Only my second review. I have been coming here for a few years for lunch and have never been disappointed. The prices are very low the quality is very high the place is clean the service is fast and friendly. It doesn’t reek of garlic! The servings are more than generous choice of fried or regular rice, one of two types of soup, spring roll and a generous main course; or a good size bowl of war won ton soup. All for under $ 10. It’s not fancy just good.

My husband and I went to get dinner, the waiters sat us and immediately wanted to take our order, we asked for another minute. Waited about 10 minutes after my husband let the lady at the front know we were ready to take our order. Another 5 minutes the waiter comes in after his smoke break not even washing his hands and immediately goes to take another couples order that just walked in. The other couple was completely rude along with the staff of this establishment. We got up and left. We will not be back here for this reason and from previous experience the food quality (most bland Chinese in town, with normally the fastest service) is not worth the wait.

I don’t know if they have new cooks now but the food was horrible! Ordered chicken with vegetables, absolutely no flavor. Also ordered general chicken, no flavor and soggy!

my husband and I chose to have dinner here when our go to Chinese restaurant was closed. I can not say that it was an enjoyable meal. The Hot & Sour Soup was good, but the rest of it was greasy and lacked any flavor.

I’ve heard of China East and knew it had a drive thru and I had not tried it sooner for that reason. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was, I didn’t go with the dinner special, good value maybe but usually not the best items the restaurant serves. I tried a special kung pao and was very pleased with the flavor and spice level before adding additional chili sauce. After trying all the other Chinese places in Carson and not having Chinese for about a year I was surprised how good China East was and will be back soon. They also serve beer and wine.

One star for the decent prices and one star for my boyfriends alright shrimp dish he ordered. This place has a drive thru and its not that nice outside or inside but its alright.
I had the wonton noodle soup and I was disappointed. First of all I asked for egg noodle and they gave me chow mein noodles. When I told the boy waiter I asked for egg noodle he told me it was. The soup has broccoli and carrot and no bocchoi. Um… okay. It was tasteless and not close to comparable to my grandmas wonton soup.

If you are a meat eater, do not come here. I ordered curry chicken, and all I got was vegetables covered in curry and maybe about 5 pieces of chicken. This is pathetic. Lunch specials are reasonable starting at $ 6.50… But again, you get NO MEAT.

If you are looking for delicious rice at a place with an unusual kind of ambience and a price tag of $ 5.95, you might love this place.
Upon arrival the dining room was busy and it was nice weather, so I sat at a table outside.
The pork fried rice and scrambled egg were almost perfect! (A touch too much oil for my taste.)
The food was hot, the service was fast and the staff was friendly. Today was the perfect day to dine on the patio. I noticed they have a drive thru too.
I will definitely return with some requests and more fried rice. I may be on a mission now… Best Rice! China East could be considered …

This is the first place I was introduced to when I moved to the Tahoe area and it has been my favorite since! Lunch and dinner specials are excellent. When I am in the Carson area I set time aside to go in and get something to eat.
Their service is fast! Their hot and sour soup is one of, if not the best I have had. Any of their plates and specials will not only fill you up but will not break you wallet.

Went to China East the other night for dinner. Hadn’t eaten inside the restaurant in years. I usually utilize the drive-​thru. The inside service was good and they were very attentive. There was two of us and we ordered the Canton Family Dinner. Portions were large and the price was right. We had enough left over for a couple more meals. Will be returning!

Fantastic service, food, prices, and portions. My husband and I had the dinner specials, and they came with three appetizers, all very yummy. Our son got the Generals chicken and couldn’t come close to finishing, and he’s a teenager! The veggies are fresh and crisp and it is obvious everything is homemade. We just moved here from Indiana and we are so happy to have a new favorite!

Being that China East is just minutes away from our house, my family and I are frequent fliers here. The service is always great. No matter the server we get, they’re fast and friendly. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are sizable. It always comes out hot and fresh and tastes delicious, no matter what you get! Definitely worth trying out.

As a East coast transplant it is hard to find «Great» Chinese food that compares.
China East is that place — only better, they are super fast, really great prices, and have a drive through — What a drive through, yep, it is that fast.
My favorite the Sesame Trio (Pork, Chicken and Shrimp) $ 8.95 comes with steamed rice, enough food to get two meals out of it.

FAST FAST FAST. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. Food is good. Only complaint is their Mongolian beef (my fav)… Waaaay too much green onions. But other than that, this place is the go-​to for Chinese in Carson. Especially during lunch specials!

Just passing through Carson City and wanted to stop for a quick lunch. Chinese food is always my favorite, so I found this place on Unilocal,and got the lunch special. General chicken, rice, chicken chow mein, hot and sour soup, and an egg roll for only $ 6.50 (what?!).
This is a price I would pay for much less food that was lower quality. This food was great. The general chicken had a perfect golden crispy texture, and the soup was exceptionally flavorful.
Staff was helpful and efficient and whatever they’re doing in the kitchen is working. Will definitely stop by here again my next time through Carson City.

Really a 3.5. Got hungry at the DMV so I Unilocaled what I could grab to eat quickly and found this place. Someone mentioned in a review that it was slightly hidden by a lot of trees and that helped me locate it quickly. For $ 7, I got a huge amount of food: a pot of steaming hot tea plus a lunch special which came with a main entrée PLUS an egg roll, rice AND lo mein. What the what? Everything came out very quickly. Yes, it’s very Americanized but for these prices, this is a decent option if you want fast fast fast fast.
