Love this place! We went when they first opened — insanely delicious (caloric and not the healthiest-​but a good treat) cheddar fries appetizer with happy hour cocktails! The «outdoor» mall seating is very pleasant and fun for sports. The bartender was exceptionally friendly and greeted us. Food was delicious– definitely try the chicken tortilla soup with avocado! The quality was great– I’m going to have to follow up again soon! I hope they are still doing as great as when they opened! Bravo.

My girlfriends and I went to the new Islands at the Topanga Canyon mall for dinner.
We had a great time! The food was excellent – tacos, burgers, mai tai cocktails, and dessert.
The service was the best! Our waiter was So nice, helpful, & knowledgable of the menu.
We loved islands ambience with the surfing theme – surfers on the video screens, as well as the sports channel. When we weren’t talking there was plenty to watch – the restaurant is open to the mall – so it is great for people watching and looking at store window displays.
We were so stuffed when we left and happy! So, we walked the mall to get some of the pounds off.

I am so glad they added Islands to the Topanga mall! I like this location compared to the last and so far I have been there twice. Overall good quality and great tasting burgers. The staff here is wonderful!

I have been to a lot of Islands locations over the years. I have never met so many happy, friendly and knowledgable employees in one location!
Whoever is doing the hiring/​training for this location is doing an amazing job!
Also worth mentioning, is the outside bar. Super cool to have a beer and some lunch in the middle of the mall between shopping.

My daughter and I were doing a day of shopping and decided to stop at the new Islands for lunch. We occasionally frequented the Islands that closed at Mulholland. I happen to be a fan of their fish tacos so we stopped in. Upfront I will say that the food is not necessarily five star… It’s good but not awesome although very consistent.
The reason I gave this restaurant five stars is because the staff is so friendly and at least gives the impression that they are happy to be at work (rare these days). Such a warm welcome from our hostess Sheena made you want to hug her. Our server Kurt was equally engaging and got our order perfect the 1st time. He took the time to check in — refill drinks etc. I’m hoping the manager of this location realizes how hard it is to find individuals who will represent your business in such a positive light. Great job Islands Topanga. We’ll be back!

First time here and loving it! Great service (hostesses, servers and bussers) with smiles all around. Amazing spicy chicken nachos and killer bottomless fries on top of my yummy Pipeline (Chili) Burger made me fall in love. Yes I recommend! BTW our server Andrew really took care of us :)

If you have not tried their Piña Coladas, you should. Super delicious and it goes well with anything.
