Potato Corner

Ah… Potato Corner.
Back when I used to live in Vegas, I’d try to grab a small cup of flavored fries from there whenever I went to Town Square. This was also the first time I’ve ever heard about this chain (apparently it originated in the Philippines!), so it’s cool seeing it on my visit to CA.
They have a lot of different types of potatoes, as the store’s name suggests. Regular cut, loopy, waffle-​cut, BAKED POTATO?! So many options! Don’t get me started on the different flavor options. If you’re indecisive like me, your head will explode from all the choices.
Here are some suggestions (and my favorite combinations) to help you out:
Loopy + Cheddar
Regular + Sour Cream & Onion
Tater tots + BBQ
Waffle-​cut* + Cinnamon & Sugar
Baked potato w/​all the fixings
*I’m pretty sure the waffle-​cut fries are only available as sweet potato.
Don’t get the wings or tenders. They’re not good and the ranch they provide with it is watery af. Just stick to the potatoes. Go ahead, carb it up.

I was here for a little snack whilst shopping and it took no time for us to order. Giving this place 3 stars is being generous, but I took the «being in a mall» part into consideration. I ordered the regular cut fries that were chili BBQ flavored mixed with regular potato fries. It wasn’t until after I ordered when I realized that they had a shortage of the fries. They were a little busy because it was the weekend and many people just wanted a little snack just like me.
The employees seemed to start to panic a little bit because there were so many customers waiting for their fries. It seemed like they had to keep throwing fries into the oven over and over to at least get two orders of fries ready. We waited for over 30 – 45 minutes for FRIES. I noticed that they were taking the fries out of the oven a few seconds early just to give them out faster, just to have to hurry up and make more because the batch would run out within two orders of fries. I noticed that people were complaining and getting upset at the fact that they were taking so long.
When we finally got our fries, our order was wrong. We ordered a mix of the two flavors, not just one. The amount of fries in the biggest size was good for how much we paid, it filled me and three kids up. The flavor was great, it was just all that was going on and how long we had to wait that brought my review down.

Probably the slowest potato corner I’ve ever been in. I just ordered a size jumbo (small) and yet it took like 20 minutes to get. Don’t get me wrong, the fries here are so good but the wait is just too much. I don’t think I’ll ever come back here again.

Literally was waiting in line 3 minutes to 7p, no one behind me. The guy at the register posted up the «We’re Closed» sign — avoiding eye contact with me. Once the lady in front of me received her order, I then proceeded to the register, asking if they ran out of food and that’s why (not realizing the time). Just fyi — there was clearly enough fries there for little ol’ me. But the guy at the register just responded, coldly with a, «No, we’re closed.»
No greeting to start with, and no apology to follow.
I used to work in the restaurant biz, so I get it after a long day we all want just want to clean up and go home. But at least have the courtesy of acknowledging a customer and providing proper etiquette from one human being to another. A simple apology with better demeanor could’ve sufficed.
Customer service here? Non-​existent.

Food is pretty good everyone there is pretty hot. Only downside is manager kept trying to flirt with me :/​Ask for Gabby she’s some serious eye candy ;) BBQ and Sour cream onion mix is the bomb shizzle

This place is located inside Topanga Mall which is close to the food court. I come here atleast once in a while to satisfy my cravings. When I was a kid I would always ask my mom to buy me some when we were in the Philippines. Anyway, updated my review based on their food & service. First of, the fries are addicting. I only come here for the fries, chicken wings and tenders are mediocre. Next, the service, I feel like everytime I come here the employees are always having a bad day, nobody even smile or mostly are distracted by other things while taking your order. Last is the price, about $ 8 for a Giga sized fries? Seriously? Its like $ 3 for a large fries for a fast food chain so the powder costs $ 5? Lol sometimes they wouldnt even make the bowl full like they would but a paper at the bottom and when you shake it, it was only halfway full. I dont want this place to close down but the management has to do something about it because I would think that they spent alot of money to franchise this all the way from the Philippines.

Avoid the chicken tenders. It taste like Burger King. Get the mix regular fries (Sour Cream & Chili BBQ/​Regular BBQ) Best mix. I am addicted and almost always come back!
Price is pretty high for just fries when they are easily seasoned. Service is fine.

It’s a small kiosk chain inside malls, so I never put my hopes high. But they never disappointed me. Freshly fried upon ordering & different flavors which u can mix ‘n match. Crispy, crunchy, tasty & flavorful. And their servers are always friendly, nice job hiring the right people.
I know it’s not healthy, like any other fast is! My only concern is if they change oil regularly or not. But I’ll keep coming back for those Sour cream & onion + bbq tater tots. Yes, you can mix ‘n match multiple flavors, just ask!

This is a brilliant idea! Most everyone loves fries and baked potatoes in less that 10 minutes is brilliant! I was greeted with friendly service and was offered a sample. I got the baked potato with everything and it’s delicious!

Don’t buy here. You don’t get much what you pay for. I’m so mad their food are expensive and they don’t fill it all the way! If only I can give a 0 star I would! I won’t but here anymore! Plus their chicken wings are so small and salty! DON’T BUY HERE!!!

Fresh and fast cheddar fries always makes a delish snack! Go for mega size, not much more in price. Good serving size. My boys enjoy this treat and the flavoring that sticks on your fingers forever! Eat up!

Every bit of the chili bbq original fries is addicting and YUMMYYY… Their flavor of mix is to die for!
Although don’t order it if you dislike spicy.
Price: That’s a little too steep for fries.
Service: Nah! Not good. They really need to be more friendly.
Quality: These fries are frozen so that couldn’t be healthy. Also they don’t wear gloves which is unhygienic. Also if they aren’t had instantly then they taste too bad. So to go isn’t a option. The other time I got my fries the guy added very little flavor mix.
Service and quality needs to be improved for the price they charge. Although its a must try!

Love this place. Hate the fact that the employees don’t wear gloves and they’re handling money and then my food. That has to be some kind of health code violation.

My husband and I were here yesterday because of my french fries/​tater tots craving. I had ordered the cheddar tater tots and my husband Ordered the plain sweet potato fries. I wasn’t too crazy about the tater tots, but my hsband loved the sweet potato fries. My tater tots tasted kind of old which probably led me to giving this place 3 stars. Maybe I will give this place another try with their flavored fries, but I felt like I could have had good curly fries from jack and the box and I would have been more satisfied.

I wasn’t impressed. Then again, with a name like Potato Corner, should I be? This wasn’t a «corner» as much as a glorified fries and lemonade stand near the food court. The fries are touted as the best in the world – an elusive claim based on what I had. The gimmick here is that curly fries may be spiced and garnished with various ingredients. All of them sound gross and full of crap. My lemonade was ok, but for $ 3, I don’t expect a 50%-50% ice to lemonade ratio.

I love going to potato corner unfortunately for this branch employees need to learn proper customer service… I was standing in front of the register waiting for somebody to take my order and they were just staring like I don’t exist. I requested for extra mix due to past experience I was getting my fries with not enough mix and still the same. If I wanted a regular no flavor fries I would’ve gone to in and out rather than driving all the way here. Employees are not so friendly and it’s sad because Filipino people are known to be friendly but not this ones.

Flavored french fries. Should I even say more? I’ve tried all of the flavors and they all rock. Choose from regular or curly fries, or get their tater tots. Portion sizes are decent. Their smallest size makes for a pretty decent small meal; I was totally full after consuming the entire portion on my own.
They’re located upstairs right by the food court. They’ve got a couple small tables set up but you usually can’t find a place to sit if it’s a weekend. But ’tis ok. Fries can be consumed and enjoyed on the go.

My kind of place when the small size serving is called «Jumbo». Medium is of course Mega and Giga is for large. Variety of spud in the form of fries (curly, straight, and waffle), chips, baked, or my favorite… tater tots! They also have sweet potato, chili cheese, and chicken tenders.
Sour cream & onion flavor was delicious. BBQ, cheddar, garlic parmesan and chili BBQ are other options that I remember. Hard to resist getting a side of potato anything with a meal at the food court.

Fatty Fat Faaaat!!!
It all just tastes so good and you will finish everything they give you because you will not be able to stop yourself. So much flavor and tater tots are like a nostalgic weakness of mine.
This spot makes for a great little mid-​shopping snack.
Their staff is a bit spacey, they had a hard time understanding English because maybe they weren’t sober-​? I don’t know… I’d ask for sauce and get blank stares like I’m speaking a language they’ve never heard– and with the SAUCES they were so stingy. They definitely need to change that!
Still just eating this stuff is orgasmic! Try it ! Not on a week you’re dieting though lol
