This is a scenic place to rest for a moment. The visitor’s center has brochures for the beach and outlets. The bathrooms are decent. There is a nice playground for kids. It is worth stopping just to take pictures of the water.

Awesome and free playground with three different areas based on your children age(2 – 12 years)! There was also a shaded area to have a picnic, family swings and a nice view on the water and a bridge. Some people were swimming or kayaking on the water. The visitor center nearby offered clean restrooms with a changing table and a fan. There was a path to walk on a wooden bridge and near the water. It was easy and free to park.

It was worth the pit stop =) I was driving on the bridge, on 50E towards Ocean City. My butt was hurting from driving about 2 hours, and I just randomly spotted a «park/grassy-lookin’ area» from the bridge… and literally just took a turn off the highway and decided to just check it out and see if it was a nice view of the water… Although I only briefly walked around for 10 minutes, playing some phone games and whatnot — the view was WONDERFUL. Wow, you get to be literally right against the beautiful water AND bridge! I can tell this would be a great place to take the kids, as there are a couple playgrounds. As a grown adult, I passed on the playgrounds — BUT I LOVED sitting on the SWINGINGBENCHES. There’s multiple of them! =) What a nice touch!!! I didn’t check out the bathroom/building facility, but it looked big from the outside. Pretty sure this place is kept up with maintenance — it was pretty clean in general, with no trash laying around. I think I’d come again if my legs start hurting from long drives to the ocean!

Our annual rest stop. 2 hours from home on the way to Ocean City, MD. Clean bathrooms. Great view & if you have children, a great little park for play overlooking the bay. Also stop on the way home & can park at the American Legion. There is a walkway from the bridge on that side of Rt. 50 going under the road over to the park/visitors center. Look for the big sail!

After two hours of riding in a car seat, our toddler was having a meltdown. So we stopped at this playground off of rt 50 to let her run around. Beautiful park and playground right on the water. The toddler playground is designed like a pirate ship and is situated on rubber flooring as opposed to sand like the other playgrounds. The slide at the pirate ship was very steep, but the rocking whale and rock climb were big hits for all the kids. Family swings that seat several people so everyone can enjoy. Love it!
