Called in a large half pepperoni half combination pizza, the gentleman who took my order did not provide a total and simply hung up. I called back and asked for a total and to add ranch onto the order. He abruptly told me it was $ 32 and that he wanted me to pay $ 5 in cash for ranch upon delivery because he already processed the card. I expressed that I was spending $ 32 for a large pizza and should not pay $ 5 for ranch. He began arguing so I cancelled the order. He hung up again without allowing me to finish speaking. When I called back and asked for a manager he said he was the OWNER! I told him how rude he was and that I wanted to ensure he credits my card back at which he replied«we are good» then hung up again. I will never give this location business, especially with this individual running it. I was able to call Pizza My Heart get a much better product and have it delivered with everything I wanted and cheaper than $ 32. Stay away from here if you value where you spend your money.

If the menu says,“Comes with lettuce and tomato”, it not show up with onions. Didn’t even give me the chips that were supposed to be with it. One of the pieces of chicken on my sandwich would have shattered one of their windows had I thrown it.

Instinct should have told me to run. It was 12:30 on a Saturday and no customers were to be found in the dining room. No current pizzas being made, no ringing of the phone for new orders. Something must be wrong here? Kids really wanted pepperoni pizza before our tour of the Carmel Misson. We had just spent the morning at the beach and wanted something fast and casual for lunch. We’ve eaten at many Mountain Mikes in Northern CA and figured we couldn’t go wrong. We ordered at the counter and sat down, plenty of tables to choose from. Pizza came out pretty fast, considering we were the only customers. We ordered a garlic chicken pizza and a small pepperoni for the kids. The kids were fine with their pizza. Ours, on the other hand, was downright awful. First of all, the crust did not taste fresh, it was rubbery and chewy, frozen and re-heated perhaps. Texture and taste was off from the usual MM Garlic chicken pizza. Tomatoes on pizza were pink and scarce. Chicken was rubbery, not fresh grilled chicken breast. Slimy, greasy, darkish meat. Absolutely inedible, half the pizza was left on the table. Décor was so cheesy and outdated, up to my ears in fake plastic grapes and vines. This place just reeks. We did not have any problems with the two Asian guys running the place like others, we stayed out of their way, and vice-versa. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant.

While somewhat of a comical experience, I still have to give this place 1 star. A super rude Asian dude answered the phone when we called to order. After hearing our address, he started going off about his owners ‘balls’(no idea what the hell he was on about) and that the delivery drivers«don’t go up that mountain». Kept interrupting us when we were trying to tell him we’re next to the Hyatt… In short, this dude is a real nutball. After reading other reviews about this guy, I’m honestly astonished he still appears to work there. Whatever. Good luck with your business guys. Lol!

I went there three times watch football games. First time I had pizza, not so good, almost bad. Second a sandwich and hot wings, both poor, sandwich skimpy, wings scrawny. Third pizza gummy crust skimpy toppings

I should have known better to have ordered here based on the 2 star Unilocal review. I ordered a single pizza and bread with the asian manager over the phone for delivery. After telling me the inflated price of $ 36, I verified the order for a SINGLE pizza and bread after which he verified the price. I confirmed the order and he asked me how I would pay for the order. I told him cash and ended the call. 1.5 hours later I still don’t have my pizza. I call the store and the employee tells me he doesn’t see my order and asks the manager. The manager tells the employee that he thought I cancelled the order due to the price(even though we verified price, order and payment method). The manager never got on the phone to apologize or make ammends. The employee and manager refused to make things right and only offered to resubmit the order. I decided to order from another pizza place. You should know that this location has a dismal rating and a lot of terrible reviews on Unilocal, mostly due to customer service and food quality. I do not think I will ever give my business to Mountain Mikes again as this us the 2nd time I’ve had a bad experience and will urge everyone I know to go elsewhere.

Just got our pizza from the rudest driver ever! Showed up with no change for someone who was paying with cash. I was told on the phone it would be $ 32 but yet the delivery guy told me $ 35 and the $ 32 was scratched off my ticket and $ 35 written in. Again driver was RUDEASHELL!!!

We called around 6:30 on Monday night to order 4 pizzas for delivery. We were told that they were so busy that they couldn’t deliver. The pizzas were ordered to feed a group of teenagers. No problem, the adults in charge of these teenagers decided to go get something to eat and then pick up the pizzas. While eating we received a call, asking if we were still planning on picking up the pizzas. We explained that we definitely were getting the pizzas, and just finishing dinner. That call was not friendly. Within 15 minutes we were called again, because the place closes at 8. It was around 7:30. We arrived to pick up 4 very cold pizzas, because keeping them warm would have been to much work. Thankfully, teenagers aren’t that picky. I’m two hours away and thinking about ordering 8 pizzas tonight.

Dining in is fine. But, I tried to order pizza over the phone and all was fine and dandy until I told the man my location. I live LITERALLY10MINUTESAWAY but being that I am underage and don’t own a car, I couldn’t drive there. I live at the top of a hill and I can see the restaurant from my backyard, but it is quite a long walk. I live off a busy street across from a well known middle school. The man on the phone TOLDMEHECOULDN’T DELIVERMYPIZZAANDMOZZERELLASTICKSBECAUSEHECAN’T FINDMYHOUSEON A MAP. I’m pissed off quite frankly and WILLNEVERBEORDERINGFOODFROMTHISRESTAURANTAGAINBECAUSECLEARLYMYSTREETISN“T ON A MAP. also I asked him to say something again and he was very rude about it. Walked in with family and kids and walked right out after a conversation with obnoxious, bitter, old, Asian guy at the counter. Not sure if he is the owner, but I will not buy food from an idiot. We just went to pizza place across the road.

MOUNTAINMIKE’S NEEDSSOMETRAINING… NOW! To paraphrase the Court of King James«Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.» This applies to Mountain Mike’s in Carmel, CA. The first time I called to have a pizza delivered the phone person was a bit rude and hung up on me. I thought, okay, he’s having a bad day, but everyone deserves a second chance. The second time I called to order a pizza to be delivered, the person at the other end of the phone(could have been the same one, or not — not sure) also hung up on me(as I was asking a question). At least the delivery person was relatively decent(probably because it was ‘tip-time’). At any rate, the pizza was just plain ordinary. A review of the place isn’t necessary — because it’s all about service(or lack of). On the«Tommy B Restaurant Rating Scale» from«A» to «F» Mountain Mike’s in Carmel gets an «F» for phone service and a «C» for delivery”. Guess it’s time to find another place for pizza…

The food was good. The old asian waiter was rude. He told me they only has three pastas left. After my ordered, he told me they only left 2. Seems over charged.

If you’re staying in Carmel and looking for pizza DONOT eat here. Head over to Pacific Grove for Mountain Mikes. This location serves old pizza passed off as fresh. Trust me it is not. Old dough, sauce was clumpy and clearly not fresh as the other pizza you find at Mountain Mikes locations. I never write negative Unilocal reviews. Check my history. I feel like people should be aware before they get ripped off too

Pizza Is very low quality at a high price. Got a Mt Everest pizza, the picture looked great, the actual pizza was not.

We’ve had plenty of pizza since our relocation to this area and have tried a variety of pizzas from various restaurants. The downtown Carmel restaurants that feature hand tossed pizza baked in wood fired ovens all seem to taste the same. Made the same too with extremely thin crusts and sparse toppings. I know, it’s gourmet… Last night we ordered and picked up Mountain Mike’s, Pike’s Peak, all meat large pizza. We joined their coupon club. The promotional is a fair deal. Buy one specialty pizza at the regular price and they throw in a one topping large for $ 5. We decided on pepperoni for the second one. There is enough pizza for the three of us to eat leftover pizza through the rest of the weekend. The ingredients appear high quality. It’s a thick crust and it has to be to support the weight of the toppings. Nothing jumped out at me with the cheese but the sauce was on par with Pizza My Heart. We could not be more happy with the food. The facility is as large as a full size restaurant. It’s larger than any chain pizza joint I’ve ever seen. Service was friendly. When I called there was no small talk, all business. I was told it would be 15 minutes and they were right on the estimate. Mountain Mike’s has been promoted to our new pizza pig-out option. The day of a small, trendy pizza for $ 18 bucks is fading for us. Mountain Mike’s prepares a hearty, full sized pizza with a generous amount of toppings at a reasonable price.

Quick and friendly service. Everything you’d expect from a pizza place. It has an nice Italian ambiance which was surprising for a Mountain Mike’s. An easy stop for groups on the way to the beach.

I hate giving out one star reviews but this place deserved it. Over priced pizza and there was no salad at the salad bar. Rude service from an Asian employee and really wasn’t worth it at all. I’m not sure who the owner is but he should be aware and concerned about the reputation of this place. I do not recommend and do not stop by. It is not worth your time or money!!!

Went in with 5 other guys from work around the community. 8.99 for lunch buffet. NO Pizza under the hot lamp at all. The place was packed. When the guy brought out one pizza at a time people took several pieces knowing the next one was about a 10 minute wait. People were lining up waiting to get pizza from the heat lamp. Very poor lunch service. The only thing there that kept up with the customers was the soda machine. Pizza was very greasy when I was finally able to get a piece. They need to hire more people and learn how to keep up with customers need.
