So they are supposed to be open till 8pm yet when I arrived 7:30 pm the closed sign was up, then I see the girl working there and I knock and she comes to the door amd said they are closed because«they ran out of all supplies » um yeah ok I’m sure they did *smart remark *

I tried this place once and it was decent but nothing special, my all beef hot dog with fries was just okay but I would give it another try. The décor is very simple. Conveniently located near the movie theater.

Been a regular here since May and its been amazing up until now. My lovely co-worker Vincent went to get me an original chili dog with extra onions. He came back and the order was wrong but it was correct on the receipt so I know he ordered right. Went back to get my order right and they said they don’t accept returned food and tried to charge me again… anywhere else I’d have gone, they would’ve apologized and made a new one for free. These two women(One Asian, the other looked and sounded Russian) didn’t offer me an apology or any consolation of any sort. We will not be going back here again. Customer service is almost as shitty as their smoothies.

Been ordering from this place since I moved to canyon country. They never fail, food is always good, and delicious. I highly recommend this place when you need a good chili cheese dog or burger.

Limited menu. Expected various hot dogs based on their online menu, but there was only a couple kinds.

Got to try the hotdogs from the old owner and the chili was really watery… the new owners made a really good difference though! They were attentive and friendly. They added new things in their menu which is really great if you want an option besides the original. I was really surprised that they have Sabrett! Good all beef hotdogs from New York now can be found in LA? Also love their Thai Iced Tea with boba! Will definitely come back for more!

The other day was the first time i visited the place. It was cool. I am not a big hot dog fan, so take this review for what it is to you. I liked the chili; however, it could use a little more spice. The bun was soft and warm. The fries aren’t that good. But overall it was a cool meal for the night. I wouldn’t make it a favorite spot to hit, but I’ll be back.

The sign says open at 11 just left now 1140 not open. Very disappointing to drive from Newhall to find out the they are out of bread. I have been eaten Cupid hotdogs for the last 30 years in the valley. I don’t recommend the one in Canyon country! Lessons learned I I am sticking to the cupids to Northridge.

I saw the sign from the street. I remember as a kid in the valley my dad taking me to cupids. The chili dogs are so good. So when I saw the sign I stopped in. Same exact taste. I met the owner and he was really nice. The service was great. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants a great chili dog was great service.

Great! I loved the Cupids in Simi Valley and now I live in Santa Clarita. Always in the mood for chili dogs on rainy days and these are perfect. Their hot dogs are unlike any others I’ve had. Always leave with 2 or more. Happy to see they have corn dogs for the kids too! Had a wonderful conversation with the owner today, extremely friendly lady. Thanks again!

I love this place! They serve polish, turkey, chili, footlong hotdogs and all are customizable to your liking. I had a polish dog, french fries and fried chicken wings. Yes, they have wings too and they were good! They also have slushies with boba. Come by for some grub before or after seeing a movie at the Edward’s next door. Tip: If you want to take your dogs in the theater, they can wrap them up nicely for you so you can stick them in your purse =) It’s cheaper and better than movie theater food. The new owners are very friendly and the place is kept very clean. It was my first time there but the other customers who walked in after me seem like regulars so that’s a very good sign. I will definitely come back soon!

Recently moved to canyon country and was surprised to see a cupids next to the movie theater. I stop by once a week at the cupids in Van Nuys when I lived in the valley. There’s something different about a cupids hot dog and chili that will make you come back for more. The young lady over the counter is the new owner, she took over 5 days ago. Very pleasant to talk to while waiting for my order. Price is reasonable, paid $ 6.19 for a combo meal that includes a chili cheese dog made to order, large fries and large drink(free refills). She volunteered to add chili and cheese to the fries for free. New owner is very generous with the portions. She also asked me to try a waffle dog, never seen one before. It’s a hot dog inside a waffle and served with maple syrup or hot chili sauce. Yummy! Will try it next time and take it inside the movie theater. Will definitely visit again!

Pro’s: It’s a cupids dog through and through. Not the best chili dog, but there is *something* about a Cupid’s dog. They also have fries, and although not a Cupid original item, they actually were very good. They also apparently serve other types of hot dogs, but the day I was there the menu was half covered with paper and I could not see the other items. The owner told me they were out of the other items. Con’s: The owners(I think) were extremely hard to communicate with. It was a 5 minute ordeal just to get the order right. I almost gave up at one point and just agreed with her repeat of my incorrect order just to get on with it. «I want one plain dog as well.» «OK, with ketchup?» «No, plain, nothing on it.»

After watching rotting zombies and horrifically mutated monsters wrench organs and other internal bits from people next door at the movie theater, I was pretty darn hungry. As I looked around the parking lot of the movie theater, and saw the Route 66 grill, saw the Oggi’s Brewery, saw a sushi place, saw a Baja Fresh, a Coldstones, and then this place. I didn’t want to spend alot of money, and had that hot dog hankering. I walked up to the place and the guy sitting outside at the table playing on his phone got up, greeted me, and walked behind the counter. I guess my befuddled«how do I do this» look was successful, as he pointed to a sign with their prices, and I looked briefly at it. After a quick perusal I decided upon two ‘regular’ Cupid dogs and one corn dog. ‘Regular’ dogs had onions, mustard and chili. I nodded and paid for my meal, it ended up at ten and some change. No drink, no fries, no nothin. For ten and change at Der Weinershnitzel down the street I could have feasted like a king. But I’d heard good things about Cupid’s so I decided to see how it played out. I sat down outside at a table and began a game on my trusty gameboy. Before too long, another guy came out with a tray with the three hot dogs on it. They looked quite tasty. He quickly rushed me a bottle of ketchup, and thanked me for my order, he also warned me that the corn dog had just come out and was really really hot. So I finished up my game of Plants Vs. Zombies and began in on one of the chili dogs. The onions, mustard and chili were quite good on top of the crisp hot dog. It snapped as I ate it. I approve. The corn dog was indeed hot, and when it cooled a bit I squirted some ketchup on it, and took a bite. A big dog wrapped in a good amount of batter. It was not some skinny little thing wrapped in a loaf of bread that I’ve gotten elsewhere. All in all this place is a definite OK on the Scott meter. It’s a tad pricey, but the dogs are definitely good. I may or may not be back. But, I’m glad I tried it.

I’ve been to several Cupid’s Hot Dogs and they weren’t anything special because their standard hot dogs consist of chili and mustard, but this Cupid’s is much different. They have a lot more variety of hot dogs with much more ingredients. You’re able to customize your own hot dogs. Suggestions: Downtown LA Dog — bacon-wrapped hot dog w/jalapenos, mayo, ketchup, and mustard. AMAZING Pastrami Dog — Pastrami + hot dog = delicious Philly Cheese steak dogs = just like philly cheese steak w/melted cheesewizz. Pretty dang good. The Chili here tastes much cleaner than other places because it’s not as greasy. The seating is limited but there is plenty of free parking.

Hoooly crap. Cupids on steroids. Whoever thought that Cupids would finally start updating their already awesome dogs? Not THIS guy. Philly Cheese Steak Dogs — with CHEEZEWIZ!!! just like in Philly! OMNOMNOM… it was pretty damn good I must say L.A. Street Dogs — Now here’s a novel idea. Take the second most important Los Angeles staple food(second to taco trucks) and bring it to Canyon Country, where there are almost no bars or clubs. BACONWRAPPEDHOTDOGS with the FIXINS. RAWWWRCHOMP! Bacon-Wrapped Chili Cheese Dogs — Didn’t try this one, but we all know Cupids chili has got to be good. Throw a nice slab of sizzlin’ bacon on there and you got a winner. New management apparently. That explains the previous review a bit. The dude behind the counter is super chill and laid back and explained all the new things he was thinking about… which led to me trying the first two listed above. I’m lucky to have caught it. Standing in line for the movie theaters suck, but this helped to make it a lot better. Coming back soon!
