Great local business. They have tons of flavors to choose from and you can sample if you aren’t sure what you want. There are benches and rocking chairs to sit on on the porch out front. Make sure you bring cash.

Decent selection but needs a customer restroom. Fair selection and prices. Better cost option than store across street. Very upsetting that no restroom for customers and especially those with kids.

As a frequent visitor to the area, this was my first(and won’t be my last) trip to the back porch ice cream shop. Although the ice cream is not«home made» it was delicious. You can smell the waffle cones being made and sure enough right behind the counter one of the ladies was making them hot and fresh. There was zero wait and my one scoop ice cream cone(really 2 scoops) was $ 3.50. Skip the«other» ice cream place unless you like long lines, rude workers and super sugary sweet ice cream.

Family mom & pop shop, fun atmosphere, great for kids. They make their own waffle cones!

Ordered a coke float. Received a styrofoam cup with 1 oz. of soft serve vanilla yogurt and a can of cherry coke. I paid 4.25 plus tax and had to make the float myself. If I had ordered a can of coke and an ice cream cone, my bill would have been 2.98 and I would have received more ice cream. I had to wake the cashier up to pay and the server could barely communicate with me. Go to calabash creamery ¼ mile down the road instead. It’s worth the long line.

Stopped here for some iceceam on recommendation from proprietors of Sub-17 and was not disappointed. Very friendly people and great iceceam. Protip: try the New Orleans snowball with icecream it is awesome. Best of all we sat outside in their rocking chairs and people watched. A great way to start Spring Break. Be aware they only take cash so have some handy. Great place.

Nice little ice cream shop. My Big issue is they ONLY take CASH!!! REALLY no credit or debit cards. We had to leave to find a bank to get money. The wife just wanted to go to her favorite place Calabash creamery but I wanted to give this place a try. Nice selection of ice cream, waffle cones are great. We both had the strawberry short cake and it was a good portion for the price. We sat on the porch and enjoyed the ice cream. The help was very nice and service was fast, we got some samples before making our choice which was nice. My wife says it was good but she likes Calabash creamery better. IMO a nice ice cream shop if you have cash and you don’t want to wait in line at the other place.

I was only in Calabash for 4 days and had to go twice. My mother-in-law had raved about how good the ice cream was and how much better it was than the Calabash Creamery right down the street. So… we gave it a try. This is privately owned business in operation for almost 15 years. For starters, they have homemade waffle cones. They have a very nice selection of flavors, toppings and other ice cream treats(malts, shakes, splits, etc.) Also, very friendly servers(not careless and rude teenagers ala most ice cream shops) Yums: Extreme Moose Tracks, Candy Bar, Blueberry Cheesecake Homemade Waffle Cones You should also notice the surprise treat at the bottom of your waffle cone to stop the drip… a nice little extra touch.
