I thought the food was phenomenal but I would avoid this place with a large party. We had 10 people and waited over an hour past our reservation. It’s definitely not good for huge groups — but I’m sure excellent for a date or a 4some. Although I was super tempted to try the egg noodle plate I saw floating around and other people eating, I figured I’d try more of a signature dish, so I got the seafood pasta and substituted it with penne. I thought it was super delicious, flavorful, not too salty. Just right, and microwaved well too, so it was delicious the second time. All in all, go here for a date, not a birthday party!

My husband and I went here Sat Feb 13, for an early Valentines dinner thinking it will be less busy(it was). When we arrived we were seated promptly at 6:45 as he’d made a reservation~ however once we were seated we didn’t have anyone come back to our table until 7:10. The waiter who did come by at that point wasn’t our actual waiter but did take our drink order and promised our waiter would be by shortly. Another 5 – 8 mins passed before we finally met our waiter. He took our order and our food arrived in good time and was pretty good. Seeing as the portion size was quite large I requested to get the rest of my pasta boxed up and once it went to the back I never saw it again as it was forgotten.(and we’d been at the table an extra 10 mins to settle our bill) I understand places are busy with Valentines weekend but the service left a lot to be desired and unfortunately we won’t be returning.

DON’T come here on holidays. Valentine’s Day dinner here sucked. We had to wait for the food to eat in 2 hours. Pasta was undercooked. There weren’t enough waiters and they didn’t come and check our table when the drinks were empty. They got 1 star for the dessert

We went for the first time to A Bellagio for a nice evening out. We arrived and were seated promptly. Unfortunately our waitress was really slow and seemed to serve all the other tables around us multiple times before checking in on us. Our food took over an hour to arrive, there was no apology or explanation even after we mentioned something. She seemed to forget everything that we asked for, and would say she would bring something and then wouldn’t. We were very disappointed with the service we received. Unfortunately, it seems we just had a bad experience. The food was pretty good, but after waiting an hour for it, did not satisfy. Hopefully others will have a better experience than we did.

Came here for their Valentine Day’s menu today and it was mediocre and prosaic at best. Our server, Steve, was nice as he can be, and I felt sorry for him to work on a night when the restaurant’s food was not at its best. We started with their appetizer of which, I had no idea what the heck it was. It had shrimp, scallops, tomatoes and lettuce in some savory, pastry shell, I think, or was it made of hard, baked cheese? I have no idea. Anyway, it was REALLY unimpressive — not a good start to the evening. I didn’t even finish it. Second, they served a spinach, strawberry and fruit salad. It was exactly as it was described, but it was your typical, wedding banquet fare: too simple and boring. My husband even thought that the salad was devoid of any salad dressing.(It was there, but too light to even be noticeable.) I could have made this salad in my own house, but better. We didn’t finish that salad either. Third, they served a trio of pastas: lobster ravioli in a lemon, cream, and wine sauce; gnocchi; and spicy, mushroom pappardelle pasta. All were VERY bland and boring. I thought at least the lobster would have some kick, but the lobster filling didn’t even taste fresh at all. Fourth, we had our main entrees: I had herbed lamb, and my husband had their vegetarian pasta dish. He hated his entrée since it consisted mainly of cheese; it’s your typical vegetarian dish as thought of by a meat eater: just slap a lot of cheese for flavor on it. As for my lamb, it was not what I expected: the description said herbed rub lamb, and what I got was lamb with a lot of sauce poured on top of it. I was hoping for something more simple, but at least it was tasty. To finish the night, we had the most prosaic desserts of all: a hot, chocolate, molten cake. I was hoping that the dessert, at least, would save the night, but it tasted like uncooked cake batter. In general, my husband and I never eat out on Valentine’s Day because we know most restaurants gouge their customers by charging exorbitant prices and serving mediocre food. We chose this restaurant because we had their Valentine’s Day prix fixe many years ago, and it was fantastic. Today, what we had at best was, «hotel wedding food.» The whole menu was uninspired and felt like an afterthought, getting the little inspiration they had from the 1990s. But, even if the menu were not creative, I would have at least expected a meal that would be cooked well. My husband and I don’t mind paying a lot of money for food if it’s done very well, but in this case, we felt cheated that we had to pay $ 200 for really, mediocre food. We will definitely not come here for their Valentine’s Day special menu again.

Just finished my Valentine’s dinner here and had the worst dinning experience I’ve ever had here. The food was less than mediocre and my waitress had bad table manners. For starters, they sat us at a table that was not being serviced. We had to track down the hostess to let her know. Second, the gnocchi sampler plate was over cooked and mushy, the silverware for each course was all bent. My filet mignon was smothered in some sort of brown gravy that tasted packaged or old. Our waitress could barely put a proper sentence together. Finally, it appears that patrons under her tables were the only ones who didn’t get a rose at the end of their dinner. Awful experience for $ 250. One would think they are dinning at Denny’s if it weren’t for the bill. I question whether they are under new ownership for such s poor experience.

My wife and I decided to have our Valentines Day dinner here, and it turned out to be a very expensive mistake. The dinner rolls were under cooked and doughy. The spinach salad with fruit was uninspired. The pasta was salty. The vegetarian main course was so ooey gooey cheesy that the vegetables almost couldn’t even be perceived. The desert was a mediocre chocolate lava cake. They’re prefix menu(which is all they were serving tonight) tasted like buffet food, yet they charged us nearly $ 200 to experience their prefix menu. Huge let down.

The food and wine was fantastic! Bread; appetizer and pasta… yum! BUT the service was«OK.» We waited a lot for simple things, like water… My friend and I were here with our daughters. They ordered plain spaghetti with butter — a bit on the pricey side for a kids meal($ 8.50 — and that didn’t include the drink(another $ 3.50). I didn’t realize that it was going to be so expensive for the kids meal as no menus were given.

Basic American Italian food. I ordered osso bucco and it wasn’t the greatest, super fatty and hard to eat. This was a huge disappointment seeing as it’s one of my favorite dishes! My boyfriend had spaghetti, which wasn’t anything special. The sorbet presentation was pretty cute, mine arrived at the table served in a frozen peach. The ambience of the restaurant was nice though the tables are a too little close for my comfort. The staff seemed really nice and pleasant, no complaints there!

This place has a really good vibe to it, and it’s a great spot for a dinner date. I’ve been here a few times, and although the food may be very authentic, it wasn’t my cup of tea. I’ve tried their pasta and it was a little bland for my tastes. I tried their homemade gnocchi and it was tasty like our server said it would be. It was had a very rich touch to it, I would recommend it to gnocchi fans. My cousin tried their hot link pasta and she didn’t like it much. Overall, the food was enjoyable to a certain extent. The ambiance of the restaurant is great, and the service was decent. But I don’t think it’s for me.

I came here for dinner with two friends without reservation. We weren’t sure if we would need to wait long since it was a last minute decision to come here. Luckily we got seated right away and our waitress told us she’s normally the bartender. We started off with one glass wine or mule and munched on fried calamari. We shared our entrees: Risotto del lago, Penne alla salsiccia(with substitution of fettuccine), Costolette di agnello alle erbe. My friends told them it was my birthday so we got a tiramisu. When the waitress brought it over we were so surprised that she knew what we wanted. We debated between tiramisu and the chocolate mousse. Since we got a dessert I ordered a miscato to go with the dessert and round two dessert with chocolate mousse cause why not. She came later asking if it was my first time and surprised us again with lemon liquor shots. Parking here is really limited as in the lot gets full fast. Definitely worth coming in! Try to make reservations just in case haha. We seriously got lucky on a table without having to wait.

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. What a good find. The funniest thing about this place is that it is so close to the club called«The Spot.» As a matter of fact, I absolutely loathe«The Spot» with a raging passion that cannot be described in PG-13 words. Anyway, before I get on that tangent, I am really happy I found this place for New Years Eve. It was one of the few places in town that did not have an outrageous pre fixe menu. I ordered the lobster gnocchi and it was both flavorful and filling. My girlfriend ordered the lamb chops, which were both flavorful and cooked to perfection. We also ordered the crème brûlée at the end. It wasn’t the best I have ever had but it was solid. My waitress was excellent too. Very thoughtful and very informative. I highly recommend this place.

Delicious Pasta. We recently visited downtown Campbell, and were in the mood for carb loading. Decided to try Bellagio, due to solid reviews they gathered on Unilocal.Surprisingly, despite having no reservation and it being a weekend night. We are immediately seated, no fuss. Between the two of us, we ordered the spaghetti carbonara and spaghetti allo scoglio. The carbonara stood out more for me; it was just loaded with good flavors; salty, creamy, cheesy and rich — love it! The portions were quite generous, so much so we left with a doggy bag! Some downsides; the ambiance and service feels a little pretentious. In addition to that, with each pasta costing $ 17– $ 26 food is definitely overpriced. Other than that, food is good and would recommend this place for a solid Italian fare.

Arrived in San Jose at 9pm and was really craving Italian food. Found this place, arrived at 9:30 and got seated right away. Warm ambience and friendly staff. We started with the calamari which was light and crispy on the outside and the squid was perfect, not chewy like some places. I ordered the fettuccini verdi bolognese and hubby ordered the bucatini bellagio. Both portions were humongous! We totally could’ve shared because we have enough leftovers for a whole other meal. The bucatini bellagio was a bit on the salty and creamy and the noodles are thick. I really liked the bolognese. The spinach pasta added some freshness to the meat sauce. Too bad we were too full for dessert because the house made tiramisu sounded yummy.

(3.5 stars) We came in on Monday for a date night with a reservation. We got seated right away. I had the pappardelle all’aragosta($ 30). It was good, but not the best I have had. The pappardelle topped with empty lobster shells, which I thought was misleading. The lobster meat was chopped up and mixed in with the pasta. Lobster portions were skimpy, not worth it for its price! My boyfriend ordered the linguine alle vongole. He really enjoyed it and even dipped our complimentary bread in the clam sauce. I thought the clams were slightly overcooked, but the overall flavor was outstanding. Warm and romantic ambiance. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was good, but there was no wow factor in the two dishes that we tried. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and would come back to try other dishes.

I don’t usually give 1 stars but when I do, its worth it. Flew in from LA friday night and was hungry, so we arrive here at A Bellagio. Got seated very quickly and after that everything seemed like a long wait. Our server Tom walked by our table a few times telling us he’ll be right with us which was no problem. He comes and gets our drink orders once it was my turn to choose a drink he leaves and comes back with the jar of water, so I guess it was water for me for the night lol and that was pretty much the last time we seen Tom until the bill came. Took about 10 – 15 minutes for us to get some bread(and that’s because we had to ask another waiter). From the time we ordered to the time we got our food, it took 43 minutes but who’s counting. The food was good which is why I’m giving this restaurant 1 star instead of zero which I can’t anyways lol Wont go back here on my next visit to the area. I’d rather go to Luigi’s Pizza & Pasta or dine in at Frankie Johnnie & Luigi Too. That will be worth the drive

Yes. Yes. Yes. Please do yourself a favor and come try this place just once! We were trying to decide where to go for our Sunday date night and my boyfriend wanted to try a place that isn’t a big chain restaurant. So we searched and searched and finally found this little gem on Unilocal. First off the décor is gorgeous. Very simple and elegant and the little fireplaces are such a nice touch outside. We get seated right away and then the server comes out and tells us the specials. We ordered the Burrata for our appetizer, Bucatini Bellagio for the main dish and ended with the cheesecake. Holy shit that Burrata is the best thing I have ever had! I seriously could have left happy and full after that dish alone. Then she brings out the Bucatini… I have never not finished a pasta dish but this was so thick and filling that I had half the dish left to take home with me! It was the best pasta I have ever had and I’ve been to Italy! I’m actually sad I couldn’t finish the whole thing it was so good. And finally the dessert, I’m not a huge dessert fan but I had a good 5 bites of the cheesecake before I became way too full. And to top off all of that delicious food our server was by far the sweetest, nicest and most cheerful server I have ever encountered. We will definitely be back for more! I have got to try the rest of the menu!

One of my favorite Italian places around Campbell. I was given a GC for my birthday last year and I’ve been coming here ever since whenever I crave for italian food. The service is quick and the servers are very attentive and nice. The place is light an airy and there’s outdoor seating. Drinks are decent and portions are decent. Give it a try!

Ordered the Pappardelle All’Aragosta and a couple of appetizers(clams and calamari). I enjoyed the pappardelle and would recommend it if your in the mood for pasta. Clams I would pass. Calamari I would get again as long as you order it extra crispy. The service was decent, a little slow for my taste but can’t complain. The waiter was as attentive as he could have been seeing as he was the only one in the area serving everyone. The should hire one more just to make sure all customers have what they need. Atmosphere had a nice ambiance and was clean. Had that Italian restaurant feel. Over all I have a great time and would go back again.

New owners! Bah! They say«the menu is the same.» Really? The burrata which was our go-to, all-time-favorite burrata of all burratas but now they serve it with some paste-stuffed cherry tomatoes and arugula instead :(what happened to the super sweet heirloom tomatoes with fresh cracked pepper? What happened to the prosciutto? GONE. We ordered our usual dishes and they tasted different. Not in a good way. Why change a good thing that has a loyal customer base, and going for 12 yrs strong? Makes me really sad. My husband and I have been coming here since we started dating(8 years ago!) and it was always such a special place and the food was consistently awesome. We will always love Abbas and the other servers who are so sweet to their customers. Hey new owners, we liked everything the way it was, don’t kill the vibe!

Awesome food. Love the chocolate desert. It’s probably my favorite anywhere. And the mozzarella and tomatoes is also incredible! It’s the smoothest creamy mozzarella I’ve ever had. Delicious! Nice atmosphere. Not to busy. Not to stuffy. 2nd time here. Establishing my favorites as described above. That and a glad of wine. Primo!

A bit of a pretentious place service-wise, but I greatly enjoyed the food at A Bellagio. I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, which consisted of sautéed pancetta, egg yolks, parmesan, and black peppers, and it was amazing! It also came with three dinner rolls which were a bit dry but nice to have accompanied the pasta. The dining room is gorgeously decorated. And there are some tables outside that you can sit and dine at. A nice place for a celebration dinner or a special occasion, since the pricey plates are just that: pricey. There is a shared lot in front of the restaurant as well as free street parking.

Pappardelle all’Aragosta! Come to this restaurant and order that dish if you feel like loving yourself a bit extra tonight. It’s the lobster pasta– made of creamy, cheesy, tomato sauce that smothers thick, wide noodles with chunks of delicious lobster throughout. The presentation of the dish is adorable as it’s garnished with the clean shell of your cooked lobster. I like that they thought to garnish the plate with the shell, yet did the hard work for you beforehand altogether. The hard work being shelling the lobster and chopping it into bite size pieces for you. All that is left for you to do is to simply eat the dish, enjoy it, and feel spoiled. The ambiance and décor is described by me as rustic romance. This restaurant is specifically nice for date night because of this. Oh, service is wonderful! I love the host and servers. I’ve been here 3 times already, and everyone has been consistently charming. I’ve been pleasantly catered to by various gentlemen here, all always checking to make sure my dining experience is the best it can be. I really appreciate that. It’s easy to confirm that I’ll be a regular at A Bellagio. I love the place, people, and plates. Random last notes: — Calamari is good. — Fettucine Verdi Bolognese is currently my second favorite dish. — Chardonnay selection is decent. — Pappardelle all’Aragosta was honestly SO good that I couldn’t wait to get hungry again to eat the leftovers later.
