La Bamba Mexican Bar & Grill

This was our first time to try La Bamba… stopped in for a take out menu and ordered Nacho’s Supreme and a Taco Salad. We couldn’t finish it… the worst Mexican food in a long time! Ripped up the menu as we will never eat anything from there again. How hard could this be? My Taco Salad had absolutely no flavor… NONE and the Nacho’s we horrible. Limp and again no flavor. Threw them both out after 3 bites. Don’t waste your time or your money. So disappointed.

I am beyond words!!! GROSS! My wife and I have been eating at this restaurant for two years and have always enjoyed it, until tonight. We were served salsa that had soggy tortilla chips in it… that tells me one thing… they are taking left over salsa from previous patrons and RE-​Serving it to customers!!! When I brought it to the attention of the staff, they had the «deer in the headlights look»! Busted!!! This is the first time I’ve ever left a review on here, but I ‘m very disgusted!!!

Food is really good but bar service is TERRIBLE! Since there is no «bartender» per se, it seems it is the manager or a servers responsibility to get drinks. We most often get the manager, who seems as if he cannot be bothered in ANY way. The margarita’s are pre-​made and sitting out in plastic bins-​warm. If you ask for a fresh margarita, (meaning made to order– you are made to feel as if you are completely bothering him. If you order a Dos Equis, you are never given a lime. If you dare to ask, again-​you are made to feel like it is a complete bother.
We live in the neighborhood that is directly across from this location. So, because of convenience, we do order take out once weekly and have a couple of drinks while waiting on food. It seems as if there are never very many patrons in the restaurant itself at any given time. They do karaōke on Friday nights and that has even seemed to dwindle drastically.
Our final straw was last night. Ordered take out at the bar. Manager was taking care of us. Ordered Dos Equis. No lime. Asked for one, and was given look of utter disgust. Had to ask for chips and salsa. (Which normally is given when siting at the bar and having drinks.) Again, made to feel like we were troubling him. I’m sorry, but like I said, we are in here at least once a week for take out, with a bill of $ 40 – 50 and always tip on the bill-​is it that difficult to give a lime and chips? Not to mention, restaurant was almost completely empty as always at 8 pm on a Saturday night.
Take out food arrives w/​bill and he has charged us $ 3.50 for the chips and salsa w/​our to go order which normally is included. Ask about charge and again-​complete look of disgust as charge is removed.
Someone needs to look at who is running this location and some changes need to be made.

I tried three four times the food always too salty beef too tough I never go back anymore

We’ve been twice in the last two weeks. The burrito, quesadilla and rice are delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty. The salsa is good… nice heat. The service is attentive not intrusive. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We went on a bingo night~good family fun! We’ll be back.

While visiting friends I the area we decided that we wanted to have a Mexican lunch. We had never been here before but one of our friends recommended it. We were thrilled we can. The salsa and chips were excellent. The lunch menu was large but not that expensive. Everyone in our group raved about the food. One of the best part however was our service. Our server was very attentive to the whole group. And went out of her way to make sure everybody had everything they wanted. If you’re in the area and you want good food and excellent service I recommend this restaurant!

Very nice, relaxing atmosphere. Clean. Waitress was very friendly, thorough and attentive. She checked on us several times. We had to wait a bit for the food, even though it wasn’t that busy, but turned out to be WELL worth it! I had the Cancun Quesadilla and it was out of this world! I was sad when it was gone. Truly one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted!

Very friendly staff and the food was good… Not sitting in a pile or grease like some other Mexican restaurants. Very «Tex Mex» was disappointed not to see many selections beyond the average «American» choices. No tacos al pastor?! Say whaaat?!

Great food. We eat here a lot! Always friendly. Try the Mexican burger! It’s sooo strange to read everything on it and it’s huge, but well worth it. Also fried cheesecake is fabulous! Next time I will try a margarita.

The food was amazing, but it took forever to get anything. Too long of a wait.

Very GOOD place to eat love the Speedy Gonzales. it is the best Mexican cuisine I have eaton in a long time. Very flavorful food much better than I expected.
