Beach City Smoothies

Been here a couple times now and it is good.
Service is a little slow but I imagine because its all freshly made. I hope anyway.
Acai bowls are my favorite so far. They are delicious.
A little pricey but worth it!

I came here to be healthy and because I wanted an acai bowl, well after initially trying the fruit, which seemed frozen wasn’t too impressed but I was once I got down to the actual acai! The sorbet is like nothing I’ve ever had, it’s much less sweet and the consistency is super smooth. Granted, I got the large and the large wasn’t even big enough but then again, I’m also kind of a fatty #noshame! Haha
I also digged the granola which had chocolate (hallelujah) however, I could’ve used more again (fatty, told ya) and this time maybe instead of honey, had coconut shavings! Oh and they have different bowls… I had the beach city bowl, or at least I think that’s what it was called and that was the one with mangos, blueberries AND strawberries.
I’ll be back.

Fantastic experience. The smoothies were bursting with flavor. The atmosphere was hip and inviting. The service was kind and swift. Great place for a snack or afternoon pick-​me-​up. The pricing was fair for top shelf ingredients.

Me, my mom and BFF stopped in for a quick acai bowl. We ended up getting dragon bowls, tea and had such a great conversation with the girl making our goodies. The bowls were so delicious!!!
Every time I am in town and drive up the coast, I stop here. Great customer service and tasty fresh food!

Bad customer service. They are short staffed and it doesn’t seem like they have a system for taking orders and making the drinks.
I went there instead of Jamba Juice because I wanted to support a local business. Bad move. I stood at the counter for over 5 mins with my kids just waiting to order. There were 2 people working and neither of them took my order even when I asked them to take my order. There were only two other people in the restaurant – it was a slow Monday. When I mentioned that rather than work on other people’s orders they should at least just take my order so I could wait, they responded with the excuse that they had other people’s food they had to make. They just seemed overwhelmed and understaffed and frankly like they didn’t care about taking my order. I went to Jamba Juice instead and won’t be back.

This place is normally great. I feel it’s slowly losing my business. Quality has significantly declined on the beach city bowls. Freshness of fruit. Presentation. The pretzels are still bomb tho

Parking here is really easy, there is a small parking lot on the corner next to the shop. I always come here to get the copacabana bowl with chocolate syrup, it’s my absolute favorite acai bowl to get… anywhere (: I hate it when I get acai bowls at other places and it melts so fast around the edges and everything gets soggy, but the acai sorbet they use here is the creamiest and yummiest base ever. Yet again it might just be because I scarf down the entire bowl before it melts^_^ make sure to sign up for their SpotOn rewards card (:

I just walked in there to get a smoothie and I have now decided to write my review. I Would’ve given them 4 or maybe 5 but the girl that helped me kept rushing me. I told her to give me a couple minutes because it was my first time there, and I was still trying to decide what I wanted, but she rushed me like I was a nuisance to her day. (There was only a couple eating in the corner table, there was no line behind me, and not one other customer waiting.)
The smoothie was great, but they need to work on customer service. (actually smiling at customers and being patient) I get it you work, you have a life, you have your own problems, but you’re getting paid to serve people food/​drinks (you chose to work here) at least smile or be some type of friendly.

Such a great smoothie. I got the Vince Four Berry or something like that and its delicious. They had great music as well (Come Together, Layla) and it was a friendly environment. I definitely see myself coming back

Hubby had Cococcino (under Chiller Coffee Smoothie).
Both were yummy!

My favorite place to go when I’m craving an acai bowl or a pitaya bowl. Staff are super friendly. Bowls always made to perfection. I would definitely recommend this place for everyone looking into eating healthy and organic food!
A lot of people are complaining about the price, but acai is expensive, so is pataya! Yes prices go up its called inflation and the raise of min wage means the raise of everything u enjoy.

I have been OBSSESSED with Smoothie Bowls lately… I mean OBSESSED! I buy them, make them, and most of all I eat them… ALL of them.
We ordered:
Pitaya Bowl — Beach City Style Organic Pitaya, mango, pineapple, banana and organic apple juice blended super thick and topped with organic hemp flax granola, banana, mango, strawberries, blackberries, honey and coconut
Now, it says its topped with the hemp seeds but I think they either blended it in or didn’t add it in. It was delicious! I’ve been digging Pitaya lately. This bowl was super filling and not overly sweet.

My husband LOVED this. He always ordered the Banana Boat from Smoothie King, so now that were back on the West Coast, he always tries to find smoothies similar to the Banana Boat. This was it and in fact he liked this one even better!
Its a smaller shop with seating outside. We got here right around opening and maybe 15min later, it got packed! The line was almost out of the door.
I love Carlsbad and I love local spots like this!

This has always been my go to place for acai bowls because of all the yummy fruit and the overal taste :) However, with the new year came new prices. They were already on the more expensive side. Now, they charge even more. When the Beach City Bowl «BB» used to be $ 7.95 and included the granola, honey and coconut, you now have to PAY EXTRA for what used to be included. Not too happy about this! And I asked to substitute blueberries for blackberries; they charged me for the blueberries. The acai bowls are delicious but I’m upset with the price changes. I feel they will loose customers because of this.

This Pitaya (dragon fruit) smoothie is seriously as good as it looks! My favorite color is hot pink so I haaad to try it! It’s pretty effin delicious… way better then jumba juice! Nice, light, not too sweet but sweet enough… I will be back for the bowl lol parking across the st is easy and the service was pretty fast to be pretty busy!

What makes this acai bowl place special is the four options of Acai Bowl (mmm I got the Cocoa Beach with chocolate drizzled on strawberries and banana) and the selection of games, like Uno and Connect Four, although that encourages loitering, not a good thing for a place with a few tables.

Great selection of juices, smoothies and healthy food and beverages. Great selection of coffees. Got a pitaya bowl and my husband got the acai bowl. Mine was pretty good but my husbands was way better. I’d come back again and get the acai bowl next time.

The size of their pitaya bowl, Beach City style, and better and less expensive than Sambazon Café’s Mango coconut Acai bowl… & better!!! Of course I like pitaya a tad better, but nevertheless Beach City’s bowl is a better value. Their pitaya smoothie is amazing as well! Now… if only they made pitaya margaritas!!!

Easily the best acai bowls in North County, maybe in all of San Diego?! The acai smoothie base is delicious and the texture is out of this world… Bordering on sorbet and gellatto… Not like those runny, melty bowls you may have had before. And they don’t skimp on fruit!
The Beach City bowl has granola, mango, black berry, strawberry, blueberry, banana, and coconut, topped with a honey drizzle. The fruit is always perfectly ripe. I’m impressed everytime. Do yourself a favor and try it with a scoop of PB!

I do love me a good smoothie place! Especially one that serves pitaya bowls! Except their pitaya bowls are not the best that I’ve had… I mostly think it’s the use of apple juice instead of coconut milk that turns me off (it’s a common pattern I’ve noticed). Apple juice makes the bowls melt faster/​more watery. Other than that, it was a really good way to start my day!
They kindly added spinach to my bowl upon my request (for an extra dollar). Service was great, the girl working at the front was really sweet. It’s in a really cute area as well, feels very beachy.

Beach City serves some of the best Acai Bowls I’ve ever had! I especially love the Bahia Berry Bowl with coconut. The Acai itself is so rich in flavor and always nice and thick. The granola they use is amazing and complete with mini chocolate chips. The fruit on top is always fresh and perfectly ripe. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu! I also love their pretzels. They are huge, fresh, and soft. The grilled cheese pretzel tastes exactly like a grilled cheese! They offer a rewards program keychain that I highly recommend!
My favorite smoothie is the Berry Smooth Acai. SO GOOD! You can have it blended with all fruit (how I like it) or they can make it with non fat frozen yogurt. Don’t forget your free boost!
