Taco Bravo is a nice little Mexican fast food joint that’s a nice alternative if you’re not feeling like going to Taco Bell. Like Taco Bell, this place is open until 3AM for all your late night munchie needs. It’s a small place with seats outside and some technically inside, but without a closed door. The menu was very cheap; a bit cheaper than Taco Bell too. I ordered a mild beef burrito without onions for about $ 5. As I took a seat to wait for my order, the cashier called it out the second my tush touched the seat. I was surprised that it was THAT fast, but no waiting for food is always a perk. The burrito was simple and contains beef and shredded cheese. The beef tasted good for the price if not better. I think it might edge out Taco Bell’s beef to be honest. The cheese was nothing special, but the size of the burrito was decent for the price so I let it slide. All in all it was better than I expected and l would come back here again if I ever feel hungry on those late night drives. The super nachos look delicious! They’re next on my list.

Still a great place for some late night munchies. It has seen better days on the outside, but doesn’t matter as long as I get my chili burgers!

Dude if you think this is authentic Mexican food you are too drunk too order. This isn’t authentic Mexican food this is authentic drunk ass gringo food! And you know what, it’s fucking awesome! You may regret it the next day on the toilet but it goes down so so well! And for all you sissy ass hater chipotle lovers that call this place a «hole in the wall» all I can say is count how many times this place has been closed downed compared to chipotle, that nasty fish taco place and others? At least when the employees take a shit here they wash their hands unlike those other nasty ass places, I have hiccups …

I appreciate their super veggie burrito more and more; also their orange sauce is really spicy and tastes homemade – even if it is not, it’s really good.

Honestly, Taco Bravo is a little run down and things are a little sloppy, but I can never get enough of this place. My best friend and I usually come here after record shopping at Rasputin and get a super nachos and a couple of burritos. S*** is the bomb, lemme tell ya, they really load up on toppings, and you get pretty big portions without breaking your wallet. One cashier, his name is Mike, I’m a sucker for him, he’s so funny and really attentive. A++

Do not come here for a first date… you won’t be having a second. The only reason you should be coming here is if you are drunk, or you lost a bet. The food tastes good, but you cant be too sure what you are eating exactly. The good news is you can see them assembling your food right behind the counter. The bad news is you can see them assembling your food right behind the counter. At a place like this, ignorance is bliss. With that said, the portions are very generous. Pricing is above average… comparable to Taco Bell. Service is what you would expect from any fast food joint. Plenty of room for improvement in that department. As much as I want to knock them for the cleanliness, food quality, etc., I’m sure I’ll be back here again someday at 2am.

Horable service, employees do not even have the ability to listen. I rather get service by those that have natual challeneges then those that choose to be challenging. Not only could they not provide the cost difference between a medium and large meal but they also got the entire meal wrong. We will not be returning, after being loyal customers for over 10 years.

Not impressed at all the salsa containers looked disgusting… The meat or not sure if it was actually meat was very salty… Priced way to high… The only thing fresh was the lettuce… Almost $ 7.00 for 2 tacos 1 tostada no drink… I think I need to go to the bathroom… wait there is no bathroom here anyways… The health dept. Closed them down.

I remember this place being way better and way cheaper lol it was still good and definitly better than Taco bell. When did the prices go up so high ?? Its not like its authentic street food. Really $ 7.39 for a super taco delight ??? That better be one hell of a taco lol although I doubt it since its just ground beef. Anyways I will stop ranting cause in the end I’m here and I’m eating it, right ?? LoL

I’ve been a longtime patron of Taco Bravo and have enjoyed every item on this menu since I was 8 and 22 years later I still come back for food that still has the uniqueness it had long ago. Open late and large portions make it great for middle of the night food excursions and prices are perfect for what you order. After 2am the line is out to the street but fun to stand in and listen to everyone talking about their adventure that day. Good place and I recommend it to everyone!

I used to eat here every once in awhile until one day I went and I looked behind the counter and saw cockroaches crawling around on the floor. That was it for me. Never went back and never will. If the health department closed down their bathrooms, I can only imagine how bad their kitchen is. Disgusting. It’s too bad because they have good tacos. Maybe it’s the extra cockroach sauce they put on it?

Buzz/Drunk food… yes. $ 2 Taco Thursday/$ 2 Tostada Tuesday. Double yes. Place is a bit sketch but when you are hungry and want something delicious this is your spot. Get plenty of hot sauce and you will be in business. Tacos are legit and are pretty big… Burritos are the same. Oh, they have a ‘secret menu’ item… The Boneyard.

This is the go to place for my boyfriend and me for late night noms. We come every Tuesday for 99 cent tostadas and every Thursday for 99 cent tacos, and our other favorites include the chili burger(similar to a sloppy Joe but ohhhh so much better), super tostada(a regular tostada with way more toppings), various burritos(combo and bean being our favorites), and super nachos(mini or regular, and always with jalapeños and olive added). There really is something for everyone here. Even my picky 17 year old can get plain nachos and be happy. It’s not authentic Mexican food, but they cook their own beans and meat and fry their own shells which is way better than places like Taco Bell. Also… Be sure to vote in the KFOXSB awards for this place. Nothing else beats it for a late night eat.

Best cheap eats I’ve had in awhile. Definitely NOT fancy or sterile but clean enough(green«passed inspection» sign WAS up in window). The $ 2.09 spicy bean burrito was tasty & filling & the $ 1.79 spicy tostada was yummy!

Greatest location for any Taco Bravo ever. Right next to Der Wienersnitzel. Can grab my Chicago Dog and Taco Burger in one stop. Perfect !!! The food is cheap and actually pretty good. The Taco Salad is awesome. Nice, fresh, fried and tasty tortilla bowl. The mountain of finely shredded cheese is nice touch. Make sure to get hot sauce. Been going here since old midnight runs to Tower Records. Greasy goodness.

This place is my favorite taco shop in the Bay Area so far! Taco shells/chips always taste fresh and crispy. The toppings are generous and the price is fair(for the most part). I just keep coming back over and over. Another bonus is that they are open late and I love coming here at odd times. Employees are all always very friendly also!

I love their nachos and tacos. The cheese is melt in your mouth goodness. It was late(12am) on a Sunday and my boyfriend, sister and brother were in the San Jose area(we live 45min away from San Jose) and we got hungry and came to taco bravo. It was sister and brothers first time here and they loved the super nachos(which all 4 of us shared) and the tacos. The nachos were full of cheesy goodness and so was the tacos. Their cheese literally melted in your mouth. The overall establishment looked iffy, but don’t be fooled the food is good. It may look questionable outside but the staff washed their hands and put on gloves before handling our food and the food came out pretty fast. This place is definitely a better alternative to Taco Bell. I will defiantly be returning when in the area.
