Another great highlighting session with Patricia, Reconnect Salon in Burlingame. She’s fast, skilled and gentle… and I love how she’s getting my hair lighter, step by step.

Jenna is super nice and does an awesome job! She is totally honest with hair advice and looks out for her customers. Reconnect hair salon is super accommodating as I wear a head scarf and they are able to take me upstairs for a private hair treatment. I’m still getting used to the 70 $ price tag for a trim but that’s the lowest price I could in the Bay Area for a good salon. Have gone there twice so far and will continue going in the future.

lang + paul are the foundation to my glam squad, and i love and appreciate our partnership continues to deepen and evolve– it has become so intuitive. a few months ago, i expressed my desire to have «some fun» with my hair and was particularly drawn to the silver/​grey trend. lang and i engaged in a dialogue about what the advantages and disadvantages were (especially around wanting to keep it somewhat refined for work), and during my appointment this evening, we ended up achieving results that we are over-​the-​moon for and could not have imagined– silver, lilac and caramel tresses! it was exactly what i wanted without knowing that it was what i wanted. ;) don’t you love when that happens?
the best part? the health of my hair was never compromised (we had to lighten it) and lang left me with tips on how to maintain the lilac hue in my hair.
i left the salon feeling like a billion bucks! lang + paul, you never cease to amaze me and you always, always hit it outta the park– i am SO thankful for you!

You have to really appreciate the time and attention that Paul and Lang have invested into their new venture in owning Reconnect Hair Design. On top of it all, they remain an excellent stylist (Paul) and an exceptional colorist (Lang).
I have been coming here for close to 9 years and Paul never disappoints on his haircuts. Whether we cut off my hair, cut just a little or give me bangs, Paul is a perfectionist, and will cut your hair with technique and style that you just don’t get at other places.
I came in on February 11^th to have Lang color my hair. Let’s just say, I screwed my hair up, BADLY! I had a black box color, self inflicted highlights, natural color, greys… it was a HOT MESS. Lang was patient and made a few suggestions on how to get my hair back on track and I was happy to let her do whatever she wanted to make me look presentable again. And that’s exactly what she did. With some soft colors and a few highlights, my hair is beautiful, soft and you couldn’t even tell what was there before. :)
Paul and Lang remain my favorite couple and now that they are owners, the salon only gets better from here. :)

Who’s the best? Paul is the best! If you even need just a great haircut or maybe in the mood for a whole new style, he’s your guy! So professional and personable, makes you feel like family. The salon manager, staff, and other stylists are very nice and welcoming. The salon itself it absolutely beautiful and kept so clean and fresh. I’ll be back for sure!

I love this place… Eddie is a very talented hair stylist. He really takes the time and makes sure you always leave happy! I have fine hair and Eddie knows exactly what styles suit me and I always trust him 100% to pretty much do what he wants with my hair. I have always left there so happy with his services. I have an amazing hair stylist for life. THANKS EDDIE!

You guys, I never write reviews, but I witnessed some next level magic today with Jenna, SuperStylist Extraordinaire and I really need to share it with everyone! Let me set the stage for you:
For almost two months now I’ve been holed up in my apartment dreading any contact with the outside world. Why? I got my hair botched, I mean BOTCHED. Not just the color but the cut too! It was real bad. I had six different colors in my hair, and not on purpose. My cut was somewhere between scene chick and 1960s shag, with uneven bangs to top it all off. Never let someone do your hair when their babysitter cancelled, but I digress. After that disaster I babied my hair to get it back to a healthier state.
If you’ve ever had to call a salon to inquire about a color correction, you know how nerve wracking it can be. A lot of places will make you feel terrible for even asking, (sometimes it’s not our fault!!) or give you some insane price estimate to scare you off. But when I called Reconnect, they were sweet and understanding and booked me a consultation with Jenna right away. They were the only salon in the area that even answered my call or returned my messages! That already says a lot about their professionalism.
I met with Jenna and she was so kind and reassuring. She walked me through the process, honestly explaining everything and listening to my questions/​comments. She booked me for the next day and even came in early to make sure we had enough time for my appointment! She was upfront about the cost and made sure I was comfortable with everything she had to do.
And let me tell you, Jenna had to do A LOT. She spent over five hours on my hair, explaining each step, and working quickly and efficiently to preserve the integrity of my hair. She was so friendly too, and not in a fake way. I completely trusted her to do what she thought was best and I’m so glad I did! My hair turned out AMAZING! It’s shiny, feels better, and is a beautiful brunette color with highlights and balayage. I left the salon feeling like a million bucks. All the other stylists were so positive and encouraging as well, it’s a really great environment to be in. No catty stylists who think they’re too good for you! There’s a reason most of their clients have been going there for years, and I can’t wait to join the club.
Jenna, if you read this, thank you again a thousand times over. I feel so pretty again and it’s all thanks to you!

Eddie Garcia is a consummate professional! I could rave on & on about his superior skills as an expert stylist… Most recently, I made an appointment for Eddie to cut both my husband & my 12 year old sons’ hair… They had never been to Eddie before but heard me commend Eddie’s work over the many years I have been going to him… after their haircuts they both told me without hesitation that «Eddie is the best stylist in town, and they will never have anyone else cut their hair». :))) I couldn’t agree more!!! This is one happy & loyal family 4-​ever!

I will stick to my original review and my opinion about your salon and customer service etiquette. If you think your comments are appealing to your customers by twisting the facts and basically calling me a liar. You are absolutely wrong, all it’s doing is showing that you will do anything not to admit what really happened. You are not resolving anything by blaming it on the customer. My complaint is about your salon not notifying me personally in advance about the price increase, and waiting until it is time to pay, leaving the customer no choice. This makes me wonder how many customers you have done this to. On your comment you mentioned I have been coming to the salon for a year, that is certainly a lie on your part, I started coming in August 2015, so do the math., it is certainly not a year. Let me also add when I said the service is «Just Ok» is because in two previous occasions I was dissatisfied with the services your salon provided me.
1. My hair was cut too short when I specifically mentioned to the stylist I want to be able to style my hair in a pony tail.
2. A root touch up received had to be redone because it lasted about a week, when it should last 4 – 5 weeks. There was no additional cost, however it was an inconvenience to take time again out of my busy schedule to have it redone when it should have been done right the first time. Maybe you should get better products, so it doesn’t happen again to someone else. I admit, I should have gone else where as soon as I became unhappy with the services, but due to my busy schedule I didn’t take action.
In a nut shell I am free to give my opinion and state my thoughts and experience on your salon. I think it was really bad customer service and foremost I think your reply to my review was very condescending.
Good customer service starts with honesty and respect to the customers. Paul’s response clearly states he has no customer service skills nor respect for his customers. Definitely don’t recommend this salon.

I love this place!!! Gina Cerelli is my absolute favorite. She cuts, colors and styles beautifully. I fly from Las Vegas every 8 weeks to see her because she’s worth every flying mile. Her price points are reasonable and her skills are always on point. She always gives her honest opinion and is helpful in sharing with you what might work better for your hair. Since coming here, so many of my other girlfriends started to come see her as well.

I’ve been going to Reconnect for the past year or so, to see Gigi (Gina) Rollandi. She was amazing! Went from full brunette to a blonde ombré/​balayage. Kept my hair natural /​healthy. LOVED it every time I went to her — I would definitely recommend her!

Patricia Quinn completely rocked my hair world today! She is a Wizard with color and scissors! I had made some bad decisions w my do lately, and she completely Cured me! She was very good about helping me decide on a game plan, listening to what I wanted and making sure we were on the same page. I never write reviews, but I am totally inspired by her work and feel So happy to have found such a kind and skilled hair dresser! I Wish I found her sooner!!! You will be Amazed — and you Will go back! I know I am ;)

Ive been wanting to write a review for a while but I’m usually shy to post! My hairstylist Daniel has turned my hair around completly since I started going to him. My hair has gone from dry and brittle and short to super super long and i credit it all to him! I asked this time for highlights, more on the chocolate side, and he more than delivered! He is quick, receptive to my requests and is always on time and professional and on top of all that he’s sweet and makes me look like a million dollars when i leave the salon. Thanks Daniel for everything and Ill keep sending you more friends because you rock!

Originally I was using another salon, but when my hair stylist moved to Reconnect; I followed her. Rebecca is the best hair stylist I have ever had! Unlike most salons, she understands that I do not part my hair down the center, ever. So she never bases my cut on the center part. THANK YOU REBECCA!

I have been going to see Lang for my hair color for over eight years for one reason, Lang is amazing with color! We have tried a variety of colors, shades, and styles of application and I have never left their salon unhappy.
On top of being a great listener, incredibly sweet, personable and caring. Lang also prides herself on staying up to date with hair trends and continuously seeks out more education and training to make sure she can offer her clients the best services available to date.
Lang is the only stylist I refer my friends to when it comes to hair color and some of them were people who needed their hair color «fixed» when another unexperienced stylist messed it up. Lang has an immense amount of training and experience when it comes to hair and it truly shows in all of her clients.
Bottom line: Lang is an amazing colorist and you need her in your life if you want beautiful, healthy hair.

I went to reconnect a few weeks ago and got my hair done by Gigi! Before finding this place I visited a few other places but no one seemed to fully understand what I wanted to get done.
When I went to Gigi, I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she seemed to fully get it as well as recommend certain things. she was very friendly and welcoming and definitely has a lot of patience! I have A LOT of hair and I was in the salon for almost 5hrs and she did not rush or rush me at all. she took her time and got the job done!
definitely will be back and definitely recommend her!

I saw Jenna at Reconnect a couple of weeks ago. I waited to write this review to see how my hair faired through different types of styling, weather and after that initial hair shock when you get it cut. I was really scared trying a new place because i have curly hair and have had horrible past experiences. I LOVED JENNA! She did an amazing job. In fact, i told a few friends that she was like a curly hair philosopher. Jenna did my initial cut while my hair was dry/​curly, then she went back through while it was wet/​curly to see how it would look that way too, and finally checked again after blowing out my hair and straightening it. I wear my hair all three ways all of the time so this detail was fantastic.
I love the cut and have gotten many compliments on it.
I would highly recommend that anyone (especially those with curly hair) get an appointment with Jenna.

I called Reconnect Hair Design in the middle of the day on a Monday in a panic after another colorist at a different salon cancelled on me last minute. Reconnect got me in the very next morning (Tuesday) with an amazing colorist named Gigi (Gina) Rollandi.
Gigi knows what she is doing! She took my hair from a dark brown/​faded red ombré to a purple/​pink ombré. She was very nice, very informative, and very attentive during the entire process. Within minutes, I felt like I could tell her anything about my life, she’s that easy to talk to. I will definitely be going back to Gigi if/​when I decide to change up my hair color, because I trust her knowledge. In addition, I was able to text Gigi about any questions I had concerning my hair after the appointment, and she did get back to me swiftly each time, no matter how ridiculous or outlandish the question (I’m a worry wart).
Overall, the salon is very nice. Friendly people, fast wifi, clean space, pleasant atmosphere, and the pricing is beyond fair for the great job that they do. Since my process took a little while (you can imagine), other stylists and colorists kept an eye on my process, and spoke words of kind encouragement during every step of the way. I’ve gotten so many compliments on the color, and I wouldn’t go to any other place now that I have found Gigi and the Reconnect Hair Design team. Thank you all!

I recently moved up to Belmont about 6 months ago and have been looking for a salon to call my own.
I am happy to say that Reconnect Hair Design has ended my search. I found them here on Unilocal and called for an appointment. Sidenote: I called last minute on a Sunday and they were very accommodating.
My appointment for cut and color was with Gigi and absolutely LOVE her! Right from the start she was extremely friendly and wasn’t afraid to make suggestions. She made me feel very comfortable (I get nervous trying new hair places because… Well, it’s my hair) and I trusted her with my hair right away. I was her last appointment and I finished way past closing time, but she never seemed rushed and she took her time cutting and styling my hair.
Long story short: Make and appointment with Gigi! My hair looks amazing! I love the layers and how they flow together. The color is beautiful and my hair looks overall, much healthier.
Only con: I would say this salon’s price range is $$$ not $$. But for the experience and overall outcome of my hair, I think it’s worth it and will definitely come back!
