So many unique flavors and the nicest staff here. I love any place that welcomes me to try as many samples as I like! Balsamic vinegars on one side and olive oils on the other. Bread and cheese cubes(four types of Gouda when I was there… love the herb one!) for sampling in the middle, as well as tiny spoons for non bread eaters. Many fruity flavors for the vinegars, most a little too strong/sweet for my liking, but the hickory one is amazing! I enjoyed most of the savory oils, especially the truffle, garlic, and habanero. There are little bowls already set out to sample each flavor yourself, unlike similar places where you have to ask staff to our each sample you want to try. Staff is great about reminding people to use a clean toothpick every time, even with the kids. High quality stuff here with great descriptions for each item, very knowledgable staff. One of my favorite shops in Cannon Beach!

George is an awesome host. He welcomes you with his ‘super inviting friendly and calm demeanor’. Quote from my husband. My family and I were so intrigued that we had to stop in. George explained the system — toothpicks and bread or little spoons are used to dip in about 40(?) vinegars and oils. ‘A gazillion’ according to my husband. Never double dip! And a little cup is provided for used ‘utensils’. George explained the infused oils and vinegars are stirred for hours so flavors do not settle to the bottom and bottles do not have to be shaken(shook? — should have paid more attention in English class!). We brought home the lemon vinegar and scallion oil and some cheese for $ 50. So thick and delicious. We ate them with a round loaf of sour dough bread from the EVOO cooking school. Going here is actually an event and our 15 year old daughter loved it. We will be back.

My two favorite businesses in the overpriced beach town that Cannon Beach has become are The Oil & Vinegar Bar and Primary Elements Gallery. I’m a sucker for EVOOs and vinegars and could never be disappointed here. Most of the 12.7 fl oz bottles(nice mid-size) are $ 20. Easy to drop $ 100 here in 15 minutes. Really enjoy the Traditional Dark Balsamic and the flavored vinegars are used on salads, in cooking, and just as often in carbonated water drinks. YUMMY!

Think wine tasting bar… great selection, the staff is super knowledgeable and the oil and vinegars are top quality. I bought a vinegar I already used today! I also came home with two different olive oils I am excited to use when I’m home. The sampling is key to trying new things. I can’t forget to mention the owners make and bottle all the products. I think they put a little love in every bottle.

This is a «can’t miss» spot for Cannon Beach. Love that they have everything out for you to sample before buying. I am a long time fan of their products, and make a trip there every time I’m in CB. Great product!

Never in my life did I think I would spend almost $ 100 on olive oils and vinegars until I walked into this place. All I have to say is that the owner of this store is a genius. It starts outside — you walk past the tiny little shop and think to yourself«How on earth does a place like this survive? Selling only oils and vinegars?», so then out of curiosity you HAVE to go in and check it out. The kind older man working there welcomes you and invites you to taste the products, there are tiny little squares of fresh bread and toothpicks for you to taste each oil and vinegar. GAMEOVER It was amazing and each oil/vinegar was more delicious than the next. Beautiful flavors that are neither artificial tasting or too overpowering. I tried the garlic olive oil and immediately started fantasizing about the delicious meals I could cook with it. The shop was filled with the sounds of «Oh my God, this is amazing» as people frantically grabbed more bottles than necessary and brought them to the front counter so they could go back and carry more. And that’s how I spent close to $ 100 on oils and vinegars. Totally worth it, by the way.

Taking a side street to the beach and voila. Here’s this little shop with flavored olive oils and basaltic vinegars. I am curious to check this out. Inside there is a table in the middle of the floor with bread crumbs and toothpicks. Olive oil lines one wall and basaltic vinegar lines the other. The flavors range from natural, basic to garlic, fruity or even spicy. Use your bread on a stick to taste and mix and match flavors. Great for appetizers, on a salad or for cooking. What a novel concept.

I enjoyed the dog they had in there, super friendly! It was rapt nice to have such amazing service too. Any other oil and vinegar place they’re focused on sales, this gentleman wanted to make sure I tried everything and got exactly what I wanted.

Simply put this place was awesome. –You can order their oils online –They have amazing flavors –You can mix oil and vinegars together to get amazing flavors. The prices were between 11 – 22 from cheeses to the most expensive oils. They are made in Cali and shipped and bottled on location. While I personally think that $ 22 for oil is ridiculous, I tasted it and changed my mind. You want quality cooking oils and vinegars, go here or order online. You don’t need to go anywhere else.

Forget lunch and stop in to Oil & Vinegar for the most fun(for your tastebuds) sampling of olive oil & balsamic! And of course, take a bottle or two of it home to family and friends! The unique infused flavors will excite your tastebuds and make you wonder why there aren’t more places like this in the world! My favorite balsamic flavors: Hickory Cucumber melon Huckleberry My favorite olive oil flavors: Chile garlic Rosemary Basil Vanilla I bought my mom a bottle of Rosemary olive oil which I know she will love for cooking & salads! Once you’ve selected which bottle(s) to bring home, ask the friendly sales staff for any relevant recipe cards. They are addition to any bottles you plan to gift. I was also told their website has a ton of awesome recipes to incorporate their amazing infused oils and balsamic! They also have a small selection of salt rubs and extra virgin olive oils that are also infused.

Probably the best oils and vinegars I ever had. Too bad I’m currently a student or I would have bought the entire store. Very friendly owner too and helpful!

I’m conflicted. I love this place; I love the enthusiasm of the owner and the flavors of the olive oils and balsamic vinegars that have been infused with dynamite flavors. It took me a while to get there but it was like a candy store to me being a slave to my tongue. I found quite a few oils I fell in love with and hustled them home and like a sweet torturer I had visons of things to do to them. The only hesitation that I have that gave this review 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that after I got home, with my bounty of oils and vinegars, I noticed that a few of the oils leave a funny after taste. It’s rather bitter and I am disappointed because I probably won’t use them due to this. I looked it up and it is possible that the oils used are ones that are less quality and so they are infused to find a market for them. I have no problem with this, just that I won’t be back to buy oils that I won’t use.

I’m Italian so I love my olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Stumbled upon the shop, saw free tastings, so we went in. The gentleman working was very welcoming, told us to sample as much as we want, told us about his oils. All of them were delicious. Couldn’t decide. Ended up buying the garlic infused. Also learned the mans name, the owner, is named Peter as well! And to top it off, we had the same business card design! Ha. Hilarious. Will definitely return.

What a lovely experience. The owner was very friendly and informative. I think that all business owners should take a lesson from him. Within seconds I knew that we would become solid customers. The products are all amazing, you can taste everyone of them on premises. His products are made for him in California, and then shipped up for him to bottle. They taste amazing! I had to buy the basil olive oil, and the scallion olive oil. I find them both difficult to infuse at home. His were spot on. The olive oil is rich and silky! My husband cannot tolerate vinegar of any kind, after some prodding to try the Huckleberry Balsamic he had a bottle in his hand to buy right away. The owner gave us some tasty tips for using it. Reorder off of their website if you are from out of town like us. This place is a must visit little shop.

Excellent stock, knowledgeable staff. Try the huckleberry. We really enjoyed the time spent here and the food enjoyed. I would totally suggest it to anyone who was in the area. If you doubt me, I’d have to say that’s your loss. I’ll be back!

Wow what a unique store!!! I really loved the various olive oils. My favorite was the basil infused olive oil and I was thinking of all the amazing dishes I could make with all of these gourmet oils. Very high quality. They also sell vinegars of all kinds. If you are going to Cannon Beach you have got to visit this store. The only suggestion I would make is that the person in the store could definitely be more friendly to customers. Wish I had this store in my town.

This place is awesome and located next to Insomnia Coffee. You can sample a large selection of oils and vinegars with tiny cubes of bread and each one of them is so freaking good. My favorites were the scallion, garlic and jalapeño.

If you love olive oil then you have GOT to stop in here. If you love balsamic vinegar then you have GOT to stop in here. If you love them both then you ABSOLUTELYMUST stop in here. They’ve got two walls of nothing but olive oil and balsamic vinegars all set up for tasting. They provide bread cubes and toothpicks and you can taste every flavor they have… more than once if you want to. This shop is truly amazing and after stopping in we bought the blood orange infused olive oil and the huckleberry balsamic vinegar… they are AMAZING! Seriously, stop in, you’ll be so glad you did!
