I went here after going to the super bowl up the street at Rosie’s Bar. We walked the the door and we were told to seat ourselves. After sitting for about 10 minutes our waitress and seemed frustrated be fore we even said one word. She then took our order and we never saw her again. The bus boy gave us drinks and food. The food was terrible. Maybe it was just because it was late but the food was very bad. We ordered bbq ribs and mac and cheese. It came out and it didn’t taste like food. The ribs were flavorless and had the texture of mealy cardboard. The mac and cheese looked inedible. It was like out of the box make and cheese. We only drank water because we weren’t ever offered to get anything else. Terrible food and even worse service

Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I had a BLT with avocado and it was tasty… had lemon mayo but there weren’t 2 pieces of bacon on the whole thing and it was served on cheap white bread. Place was almost empty too. Should have been my clue. I expect more than 2 over cooked pieces of bacon on a $ 11BLT. Correction… $ 13.95BLT. They asked if I wanted fries or salad for a side and I found out after it’s $ 3 extra for cardboard cold fries. The waitress forgot to bring coffee and the staff was clearly disinterested in the few customers. Won’t be going back.

Live music on Sundays and make sure you try the award winning burger. Nice vibe and open late.

Great ambiance, central location and good food. What more could a patron ask for?

Found this place traveling to our destination in Santa Rosa and stopped in Calistoga for a bite to eat before heading on. Hubby had the burger and I had the grilled chicken sandwich. Had an amazing tasting lunch! So much so, that we returned the next day on our way home for a repeat! That speaks for itself!

Went here thinking they close at 11pm since that’s what it says online. Walked in at 10:24pm & the lady behind the bar said they’re closed, only serving cocktails & drinks. Hah. Change the hours on your website then. Don’t make people come out thinking y’all close at 11pm. False advertising. Y’all suck.

Food is decent, wine is ok, but the customer service from certain personnel is just awful. Older looking lady behind the bar is very unfriendly, very vague about menu, pretty unresponsive, seems to be annoyed with every asked question. Hope you have better experience. Happy hour prices for food and alcohol are good.

Have been coming to Calistoga for many many years and tonight was the first night we decided to try this place out. This was definitely not a disappointment. Such a cozy atmosphere. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. Made us aware of the most popular dishes. Food was served to us very quickly. We started off with the calamari appetizer and the shrimp cocktail. The calamari were super crispy and delicious. The shrimp cocktail was superb and had a great flavor. For entrees we got the award winning burger, which was absolutely incredible. The mix of crispy prosciutto, mozzarella, grilled red onion and basil aioli was the perfect combo. We also tried the quesadilla with chicken, sour cream and salsa, which was also super tasty. Super happy with tonight’s dinner choice! To top it all off the live music was perfect! The perfect Saturday Night :)

This place is I N C R E D I B L E ! Perplexed at the poor reviews. We came here because it was close to the Roman Spa where we were staying. It’s a grab a menu and seat yourself kind of place. The service was friendly and impeccable. I felt like a visiting celebrity, they were so nice! Now for the real reason I’m writing this review. THEFOOD. I ordered a medium burger w/fries as did my fiancée, and it was love at first bite. The fries were PERFECTION. Crisp, not too greasy, and pure deliciousness. The burger? OUTOFTHISWORLD. Every single bite had me moaning in culinary ecstasy(good thing it was a little crowded, otherwise people would be staring). Hydro Bar is the official home of the best burger I have ever tasted. As I write this I am crying inside because I have no idea when I will be back for another visit, being from Oakland and all. But most likely very soon. Wow! I can’t recommend this place enough. My friends ordered the lasagna and a cheese pizza. The lasagna was pure love and comfort on a plate. Cheesy, gooey goodness, having a party in your mouth. The pizza made my face explode in shock because I was floored at how amazing the crust, sauce, cheese, and spices tasted. Our only regret was not coming in for breakfast the next day to try their morning offerings. We will definitely be back for sure to try it soon. To everyone at Hydro Bar, you ROCK! Keep up the amazing food and service. I hope you stay open forever.

Breakfast review: –food good –service terrible. Rude waitress who never checked on us and seemed angry that my friend ordered her breakfast with egg whites only. We had to hunt her down for the check.

I had an amazing time here. The onion rings, mozzarella sticks, yam fries, and dipping sauces were amazing. The staff is excellent, and I LOVED their tripple IPA on tap. This place is perfect for having a good time, good good, and good drinks.

I ordered the Asian salad with chicken which is $ 14.95, from their lunch special menu. It wasn’t the best Asian salad I’ve had and overall didn’t taste that Asian. Although the ingredient list included napa cabbage it seemed to be 95% regular mixed greens, and lacking the sesame flavor usually prominent in Asian salads. The dressing was a bit too heavy, and all the salad leaves were covered in a full layer of oil and very vinegary. Also, if it weren’t for Hydro’s complimentary french bread and butter I would not have been satiated after my meal. It was a decent salad, but not worth $ 14.95. Hydro’s could improve by making their meal prices more correlated to the amount of food given or filling-ness of the meal, as I think their heavy, rich pasta entrees and meat-centric sandwiches and burgers were about the same price or cheaper than the salad.

We came in for brunch on sat we had the juevos rancheros and the hydro hash both were excellent. We sat at the bar. Bar service was a bit slow but the place was packed within 20 min of us sitting down so kind of acceptable. Excellent Bloody Mary’s and great beers on draft I believe there were about 20 or so. One of the few places I know with Anchor steams California lager on draft so that’s a big plus in my book. All in all a good brunch

We came here for dinner since it was close to our hotel and the front desk person at our hotel recommended this place. Ambiance is very casual, grab your own menu and seat yourself. Warhol and random artwork on the walls, very eclectic mix of music throughout our meal, and service was quick. My husband’s steak was overcooked, but slathered in their sauce made him thoroughly enjoy his meal. My salmon was perfectly prepared, so I was very satisfied. The warm brownie with ice cream was delicious. We’d go back.

I’m not sure why we stopped here. I think it was a desperate act in a moment of indecision. From the confusing name alone, I think you know that this is not a place where you want to have dinner. It’s equally confusing inside with the Greek bust and Cesar’s Palace paint motif accompanying an old West style bar. The food menu is no less cluttered. I made an executive decision not to order any food here and just had a drink, like 90% of the other people inside. Wifey had the mac and cheese. I had a bite. The only positive thing that I can say, is that it was served hot. The bar smelled of spilled tequila. Even my drink was bad, but that wasn’t the bartender’s fault. I ordered a bourbon randomly from the menu, never having tasted it before. That’s what I get for ordering a «bourbon» from Oregon. Unless you’re into drinking well tequila, this might not be a good place to stop.

We stopped here for breakfast. I had eggs Benedict with spinach and my husband had the hash special with lots of fresh veggies, chicken sausage and marinara sauce. I thought everything was fresh and delicious. Very cool old building on the corner of main road through town. The drip coffee was different, bitter taste.
