Carl’s Jr

Been here several times. Over the years, they do chicken well, but burgers… not so much. The burgers always have that heated up from the freezer taste. Today I had the new California burger, similar to that of the animal style double double at In-​N-​Out. It was awful. The «grilled onions» were soggy with an odd taste, the lettuce was limp without that iceberg lettuce crunch and taste. The only good part was the cheese and spread was okay. The bun was super airy and fell apart, leaving the contents to slide everywhere-​going right along with their slogan, «if it doesn’t get all over the place, it doesn’t belong in your face!»
I really like their chicken items, except the strips. They are consistently overlooked and salty. Otherwise, fries, shakes, breakfast, chicken sandwiches are all safe bets. I don’t recommend the zucchini bites, they have an oily and sour taste to them.
Burgers recommended: big Carl, guac & bacon 6 dollar, and the teriyaki burger. Most burgers are good in general, except the new California.
The establishment is usually clean, sometimes trash is a little full and should be taken out sooner than it has been. Staff is friendly and helpful. 24 hour drive thru is a plus and the location is easy to get into with driveways on both sides. 3 stars of 5 overall.

The parking is fair, the service is fair, but the food is so-​so. Had a regular cheeseburger meal with fries and a medium drink. The fries were a little dry for my taste and the burger’s meat was bland. The lettuce and tomato were nice and cold and crisp. I’ve had their little ice cream desserts… It reminds me of the self serve ice cream at a buffet.

Wow I had the same sh*tty experiences as most other reviewers with the food here.
One thing that happened to me EXACTLY like another reviewer, I was not given my debit card back and later found out it had been used on three large online purchases and I had it immediate cancelled and charges reversed. Crooks and low lives that work here. Shame on you!!!

So I just got a breakfast Berger combo. I wanted 2 honey mustards for my fries and Berger. The Latina lady said I can only have one. I got so mad now my food is tasteless. Taco Bell across the street here I come!

We are a construction company and we were working in Canoga park so we went to this Carl’s jr.
After placing an order for 12 people we ask for sauce the STORE MANAGER said they don’t have it but when he left we asked one of the workers and she got it for us. I don’t understand what this people’s problem is. We will be working in that area for until 08-​20-​2015 and we are not going there again.

The food here is standard Carl’s Jr fare. If you like CJ, you’ll like this one. The drive through set up is a bit old school, but always moves speedily. They are always very friendly with a cheerful smile at the drive-​thru window, so that’s cool.

Mile high burger is not what it was advertised as. Horrible customer service at drive thru where I could not understand what he was saying. I said I wouldn’t come back to this one. I regret giving this location another chance.

Its decent not a great location but ok service at some point so eh if i were to chose a smelly place or this carls i would be undecided so i give it a 3 for a so so for my honest opinion.

New BBQ Texas burger is legit!!! It was dead but the service was slow. Got medium crosscut fries which was filled to less than medium. The cashier was at least friendly & apologized for the delay. Average overall for today.

Worst experience at a fast food place ever.
We never received our credit card and forgot in 15 minutes it took to get our food. From there we drove straight home and realized this morning we didn’t have our card. Turns out our card had been used twice, so we cancelled our card and called the carls Jr as a courtesy to let them know. Once we finally got through to the manager Ricardo and let him know, he became very confrontational and defensive, but without our asking told us the full name of one of the employees working that night.
Needless to say a terrible experience at the worst carls jr I’ve ever been to.

One of the cleanest fast food restaurant in the valley, their service is really good. In other words, this is my favorite carles jr.

Got there and no one was at the register. One lady was cleaning tables another wiped the counter and a guy was walking around in back. Waited for 5 mins as they kept glancing at us. Finally got to place our order. Took nearly 20 min, assumed it would be fresh but everything came out cold. The order wasn’t even complete. Aside from that, felt I needed to watch my back

Avoid this Carl’s Jr at all costs. It is very near my house, so I have gone through the drive-​thru a lot. I can’t remember one time that they actually got my order right. Missing items, forget to give you straws, forget to give you napkins, wrong items in the bag, etc. I will NEVER eat there again!

Drive-​thru, easy way to pick up food when you only get 30 minutes for lunch. Can’t go wrong with burgers here. Burgers are grilled. You can taste it. Can’t go wrong with fries, fried zucchini, and onion rings. I didn’t care for the sweet potato fries! Haven’t been the restaurant since they remodeled.

This was a Carl’s Jr that I used to come to a lot when I was a kid. I still have fond memories of walking here with friends and getting famous stars. My how things have changed.
After a few very poor experiences at the drive-​thru I had told myself I would not return here. Well as it so happens on this particular day I was starving and needed to get something asap before going to work and I made an exception. Big. Mistake.
Let me just paraphrase the whole thing by saying: they gave me a burger… WITHOUT THE BURGER. They literally forgot to put the meat patty in it. There was no confusion, no fancy order, nothing. Just a simple order for a Famous Star, and they forgot the most important item.
Unfortunately I didn’t know (how could I) until I drove all the way home and I opened the burger to put some ketchup in it. I was in disbelief. I started to take apart the tomatoes, lettuce, and onions because surely… it must be in there right? Nope.
I got very upset. I was starving and actually contemplated eating it but I could not let this stand. I drove back in a range thinking that I was going to cause a scene, but through some miracle I ended up being very calm and collected.
I would up going to the counter, opened up the burger and simply said… you forgot something. I couldn’t help but start to laugh. I think my laughing actually might have scared them since it was a reaction I don’t think many would expect. Plus I bet my laugh was kind of bordering on the insane/​creepy side since I was in a state of profound fascination at the whole situation.
Well I have to say it one more time to myself: never again.

And for my 200 review what a experience is better than this… After a long night of drinking and been irresponsible, I decided to start driving home and right before I got home I saw a big Yellow and red star flashing at me, so I said to myself… «a quick stop for a six dollar burger to sober up sounds nice at 3:45am» So next thing I remember I’m ordering a six dollar burger with criss cut fries with a large coke; there is like four cars ahead of me, it felt like was taking forever, but I think it was it was just me been tired, I rested my head in the steering wheel while I waited and BAMMM!!! I passed out?!! Because my next memory of that night is a nice lady knocking at my window, trying to wake me up «Excuse me Sr. are you ok?» She said. At that point I realize I had drink too much and I shouldn’t been behind the wheel. Then she asked «Sr. Do you still want your order, it’s cold but we can make you a fresh, We’re about to close but you are in the drive thru and We just want to make sure you are ok» What a outstanding service! She took the time to come outside and check on the guy who passed out in the drive thru, and still offered to make me a fresh meal after who knows how long they waited and decided to go to knock on my window. I came back the next day and to find out who was working that night to thank them for what they did. I ended up walking home since this place is like two blocks from my house. Remember people don’t drink and drive, Thank you to the night staff from this location for the outstanding customer service that night.

I like Carl’s but this location Is pretty bad. The inside was freezing on a rainy day. It took forever before someone took our order and then took even longer to get our food. Since it took so long we figured it would be hot and fresh… wrong. Fries were room temp and chicken fingers were not fresh tasting. I will say that the staff was friendly but just too slow. Also the seating area looked unclean

turkey burger is good, if u have to get a turkey burger get it here.

I got hooked on sunrise crossiants here. then they got too sweet for me. Love the burgers. six dollar avocado. mmm.
