I would give 4 stars for the great tasting gelato but the manager of the store has been rude on more than one occasion so for that I took a couple stars off. I had a screaming baby in the stroller and a toddler anxious for ice cream and he made us wait while he chatted with co-workers and completely ignored us and when I mentioned we were waiting, he told us to wait. Meanwhile my baby is choking from crying so hard. He then was RUDE while serving us, also questioning my request for a lid, and talking down to me. It’s the third time he’s been either unfriendly, indifferent or purposely rude. Time to go buddy. bye bye and find something else that gives to joy because this isn’t it. Besides that, the ice cream is good.

Their paninis are awesome! Here is my issue: I’m trying to order food for someone who has never been to melt. So I’m on the phone explaining what’s on the menu that looked good.(I’m not standing in line) the woman at the cashier keeps asking if I’m ready while I’m on the phone & I kept telling her no I’m talking on the phone. She stood there giving me the dirtiest looks as if I was wasting her time. Go do something productive since I told you I wasn’t ready, no need to keep asking me & giving me dirty looks. Finally, I get off the phone I let her know what I want and after making it she’s too lazy to even close the lid to give back to me & just gives me my order with the lid open. If you’re too miserable to give good customer service then sit your ass at home.

I decided to try the crime brûlée gelato. A single scoop was $ 3.75. The flavor was out of this world. It was sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth but not too sweet to make throw away half of it away. The gentlemen who attended me was very nice and even gave me a sample. Worth every penny

I haven’t been to the Topanga Mall in some time, but this quaint kiosk is located in the food court, along with tons of other food options! Needed something sweet so this was the obvious choice with little ones. The guys behind the counter were friendly and allowed the kids to have tastes of whichever flavor a they wanted. I went with the Espresso Chip gelato and the kids got Swiss Chocolate. The gelato was creamy and really tasty. The portion size of a single scoop was definitely enough for my kids, aged between 5 – 11. We sat at a food court table which was near the kiosk. Although the food court itself isn’t being reviewed here, I must admit there was a guy going Round doing a fine job keeping tables clean and clear for patrons. The gelato place had regular cones and waffle cones, as well as just cups. Great little place to refuel.

Just ok. Their gelato was very icy for some reason. I don’t remember it being that way in the past, but I had 2 flavors and they were both very icy. The ice overtook the creamy deliciousness that gelato should taste like. Disappointing to waste the calories like that. If I was an A* hole I would have returned it. Live and learn. There are lots of options in the mall. If you’re desperate for gelato go to melt. Otherwise, coffee bean is around the corner and there’s a good yogurt spot downstairs.

Okay. The gelato here is pretty good, but really, I think it could be better. I always get the raspberry sorbet, cause it’s really good, but let’s talk about the lemon one. There’s like only one word to loterally describe it: Sour. Sour. Sour. Sour. Sour. Ughhhh…Whoever made it, it’s like frozen lemon juice!!! It’s just soooo soooour. Tone it down, please! I ended up drinking 3 cups of water after that. Overall, the gelato is pretty good. Prices are maybe a little tiny bit pricey, but it’s pretty good. I usually come here when I go to the mall. Good gelato, just PLEASE fix the lemon!!!

10mins before closing, they said they were not taking crêpe orders anymore, only gelato. 5mins after I asked, I saw the crêpe station making one. If they don’t want my business, I will never even give them a second look the next time I’m at Topanga mall.

I had a major craving for crêpe and got there 10 minutes before they close, but they wouldn’t serve me. I was extremely disappointed. I understand that it was late, but technically they were still open.

While I really do love gelato, Melt would have to be one of my least favorite. The gelato is super soft, half melted really and you have to eat it quickly. Great selection of flavors, I went with the caramel pistachio and while it was tasty I just can’t get over the slimy consistency, just not my thing. Service was ok, not stellar. The place is nice, clean and well kept. Prices are a bit high for the portion size you get, I would go with two scoops next time. Will do if I am in the area and in the need for something sweet, but I would not go out of my way to come back.

Tried the mascarpone pistachio something lol and the very delicious tropical coconut flavor. MmmmmmmmMmmm. Two scoops for $ 5.50 may be a tiny bit over priced but it’s gelato not«regular ice cream» I preferred the tropical flavor over the sweeter one, but that’s just me. I think I counted about 15 different flavors

The girl who was the cashier was fairly nice but her fellow coworker who was making the crepes tonight rushed through and put holes in it. When we noticed and pointed out his error, he advised it’s because the spreading stick was«new» and that it caused holes. No, that’s not why it causes holes, it’s because you’re impatient and want to rush everyone out. Which yes, I understand it’s the end of the day, you’re over it but I’m watching you rush through it & give no consideration about what a customer would want. After the complaint, he still gave the excuse and offered to remake it only to put a hole in it again. All and all, whatever it’s a mall gelato place that makes crepes, shouldn’t expect much any way. But yes, I was annoyed enough to write a review on the spot. Assuming all the other complaints are about the same guy that made them tonight. Cheers to his girl coworker though, at least she did her job.

It’s so sad! My wife and I had such a craving for crepes that we researched a spot specializing in them, and drove to Melt’s in great anticipation. Being that it was our first time here we wanted to take a moment to see all of our choices available from their menu of around 13 or 14 crepes. Unfortunately, it seemed as if one of the associates working on this day was in a bad mood, because his patience in letting us decide what we wanted was completely absent. We weren’t there for 4 – 5 minutes before he had asked us 3 times if we ready(mind you, that there was nobody else waiting to be served). It wasn’t the polite kind of inquiry people desire of good customer service, but a completely smug and pompous attitude. When my wife began to ask if she could simply have Carmel drizzled over her bacon, egg, and cheese crêpe(kind of strange, I know), he simply cut her off and said they don’t do that. We’d «have to buy one sweet and one hot» crêpe separately. The fact that he didn’t even listen to her question was the most frustrating part. We couldn’t stay to order anything after that service. We kindly said that we’d rather not, and walked away. While they may have wonderful crepes, Alex/Alec was a horrible example of the company’s value on customer service. His ego is a little too big for what might be a great kiosk in the mall.

Gelato is always a great treat and in this case, your craving is satisfied. They have a variety of great options to choose from ranging from a great raspberry sorbet to some great mouth watering mint and lemon flavors. My favorite is indeed the raspberry sorbet as it has the right balance of sweet and tart. Service is great as the staff will take care of you.

I have never been so humiliated in my life! They kept saying my credit card was declined and my debit card. When I had money in it and after being humiliated in front of every one in line they tell me that their computers don’t really work good anymore when sliding cards on the scanner… if they know that why must they find the need to humiliate their customers. and why not replace the system? Held up the line 30 min by the time it was resolved my ice cream was melted I wanted to cry … after this insident I will never go back again

Oy. This place. It’s hard enough being served by teenagers in any establishment. Give them ice cream(or gelato, sorry) and all freaking hell breaks loose. «Hai, can I help you?» translates really to them mentally thinking«uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh… uhhhh… derp» For example, I placed an order with one of the kids, then he actually went to make the damned smoothie. Then while I was waiting, he asked me, «is this yours?» Well, yes Captain Amazing, it is mine. I interacted only with you this entire time. I’m just kidding. All of this is true, but it’s just a damned ice cream stand with kids working at it. Who cares. You’ll see them mouthing Drake lyrics to themselves later on anyway. If that isn’t some Officer Doofy shit then I don’t know what is. Oh and for an actual review of the product. The smoothie I ordered tasted fine and I’d order again if forced to.

It’s gelato and crepes in a stand at the mall so adjust expectations accordingly(Even if this particular mall does have a Lamborghini dealership). The gelato doesn’t have the rich smoothness you usually expect from gelato, it’s much more of an ice cream consistency and I don’t know if it was just the one I tried, but it seemed a bit icy, like it had partially melted and refrozen at some point . The crepes however are alright, they have that perfect amount of chew and the nutella I got on it was just the right amount, it didn’t overload the crêpe at all. 3 stars for convenience while at the mall, and I’ll probably be back, but it’s not worth a special trip if you’re not already there test driving a Lamborghini.

For a place at the mall, it’s really not bad. Ordering is a little confusing… were greeted at one counter, then led to a different counter, paid somewhere else, circled the entire place figuring out where to pick up our food. Still not sure what to do. Our crêpe was fresh and soft and chewy and delicious. The gelato was kind of icy, though. I think the definition of a 3-star review is not having much to say.

This place is close by… so it often suffices for gelato… however, if you’re looking for really good gelato… trek down to Studio City’s «Gelato Bar» or trek up to Thousand Oak’s «Paciugo». I do have to admit, the pistachio is pretty good… and will suffice for my gelato cravings… or definitely the white chocolate raspberry. I think this is what most closely tastes like my favorite, Fior de Latte from the gelateria in Old Town Pasadena. My mouth is watering just thinking about it… yum! Also, this place is pretty inexpensive as far as gelato places go… Anyway, it’s a chain… it’s close by… and in the mall… so it’s easy access. I don’t know…
