This is such a wonderful place to explore some of Cape May’s nature and wildlife for free at the nature center or arrange to go out on a paddle board or a kayak. The people that run the nature center are hard core nature enthusiasts and love teaching folks about Cape May’s critters and fauna. They run a day camp in the summer for children that has received glowing reviews. I really loved the Kyak tour we took and I can’t wait to go back — — See you next runner Nature Center.

What a great place to take your family… and it is FREE! Wow! The staff at the nature center is engaging and patiently answers questions. Great fun to go up on the deck and the higher lookout and use the binoculars provided for visitors to use. Also on the premises is a room with several aquariums with local sea life for visitors to see. A nice place to go when you need a break from the beach!

My two adult daughters and I wanted to get out and do some kayaking and so checked out the Nature Center. We signed up for the nature tour with a guide. He (Louis) helped us get started (one daughter hadn’t kayaked before) and off we went! We had a wonderful time… never felt out of our comfort zones. Louis (or Lewis?) was there every step (or paddle?) of the way, explaining the wildlife that we saw, carefully leading us, helping us to navigate the course. We bought T-​shirts when done, exhilirated for having gone the whole way and paddled for over two hours. Our T-​shirts are now proudly worn to celebrate our group accomplishment. Thanks to Louis for a great tour!
