The spot is a great place for breakfast. The service is great and the food came out fast. Big plates of food. The only problem is the acoustics in the restaurant. It can be super loud if it is busy.

They just renovated the inside and it’s beautiful! Awesome outdoor seating, plenty inside, and the staff are always pleasant. This is a great place to go if you’re looking for a sunny summer vibe. Great food, cool location, reasonable prices. The ONLY issue is parking when it’s busy, but you can always park down the street somewhere and walk a little bit. Not a huge deal. Highly recommend!

Great for breakfast/lunch! Atmosphere is fun. Dinner was just so/so but we mostly go for breakfast items(anytime) which is great so we’ll keep going back!

Extremely pleased with The Spot. First time here, we came with a group of 12, with ever al kids included. They accommodated us quickly with outside seating. Truly some of the best breakfast food around, the Chorizo sausage was delicious! Can’t wait to go back

So very disappointed. My breakfast came out extremely over cooked and when I mentioned it to the server he didn’t even offer to fix it. I love the décor and the theme but I will never be coming again. It was just a terrible experience

Really want to love this place, but too much turmoil and upset as of late. They messed it up big time when they changed up the dinner menu back in Feb 2016, then this week I got food poisoning at wing night. I will give it to The Spot that they have a bangin cheesesteak and a great waitstaff.

Overpriced for the quality of food served. Mediocre on all fronts: service, atmosphere and flavor! I asked the chef specifically for dairy and gluten free suggestions. He was pompous in his response, and when my $ 15.00 entrée arrived, it had two big slices of artisan bread. Attention to detail people.

Very convenient location. Good American style breakfast. A little pricier thank average though.

Delicious. Went last minute and I had the burger and my husband had the grilled chicken salad… Both were amazing. We ended up taking dessert home… He had the brownie and I had the pineapple carrots cake, yes that’s right pineapple and carrot. This is the best carrot cake I have ever had and carrot is my all time favorite. I’ll never have plain again. So very glad we found this«Spot» it’s a great old gas station that is converted into a diner.

— I came here for their Wing Wednesday special! $ 0.50 a wing with a minimum order of at least 6 and after that any number if fair game. Come early though because they do keep a limited stock. I actually ordered the last 20 they had that night and I had shown up at 7:45pm. I had their Pineapple Habanero, Maple Garlic Parmesan and their Buffalo. I couldn’t taste much pineapple, but mostly habanero and it was crazily spicy. Their Maple Garlic Parmesan was AMAZING. One of the best wing flavors I’ve ever had. The Buffalo was good too! Their wings are slightly smaller than«typical» restaurants and they have a light breeding on them. Very good overall. I enjoyed the ambiance of an old gas station becoming a restaurant complete with 2 huge garage doors as well. Great place guys!

Really not very good, could not stop focusing on the dirty air vent, flys all over the place, drink ok, way overpised for sure, probably won’t go back, they were out of fish tacos which was the reasons we went there

Ive been to the Spot about four times now. This is one of the restaurants I want to love, but every time, I’m slightly disappointed. A lot of things are wonderful, good service, unique menu, unique ambiance, bike rack etc. My last two dinners were great and disappointing. The salad was fresh and amazing but the chicken was very dry, over cooked, bland and under portioned. Prices are a tad high for the hit and miss consistency. I will be back, but i hope the owners tighten up the consistency of the food. Also i fought off flies for the entire hour dinner, couldn’t wait to leave.

I’d like to start off by saying that the food we all got was delicious. I went with three other friends for dinner around 8 and we had been excited to try out their dinner foods. I’m all for supporting small, local businesses but I value what I spend my money on. I got The Machado and it was definitely worth its price but the service was terrible. We went inside as it said to be seated and the hostess told us to sit anywhere, so we went and sat outside. It took them about ten minutes to come clean our table and give us menus, not to mention that they personally seated another couple before us and gave them menus before even looking at us. Once our waiter did notice us, she was confused. She was not super friendly, but not rude either. She only filled our water glasses at the beginning and when my friend asked for a refill, she only filled her glass when all three other glasses were empty. I was just extremely unimpressed with the service, the place could have been so much nicer if the employees weren’t incompetent.

I took the kids here one evening. It was convenient to my travel route and was a change of pace from the places we normally hit. I’d been here before, but it was for lunch. The salmon was super yummy, and both my kids practically licked their plates clean. It’s a little pricier than what I normally go for, but the food was excellent.

I ate dinner here earlier this evening and ordered from the VT Restaurant Week menu. They had a special menu printed for the event. The atmosphere is creative, nice, and relaxing. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Everything about the experience was excellent! I had the pot stickers for the appetizer, Baja Longboard Jam for dinner, and the Fried Cake with Moose Tracks ice cream for dessert. The pot stickers had a pork filling and were quite tasty. They were crispy on the outside and came with a flavorful dipping sauce. The Baja Longboard Jam was delicious – pork enchiladas on a bed of rice, beans, diced tomatoes and onions, with guacamole and sour cream on top. The fried cake and ice cream was a perfect finish. Other times I’ve eaten here I’ve had and recommend: The Peahi(fish tacos), The Hamilton(steak and cheese), and The Maverick(burger).

I used to not really like this place. I had gone only for brunch and was never very impressed. I’d even had a few really bad brunch sandwiches there. Then I made a discovery. The Spot has some very good food, but you have to know what to order. Breakfast food is not really their specialty. Unless it contains carne asado(braised, stringy beef) in which case your breakfast will be great :) Other things they do well… a great burger. Great rice and beans. Good steak dish. Good carne asado tacos. A great special chicken sandwich with bacon. The salads are ok. Any breakfast egg dishes are pretty rubbery. So, if you’re going to go to the Spot, pick the right things. Avoid the eggs and other breakfast food(mostly). Stick to dinner-type foods.
