Service could use some help… Hostess/​Server looked overwhelmed when we walked in, but she let us sit where we liked. No one smiled, but in my opinion when you don’t have much help you get tired! The young girl clearing the table did not respond at all. Maybe, next time they will have a better day. On the positive note, the prices were low, the food was tasty and fast! If we are in the area again, we will stop in for a quick lunch!

We always get take out and everthing we’ve tried has been awesome. the eggrolls are fabulous! Those and the bbq pork fried rice are the best in town. I can’t say anything about dine in service but take out service is great. I love chinese and it’s so hard to find a restaurant around here that can cook better than a steamtable full of crap. Give it a try, take it home if you if you don’t like the service but love the food.

Good food and good atmosphere. Not like a lot of restaurants where they harass u every 5 min. And the more you come (being a regular) the more talkative they get. You definitely feel welcome by your 3rd visit. Been coming here for like 8 years and try to come once a month or more.

Food was okay and the young girl at the front didn’t seem like she understood what I was asking for. The worst part and the reason why I will never go back is I had to listen to the cook sneeze then cough up loogies while I was trying to eat. I don’t get how they pass the health inspections. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever experienced at a restaurant. I was a waitress for 8 years and I get how the food service industry works but this was beyond gross.

I should pay attention to reviews. While the food is okay (tasty and good sized portions) the service is terrible! Never waited so long for Chinese food while watching 1 server and 1 assistant (very young teenager) try and take care of all tables. Not friendly at all but not rude either. Just didn’t seem to care much. I honestly believe the service suffers due to all the to go orders in this restaurant. We will not come back here again especially when there are many other Chinese food restaurants in the area to choose from. If it’s close to home for you come in and enjoy the food. You probably won’t enjoy the service but you’ll save yourself a drive across town.

I’ve never had such bad service at a place, not that I can remember anyways. I feel like they could teach «Dick’s Last Resort» employees a thing or two.
There are several other places in Carson City that serve better food. And everywhere in Carson City has better service.
Rarely ever do I wish for bad fortune for others. But I would prefer this place just close down.

The food is pretty good. It is pretty average to good taste, etc. But the service is really lacking, and one waitress today was rather rude and condescending as we were ordering. We came in between what I would guess is between their rushes, late afternoon and you could tell they would rather us not have been there. It took quite a while to get us sat down despite the lack of customers. As we were eating there was no one who came to see how things were going. We will not be going back any time soon.

I was very excited to have a Chinese restaurant so close to our house. The prices and choices were NOT as agreeable as our usual, but that one is across town. The food, I ordered cashew chicken, all tasted the same. Not much difference in my dish, than my husbands, and he didn’t order what I did. Sweet n sour chicken was mostly breading with very grisly tendon filled dark chicken meat. My son ate nothing, and my view right in front of me while I ate, was the drink cooler with opened drinks and staff lunches sitting on different shelves. The ironic thing was the sign taped to the coolers door that read, NO PERSONAL ITEMS IN COOLER. If this health code violation is in our face, what violations are hidden? We were the only customers the entire time also. We will drive across town to our favorite always friendly and clean Chinese place.

Chicken has flavor, right? As do shrimp, corn and egg.
Those were among the key ingredients in the dishes my girlfriend and I ordered during a recent visit, and they all tasted exactly the same. Which is to say, they were devoid of flavor.
This place’s atmosphere is Spartan, to say the least. The walls are nearly empty, and the yellow-​paint interior pattern can be distracting. I want to say something good about my experience here, so I’ll say that the employees were polite even though we arrived about 35 minutes before closing time.
I don’t like giving restaurants fewer than three stars in a review. But I have to be honest when I’m this underwhelmed. My five-​star reviews aren’t really legitimate unless I’m also willing to give one star when it’s warranted. It’s warranted here.

My wife and I both got sick after eating takeout from here. Stomach was in knots for hours!!! Called and complained and they said it was because we didn’t drink warm tea with it? Are you freaking kidding me? Never, ever, ever again.

Carson City dining on Saturday evening is slim pickings. Nice folks, average food. They are accomodating, which helps. Beware of screaming kids — as the place is realtively in-​expensive — so folks bring very young kids. Lots of take out going on. They do serve wine — but it is on the cheap side…

The food and service is fine. One issue is the owner’s surly and sullen daughter,
who sometimes answers the phone, and works as a «hostess» .Other reviewers have commented on her in other review websites. If this «darlin» is working there still, she is a business killer… The Golden Dragon prepare both on site food and to go orders quickly. There is usually television on, blaring with a Chinese television show on, and the owners are both nice people…

If I could I would give it negative stars. I got dinner here for me and my husband. Chow mein, a chicken dish and a «special» scallop dish. I tasted the scallop dish and thought is was disgusting. My husband doesn’t like to waste food so he ate it anyway. 12 hours later he ended up in the hospital for 2 days with food poisoning. I ate everything else but the scallops and that’s all we ate that day. I was fine but my poor husband spent 2 days in Carson Tahoe with a whopping case of Salmonella.

Ok when you are sat at a table where you can see through to the kitchen where a guy is hacking up a huge bin full of whole chickens, you kind of lose your appetite. I could not even finish my kung pao after watching that.
In addition it appeares that they they use msg because my hands swelled up the day I ate there. I have a sensitivity to MSG and food with MSG always causes my hands to swell up. And my hands don’t lie…
In my opinion is just because its cheap, it doesn’t make it right — yuck!

I’ve eaten here once, and that was enough for me. The food, service, atmosphere was all pretty lackluster or average. There’s at least 5 other Chinese places in this town that taste exactly the same. The foods cheap, so you get what you pay for! Good for a low budget though!
