IHOP

I came into to IHOP for what I thought would’ve been a great afternoon brunch with my friends but boy was I wrong. We came into this restaurant hoping to tended to in a timely manner but I clearly had too much expectation. We were seated almost immediately upon entering the establishment however, we were ignored for 45 mins ! Unacceptable. Especially for a Holiday, they were totally ill-​prepared. The food was presented sloppy. Don’t go there

Pretty good for the food but the service is horrible. I thought it would be good since we are coming at midnight so there won’t be a lot of people but boy was I wrong.

Since I can’t go lower, one star it is. It functions when it comes to food quality. This place has the worst service around Boston.
I’ve been here twice after midnight. Both times have been full of poor service but last night needs to be discussed. There is only one host who functions as a server and cashier as well and has no clue how to deal with people. In addition to him, there is another server and a busser.
The host took our order, and went away so fast that I didn’t get the chance to finish. We waited for about 20 minutes although the place wasn’t full. When my order comes, it’s the wrong one. I had ordered a Turkey Bennie with a side of red velvet pancakes. He didn’t believe me so he brought the menu back to my table for me to see how I had ordered wrong. My date pointed at what I actually had ordered and told him about the pancakes.
He had given my plate to another table so he just took it from them and brought it to me. (Who knows what they did to it.) He did the same with the plate he had given me before. I waited an extra 10 minutes for the pancakes and they came almost mini, without the cream cheese icing.
The guests sitting next to us were looking at our table with pity, specially when my date had to get up and ask another server for utensils since we never got them. We did our best to get out of there as soon as possible. It was a nightmare I don’t want to experience ever again.
IHOP, you have disappointed me.

Worst service during early mornings among all the ihop around Boston. We were 10 people and reached hop around 2 am in Saturday.
Firstly, we were waiting for a long time for the server to take order. Secondly, we did not get enough cutlery inspire of mentioning it twice! Finally ended up self other server.
As usual the food met the expectation. Ordered chicken fajitas and butter milk pancakes. definitely they need to improve with service.

Yes, I know IHOP is a chain restaurant but their food has seldom disappointed me. Their bacon and Chocolate Chip Pancakes are very good but their Nutella Crepes are not. They barely have any Nutella on top of them and none inside.

I am not a big fan of IHOP to start, so the fact that the service could not be any worse. you can only imagine. I walked in and was not greeted by anyone for at least five minutes. Call me impatient, but it’s a teeny tiny IHOP and I came at a popular hour. I saw at least five workers scrambling around without any regard for incoming customers. When a waitress finally came over, she told us it was busy and that there would be no tables. No time estimate to wait, no warm greeting, no goodbye. I have come in the past and the food was mediocre at best. I will definitely take my business elsewhere.

No one to greet at the front. No salutation. And on top of that they’ve got one waiter for the whole entire a joint. Completely unacceptable I won’t be coming back here. Better to go to Soldier Field rd. .they’ll never do this…& it was a holiday! !!!

I’ll keep this short and sweet. I found a roach under the tray of syrups. I proceeded to kill said roach and completely lose my appetite. The waitress was unfazed (does this happen often?), though she did apologize and take 20% off the bill (yes others in my party continued to eat despite said roach). Needless to say, I won’t ever be going back here.

By far the worst service I have ever experienced. When we arrived, the host was on his cell phone sitting at a booth. After being seated, we waited for a waiter for 20 minutes. We weren’t even offered a water before we handed the menus back to the host and walked out.
Hey, IHOP, don’t hire lazy people.

This is hands down the worst IHOP that I have ever been to. I went there with two friends and the place was died… That alone should have told me to run. But I was hungry and stayed. Big mistake the servuce was terrible and the food even worse and then to top it all off after the fact myself and both of my friends get sick… Just stay away from this location. I AM WARNING YOU

Terrible service, terrible manager for even letting this place get this bad, this place will never get its act together! Doesn’t even deserve the one star

Not gonna lie — I have a huge soft spot for all IHOPs, anti-​chain impulse be damned!
Used to live relatively close to this one, and it served me well through the years. Fairly spacious, generally not a long wait, and on point food and service. (When I was a meat-​eater, I usually went for the chicken and waffles, and it hit the spot every time!) Recommended!

Came here because it’s the only place open past 1 in the area. Understaffed; waited ten minutes just to be seated, only to find out there’s not a single power outlet anywhere in the seating area.

The service here is usually terrible. Of the four times I’ve gone, only once was the service up to par. Today, the server took more than fifteen minutes to take our order. fifteen minutes after that, he came back to make sure my order (which had no options or changes) was correct. Worth noting that the place was entirely dead. 15 – 20 after that, we got our food. All of it was delicious — except for the salad, which was entirely wilted and had many brown lettuce leaves.
Terrible service, even for Harvard Square. Not going again.

Best IHOP ever. There was only one waitress there when I went but that’s cause it was at night so the food took kinda long to come but she tried her best & it was all worth it. Food actually tastes better than all other IHOP locations that I’ve been to in the area. Had the appetizer sampler w onion rings, chicken strips w fries, bacon cheeseburger w fries, and tropical island twist. BOMB.

Wonderful food – eggs were cooked perfectly and pancakes were delicious. Their hot drinks aren’t amazing.
I am most impressed that they were open today (after 10 inches of snow fell last night). Service was extremely friendly and overall, this was a good experience.

I remember going to IHOP once in high school and thinking it was THE best breakfast food ever! Several years later when I revisited, the experience was rather less than satisfactory.
If you are a pancake lover, I would recommend the all-​you-​can-​eat pancakes for $ 4.99. The quality of the pancakes are just okay. I’ve definitely had better but it’s such a good deal and you can easily get the bang of your buck. There are 4 kinds of syrups: old fashioned, blueberry, strawberry, and boysenberry.
While my friends had the pancakes, I chose the fish and chips, which consisted of fish, fries, a slice of garlic bread, and some tartar sauce. The portion was smaller than I expected but still filling. The fish was nicely fried and went well with the tartar sauce. I just wished there was more of it. The fries were warm and crispy. I really appreciated it when the waitress brought us a bottle of ketchup and hot sauce without us requesting them. I have to have my fries with ketchup and the hot sauce gives them a nice kick. The garlic bread was nicely done as well. I could taste the garlic and olive oil.
The appetizer sampler was good to share with friends. We opted for fries instead of onion rings.
While I enjoyed the food, the service was subpar. Maybe I shouldn’t have expected so much since it’s an IHOP after all, but it got a little tiring when we had to repeatedly ask our waitress to bring over certain things like another stack of pancakes or a glass of milk for our coffee. It was an early afternoon on a Saturday, so the restaurant wasn’t busy enough to justify the lack of attentive service.
Speaking of coffee… do not get it! Do yourself a favor and go to a coffee shop instead. The coffee at IHOP, while unlimited, was so watered down and weak that it didn’t even taste like coffee anymore.
Since it opens late, this would be a sweet spot for late night munchies. However, if you are looking for a nice brunch place, there are many more better options in Harvard Square.

Chocolate pancakes were just fine. They say «chocolate chips in and out»… I only saw some chips inside.
Their hash brown was not good, Denis dose it much better.
My boy friend had French toast with fruits on top, which was good. Will try something different next time.

Me and my friends were in many other IHOP locations within the states and always were satisfied enough to handle the wait and some mistakes which can occur. But this time it is just ridiculous and not acceptable the way server is talking to customers and how they perform for WHAT they Actually get paid. This is your job, and I know it gets crazy and you can deal with customers all day long. I also work at the retail/​customer service, but if I would be getting this type if service at the place I working I would get fired for sure.
Wait is more then an Hour and we are still waiting patiently and hoping to get our food and finally leave.
It’s ridiculous. If you have something on your mind and want to go eat at other place Please do so because it not worth the wait and frustration while you just want to simply eat and get going.

Our server was a dapper guy of South Asian descent, and completely on point and friendly! Loved the service!
