Just isn’t working for us… We had not been back to this place in 4 years and we were excited to give it another try. The food was delicious and the service was friendly, but we won’t be coming back. First, the food doesn’t taste as good coming up as it tastes going down. Then second, the owner is creepy. He just paced back and forth in the restaurant the whole time. He never stopped by the table, he never asked us how our meal was, in fact, he never even smiled. There was only one other table with customers on a Thursday night at 7… Maybe that’s why the owner was pacing… or maybe he was pacing because he was trying to figure out how to clean up all the puke.

Arrived an hour ago… party of 8. Cook just arrived at our grill. Way too long to wait. At the conclusion they apologized and reduced the check by 20%. Shows they were concerned. Will try again.

Love their rolls. Do not miss eating their Monster Crab appetizer. Love the rolls and of course the fried ice cream dessert. Service is very efficient and the restaurant is clean.

We are regulars of Masu. My son loves sushi from here, his favorite is white dragon roll, sashimi roll is also good. We love to try their special every time. The service is good. Nice atmosphere, and has a good hibachi grill. We finish every time with green tea tempura ice cream! Our favorite!

Awesome first experience! Food was great! I had the steak and chicken masu combo. Steak was very tender. And the entertainment by the chef was hilarious, had us laughing all night. I also had a frozen strawberry margarita which was very tasty! I will definitely be back again.

This place is a good stop for a quick sushi fix. The restaurant is split between 2 sections: a sushi bar/restaurant area and the hibachi grill section. It’s a cute quiet place. I like the décor, it has that cool Japanese vibe that makes you feel like you’re actually in Japan. So it’s pretty cool. We got a Philadelphia roll, salmon roll, and the Lotus on Fire roll. Be careful on getting the Lotus on Fire if you have a milder taste bud, it is really spicy. Salmon roll was good. Pretty fresh fish. The service was ok. She came by a couple of times to see if we liked the food but didn’t really pay attention to what we needed like water. All our water cups were empty and she just walked off. We kept on having to ask for her to refill our classes. I also felt like she was rushing us to leave. She brought the check out and just stood there. We were just talking and it wasn’t til a good minute or so when we realize she was still standing at the table waiting for us to pay… It was a little awkward. I’d go back. Definitely no my «go to» place but I’ll stop in for a quick fix or something

Of all other Hibachi restaurants in the area, this one is our favorite. There is something different about this place that sets it apart from other hibachi restaurants: the food tastes better, the service is always above-and-beyond, and we are always seated promptly. Last night we ate here for my brother-in-laws graduation and we’re lucky enough to have head chef, Dustin Chan, as our chef! He really made the experience exceptional, and gave us the greatest meal! Seriously couldn’t believe how good the food tasted. It’s obvious they use nothing but the finest ingredients and put a lot of care, consideration and effort into making the greatest dining experience possible. I would also like to mention how family-friendly this restaurant is, we have two young boys and this is one of the few places we can take them. Thank you for your unbridled hospitality, above-and-beyond service, Dustin Chan, we will be back!

Delicious sushi! Service was okay, reason being because when we walked in we didn’t know where to go, no one was there to greet us. When someone finally did, we were seated at the grill with another party. It was awkward because it was just my friend and I basically barging into the other people’s group. So we asked to get moved to a table. They were pretty nice about letting us move, but why put us there in the first place? This was our first time, so a sense of direction would’ve been nice, but still, good food!

We have come here before and never fail to be completely satisfied. The head chef, Dustin Tran, served us tonight– it was just myself and my fiancé and even though it was just us two, he started cooking for us immediately– NOWAITING– which never happens at Benihana or Jinbeh. The food is so fresh and such high quality, and they’re so incredibly consistent. Such a fun place for romantic or family. Will come back again ASAP!!! Thanks Dustin!

Best Japanese I’ve had in north Dallas. «Ricky Bobby» was a great hibachi chef. Mixture of chef and stand up comedian. The service was good and the food was fantastic!

Food isn’t bad. In fact, it’s actually good. But it’s over priced. $ 16 for hibachi chicken. $ 3 more if you want fried rice. I ordered an extra chicken breast as a side($ 5) and it was just dumped into the mix for the entire table. The portion I got wasn’t even the normal size chicken breast that was suppose to come with my dinner. As for the veggies, by the time he got me me, all that was left were scraps. The server didn’t come around until after we had eaten so there was no way to address this with her. The food was served in shifts. First the rice. Then when the food was gone, he did the veggies. Then when we all were out of veggies, he finally served the meat. Beowulf have been nice of some of this overlapped a little. Manager never came by either. I mentioned it was my birthday — nothing for that. As I said, food was good, but not a good value, and the service wasn’t real good. Not sure I would go back. For that price we can go to Geisha in Plano which has none of the service or portion problems. Hana in Garland is just flat out better in all respects.

Delicious! Would recommend the Texas Ranger Roll, Monkey Brain, Toro and the clear fish soup! Sit at the sushi bar for the ultimate experience and ask for Ken!

Dustin, The Asian Guy, was amazing. He took care of my lady and I very well. Best Hiabchi in town, hands down! His service excellence has turned me into a regular. Thank you Dustin, keep up the great work.

Great hibachi steak. Fried rice is amazing. This from someone who prefers not to eat rice most of the time. Chef is very fun and entertaining. Short wait for hibachi.

Took the family here for the first time last night for my son’s birthday. By far it was the best experience we’ve ever had at a hibachi restaurant. The food was wonderful. They have a better list of hibachi options than I’ve seen anywhere else. Our chef Dustin was the best part of the entire meal. He made it feel like a family affair. He even managed to talk our 4-year old into eating her vegetables(not kidding.) The yellowtail melted in our mouths. Thanks Masu and Dustin for a great evening to remember.

Great hibachi. Tender filet and jumbo shrimp cooked to perfection. The«show» wasn’t the best but the guy tried and we don’t really care. We just want the food. Excellent miso and salad with ginger dressing is included and both great. Even the spicy mustard was good. Also had 2 sushi rolls. High quality fish and great custom rolls. This place is definitely getting added to the rotation.

I took 4 boys under the age of 10 here for a fun lunch out. The staff really catered to them and made sure they had a fun experience. The hibachi show was great and he interacted with the boys. The food was great and everyone was full and happy. It’s a tad pricey as their kids lunches could stand to be a little less food and they could lower the price. But I realize you pay for the experience as well and was fine with that. Clean bathrooms, good parking, and nice location.

My wife and I have been here many times since finding it. We LOVE the food itself. The different items are always prepared perfectly from Filet Mignon, Chicken, Shrimp. and Lobster all flavorful and tasty. The fried rice is great ESPECIALLY with the yum yum sauce. It’s a secret special sweeter sauce you have to ask for. It is not on the normal menu to put in the little sauce dishes. This is the first place we found since leaving VA we could find the real yum yum sauce. The one area of opportunity here has been the VERY inconsistent chef«entertainment». We had one chef in the past made the meal entertaining. The other chefs who have cooked for us prepared the food well however we BORING when it came to the entertainment aspect. The last guy barely even did the onion thing as a train or volcano. There was even a child at the table and he really did not entertain her. No flying shrimp or any of the countless tricks and funny things many others do. I wish they would take the entertainment piece more serious especially during the week. It seems like unless you are a weekend customer you are not as important to entertain. We love this place and hope they improve the show
