Outstanding wine tasting! The best at the Jersey Shore. The wine selection is impressive and the service provided by Luca and the Turdo family is truly impressive. My wife selected a case for purchase and a second for this Autumn. These red wines are excellent. I encourage you to visit soon while these vintages are available for purchase. Respectfully, The Teesdale Family

Best winery in Cape May hands down. Their wines are much more refined and delicious then all of the other local competition. They do not have the indoor space and seating like the others but if you want elite wines this is the place to go.

One of the best winery’s I’ve been to. Excellent, knowledgeable staff. Meeting the the owner and talking about the Vineyard really made our experience. Love the experimentation with different grapes. We will be back!

A true gem! Felt as if I was walking into a small town winery in Italy. The owners son was so kind and friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines, tastes, etc. This winery deserves 10 stars. Don’t lose your ambiance, your small town feel– it’s what makes this place so exquisite!

This is a seriously special place. The wine is Italian and delicious. I bought two bottles of the barbera and had one last night and it was just as delicious as when we had it in the tasting room, if not more so — a rare thing as usually I never like the wine as much at home as at the winery. They make the only nero d’avolo on the east coast. The staff is very friendly. Our wine server lived in France for a long time and told us about our experiences. It was lovely to hear. She also pulled up a table for us in the tasting room when it got crowded so we could stay while also allowing other people to taste.

Luca was very nice, we did have a big group so I can see why it could’ve been a bit hectic at some points. Not a bad place for a group of about 4 people.

This is my second visit to Turdo Vineyards. I had last visited this excellent winery in 2009. Since then I have visited over 50 wineries(More than half are Napa/Sonoma wines) and was curious to how well these wines would hold after all that tasting. We arrived close to closing time. Both Sara and Sal were running the tasting room. Sara remembered us from back then(that was very touching.) Then came the tasting… Wow. The wines were way better than I remembered them to be. My favorite wines were 2013 Nero D’Avola, Persara and Barbera. These three were the red wines they had available and what a treat! If you love red wines and have lost faith in east coast red wines… let me tell you, your faith will be restored.

Always wanted to visit this winery but the timing was always off. Well we finally got the chance and we were not disappointed. Luca and his mother Sara made my wife and I feel like family. We sampled six of their wines(they were sold out of most of their stock) but fortunately we were able to sample some good ones. Persara and the Sauv-Blanc were our faves. We will definitely come back next year in spring to sample more if not all of their wines.

Stopped by here today. We’ve always wanted to try this vineyard, but constant bad timing prevented it. We will be sure to go out of our way to go back! It was so nice to not have to «wade» threw a few glasses of just okay wine, to get to the really good. The choices are limited, but what they have is top shelf. No high pressure to «push» wine sales. Had Barbara as our server and she was extremely friendly and knowledgable. Will definitely go back. Update 9÷13÷14: Okay, we’ve been back here multiple times now, and it just gets better. Can’t wait to come back and try next years wine! This vineyard, wine is a hidden gem. The family are the friendliest, nicest people I’ve ever met. «Semper Fi»

Great intimate place. Small friendly. Beautiful setting. We have been to all the other cape may vineyards and even though the selection is small, every single wine was great. The port was the best ive had. Sara is very welcoming and knowledgable. You will not be disappointed. Superior wines. The two dogs are sooo cute. The son luke was very friendly. Its all about the wine here and thats a great thing.

Friendly and intimate setting. The wine selection was small, but everything we tasted was delicious. 5 wines for $ 5 is a pretty decent price for the area, but the glasses are not included as they are at the Cape May Winery. More for wine enthusiasts than casual tasters. Regardless, I will definitely visit again next summer.

Beautiful intimate and friendly staff. Yummy wine too! Enjoy a glass or two on the patio with some cheese and crackers available for purchase. If you’re trying to save I would bring a lunch or snack fixings as they are pretty pricey. The owner puts a lot of time and effort into maintaining his grounds… Love it here. One of my favorite spots in cape may

Nice, intimate setting. Short bike ride from the center of Cape May. The staff is friendly and the woman who gave us our tasting was very knowledgable. Their wine is actually really good(hard to get decent wine on the east coast) and very affordable. You can tell the winemaker knows his stuff. We would have bought a few bottles to take home but we were on bikes and didn’t have a bag to carry them :( My only complaint is service on cheese/snacks. We bought a $ 8 block of cheese and were only given a paper plate and plastic knife. We had to ask for a cheese knife in order to open the package so just kept that knife to cut the cheese as well. It would be nice if they had a little board and proper cutlery. Definitely recommend – at least for a tasting!

We stopped in Cape May on our way south on our boat in October 2013 and had a weather day to spend in the area. We saw good reviews of this winery and their website said they were open EVERY day, 12 – 5, and 12 – 4 in the off season. We talked the marina guy into driving us out there and found the gate locked with a sign saying«closed for the season». People, you have a website for a reason, to disseminate information to the public. Please keep it up to date.

Love this place. It’s a family affair. The small venue is elegant with lots of wonderful treats: meat, cheese, peaches in Albariño, brownie brittle. Persara, named for the owner’s wife«Sara» was my favorite wine. Luca’s Reisling was refreshingly dry.

I recently came here on a «surprise field trip» with a group of friends(approx 12) and loved it! We had a private party set up which consisted of tasting wines and pairing it with fruits, nuts. cheese, and chocolate. I don’t remember how many different wines we tasted — but there were a lot! Besides the beautiful atmosphere and décor, the woman who explained the wines and how they were made was delightful and informative! Another plus was that the owners(a family– dad, mom, and son) were interacting with everyone and chimed in with more information about the vineyard/wine. Lastly, we got a mini tour of the vineyard with even more explanations! Overall, it was a great experience and next time I’m in the area I’ll be making a pit stop there! ps– all of my friends(myself included) left with at least 3 bottles of wine! Some more expensive than others– but worth every penny! CHEERS!

We had passed this place a few times on our return from the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, but hadn’t arrived during their tasting hours(12 – 5 daily; 12 – 4 January-March). Very relaxed but attentive service, dog friendly. Self-guided tours of their 5 acres are allowed. For eco-geeks, the winery is run 100% on Solar Energy. Yeah! Whites included a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Grigio; much lighter bodied than we’re used to. Reds included a peppery and clove inflected Pinot Noir as well as a Merlot. Our favourite was their Rose – light, hints of apricot and rose – which we picked up a few bottles of to take home(excellent with seafood as well as Indian food at Abhiruchi a few nights ago). The tasting is $ 5, and includes a souvenir glass(etched with the winery name, hence a keeper). Wines are priced $ 15−25/bottle. Update 10⁄27: I don’t know what they did to the wines in the shop, but the bottles we purchased were nothing like the bottles we tasted in the shop. The rose tasted like water, and the Pinot Noir was undrinkable(imagine something resolent of clove infused swamp water). I was reluctant to post this update, as I appreciate the environmental consciousness as well as the woman who assisted us, but what happened to the wine??? FYI: one bottle of the Pinot was opened in Spring, the other mistakenly opened last week [I came home, saw the opened bottle, and called my husband dumb – for he knew that this was not good for anything aside from possibly braising something really gamy, but even that I doubt at this point] I have only dinged them 1 star because we love the«Turdo» wine glasses which we save for picnics.
