Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. You don’t find too many places that can not only meet, but exceed your expectations. Our table had crab dip, blackened scallops w/Parmesan rice, Jamaican burger w/fries, and another cheeseburger w/sides. Everything arrived at the table on time, while being cooked exactly as ordered! It’s also worth noting that many other restaurants really butcher the blackened, or Jamaican spiced dishes. Not Snappers… the chef nailed our seasoned meals! We also had a few mixed drinks that were crafted perfectly. The outside atmosphere is also nice. Very relaxed, with nice views of the local waterway, and it’s local boat traffic. We will definitely put Snappers into our dining rotation.

We make a point to dine here when we are visiting Cambridge. The food has always been excellent. Their crab cakes are full of crab meat and crabby nachos are amazing.

If this place wasn’t on such a picturesque spot it would have closed long ago. The food is barely mediocre and the service is worse. You want to eat burgers on the water? Go to Portside. You want to hear live music at a bar? Go to RaR. You want good food at a good price? High Spot or Stoked. You want to eat bad food surrounded by drunk rednecks? This is your place. Honestly, with so many great restaurants nearby do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I read all the prior bad reviews, and we decided to have lunch here anyway because they were just not believable. And… We were right. Drink and beer selection was good. Food was great. If you are looking for waterfront bar food with some unique Island food options, and a good view of the water, this is it.

Although the food was half way decent, and we did have a nice view of the water, we were pretty upset by the slow service. It took well over an hour from when we ordered for our food to come. No one apologized for that until we explained that we were frustrated. Really disappointing.

Racial Discrimination. The owner Laura wanted to SEGREGRATE my family and put us on the left while letting her white patrons eat on the right. There were open seating on the right and Laura wanted to save those seats for future guest. Why, when we were paying guest ready to order. Never experienced such racism in my life. Laura told us THREE times if we did not like her seating arrangements we could go somewhere else. THISWASOURFAMILYREUNION, HOW Traumatizing WASTHAT! Let’s not forget the KKK is still alive and well in Cambridge. Please don’t eat here, go to a diverse restaurant… PLEASE!

Great location on the water and nice tiki bar, but if you’re going for a meal you would be better off elsewhere. My husband got seafood enchiladas and said they were just okay. My stepson got cream of crab(said it was good) and a shrimp salad sandwich-small shrimp and not very much of it on a regular hamburger roll. I got the Mahi tacos and you only get 2 for $ 13.50. Usually you get 3 tacos in an order. Also there was lettuce instead of cabbage slaw, no cilantro, and cheese in it. Weird. The fish was grilled and it was cold by the time it arrived. This could be because they said my husbands plate was very hot so they probably made mine first and let it sit. It was not even that crowded so I can’t give the kitchen a pass. Our waitress was very attentive, friendly and polite. If only the food were better! I would go back for the view and some cocktails but probably not for dinner.

The food was terrible! The service was slow. My burger was black. My friend’s enchilada tasted like cardboard.

Stopped by on boat for a drink and an appetizer. About 9 people ‚///servers running around, about 10 people in the whole place, waited 15 mins for a server. When the 13 year old girl w purple hair came over she was rude and not responsive. I have come here for years and its always been just ok, couple slow rude service, skip these heathans and go across the street to portside. There friendly and fun, food is much better and there girls working there are very polite, and are not children

Absolutely terrible experience. Apparently our order did not go through due to a power surge. So an hour later we were informed of this. One of the meals showed up a few minutes later, the other one was not as ordered. 25 minutes later it came back out cold. Upon saying I was not interested in it any longer, they replied with«so sorry, here is the bill for everything else.» I have worked in restaurants for over 10 years. This is the absolutely worst way to handle the situation.

First, Awesome! Second, totally awesome! This place is directly off the water. The service is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Gary was our host and not only was the food amazing, the service was twice as good. The Rocas were phenomenal. A must stop for a drink and a snack!!!

Amazing chicken Chesapeake and a club sandwich with a crab cake that will rock your world. More of a party bar than I liked but we had an amazing view from the deck. I have them three stars because the beer that was served to me should have been colder, or at least put into a cold glass.

Service was good and the atmosphere is very nice on the water. They provide simple games outdoors to keep children busy whole waiting. The food could have been better for the prices.

Great beer selection, dogfish on tap, awesome clam strips with substance, good portions, good fresh chips and salsa, craved a fish taco and mahi mahi hit the spot(great by California standards) and I am picky about my fish tacos! Surprised about 3 ratings especially compared to other restaurants in the area. Would def come here again. Nice vibe with outdoor dog friendly seating. Service very attentive.

Bad service and cold food. Very disapointed. Cream of crab soup was cold. Server did not come back for over 10 minutes to tell her about it. When I did she did not seem to care. Restaurant was also very cold in December. I won’t be back!

Snappers is the best all around truly local place to have a great time, good food, great service, and good location. We always try to get Gary as our server, but all the servers are good and we have never left feeling like we didn’t get what we came for. We return as often as we can and recommend Snappers to all of our visiting friends and family! A great place!

We’ve been there a few times. and it usually misses some marks. Don’t remember what they were… just had the feeling we didn’t want to go back. However, we’d not been to Cambridge for sometime and wanted a ‘water’ experience. MENUSWEREFILTHY!!! We had to hold them from the outside… we should have left then but we were hungry. I got the ‘blooming onion’ and the swordfish on my Cesar salad. A bit pricey, fish was about the size of my computer mouse… too much cheese on the salad… but all was tasty. It was the service that lacked. I NEVER got a refill on my water… and she never asked if I wanted more wine. I went to find the waitress and she was SITTING by the hostess(who didn’t have much personality and looked like she hated being there) yapping away… she was very inattentive the entire time. Really? I had to go and FIND you? This was on a Saturday afternoon… her tip was lacking for sure. I’m sorry, but you are WORKING and the glass on the doors were also filthy… here’s your tip: There’s ALWAYSSOMETHINGTODO especially if you are getting paid for it.

I was really impressed with this little out of the way place. A little sports bar inside and even an upstairs«rave cave» for the hard core Ravens fans. I can’t say I partook in these but they looked entertaining and there were many fans watching the playoffs. I was here in jan so the outdoor patio wasn’t in use much but the view was very nice. I had an early dinner/late lunch around three thirty and the place wasn’t too busy yet. The service was excellent the whole meal and the server very friendly. You can tell a lot of locals eat here as she apologized when asking for my ID when I ordered wine and said she didn’t think she had served me before. The cream of crab soup was very good with a hint of sweetness and plenty of fresh lump crab meat. I was surprised to see the Cesar salad served in a chilled bowl and with homemade dressing and croutons. It was also very good. My crab cake dinner came with two crab cakes and two sides. One was the salad and the other a baked potato. I’ve had crab cakes many times and haven’t ever really been a fan, but I was told I had to try them in Maryland since I’m here. These were excellent served with a homemade tarter sauce and the portion was good, I took one home for later. I couldn’t try dessert I was too full. Overall u had an excellent experience and I only take away one star as I did think it was a bit expensive, one person forty five dollars before tip. I had one glass of wine, cup of soup and the crab cake dinner. But the food was so good there are no regrets.

I came here for lunch awhile back, lazy afternoon not expecting much. It’s simple burger and bar food, but there is one thing that stands out here. The place is settled right by the water a little bit, which you can watch the boats go out and the guys shoot the breeze. The outdoor bar is cheery, filled with locals, pounding back cheap beers, it’s great people watching. But what really stands out even though a sign entering the restaurant states everything is made fresh, what really is impressive is the place is right beside a crab processing plant and uses ONLY the crab meat from next door. and the crab is fabulous… So what’s the stand out then? It’s the crab nachos. We ordered some thinking not much, debating about crab cake, or this, I had a turkey burger also which was fine, simple for what it was. I was wondering how things would turn out, I have often been frustrated ordering nachos, because many people don’t do it right. They usually put only ONE layer on top of seasoning and cheese and leave you with nothing but a dry stack of chips. not here. The nachos are LAYERED with fantastic mouthwatering crab dip, jalapenos, and simple melted cheese. Devouring this thing with four people was pure joy, I still think about it till this day. Might be the best nachos I’ve ever had.
