husband or I walk in the door we are greeted with a smile and valuable answers to our questions as well as fair prices for our much needed supplies. Gordon’s has a wide inventory of photography supplies, cameras and papers. I am so glad they are here in Carson City. Thanks for being here.

The great staff at Gordon’s just edited and made canvas prints of one of my photos. The result is incredible. They have always provided me with excellent service, whether I was making a purchase or just asking questions. They really know what they are doing. Make sure you register for their photo club — you can’t beat the deals!

They did a great job on my photo for my Dad’s memorial service. I’ve also gotten lots of cool frames here and photo albums. There is nowhere else you can go in person and talk to an expert about cameras and photography. Gordon, Lisa, and Craig are extremely knowledgeable.

I just discovered this little camera store in our area and I think it’s wonderful!
I came in on Friday afternoon and the staff were friendly, available, and eager to engage with me and every customer that came in. The older gentleman I primarily spoke seemed very knowledgable and we briefly recounted the «gold old days» when film reigned supreme. I believe his name is Craig. A very nice young lady came out who runs the printing side of the business came out to help Craig as additional customers were coming in and she made sure each one was well taken care of. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name.
The shop is physically small but adequately stocked. There is a little of everything but the most prominently stocked good relate to printing, albums, and physical storage. Still, you can find plenty of accessories like caps, hoods, filters, B&W developing materials, etc. Items with a white price tag are eligible for a 20% discount if you join their buyer’s club. I didn’t get a membership card when I joined during my visit and I was told to just keep the receipt. Fair enough, I suppose, but I would have appreciated a card to keep in my wallet. Continuing, I think there is enough white price tagged material for me and my «vintage» tastes to keep me well occupied.
Their camera selection in the store is small but I was thrilled to see just how many Pentax models they carry! The digital camera world is saturated with Canon and Nikon models and seeing Pentax is like a breath of fresh air. Prices were marked at MSRP it seemed and the tags were yellow. I’m saving up for a Q7 and this may be the place I get it at!
There is no used gear here. They have a second location in Reno for that.
Overall, I think this is a great little shop that I hope I can visit regularly, especially after joining their buyer’s club.

Staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Called ahead to see if they had the accessory I needed, and they went right to it and selected the proper one for my camera model. I’ll be back!
