The chicken fried steak here is awesome! The meat is substantial and there’s no loose batter. Everything is well seasoned. I need to try the beef liver and onions special on Tuesdays. They make everything from scratch including the pancakes. Best pancakes I’ve ever had. So fluffy and moist. Will RTE.

I always seem to only eat there at breakfast, and never stop by for lunch or dinner. That needs to change, but anyway best breakfast place hands down, the Texas waffle!

After having such great experiences and food with breakfasts at Our Place, I had very high hopes. Too high, apparently. The service was good, as always. But, the food just wasn’t all that. I had the chicken fried chicken breast w/green beans and mashed potatoes. The chicken was nice & tender, but the gravy seemed bland. Something seemed«off» with it. The green beans seemed overcooked and bland. The mashed potatoes were just«ok,» too. Overall, I think I would rather have the same items from Cotton Patch than Our Place. :( Don’t get me wrong! I will most likely be back(with or without my dad), but I’m pretty sure I’ll be sticking to breakfast foods when I go to Our Place from now on.

Best place for breakfast in Burleson. I love the Chicken Fried Steak Omelette. The burgers are good. I can’t say I’ve had a bad meal there either. The service is always super sweet(ask for Jamie!)

Went there for the first time about a week ago. Pass by all the time and never knew what kind of place it was. We went for lunch and absolutely loved it! Our server was friendly, chatted with us and was very attentive. The food was GREAT! We are planning to go and try their breakfast.

It was our first time here and we were quite impressed. Omelets were crazy good and fluffy. Add the biscuits w/gravy and a side of home fries and you aren’t lacking in the slightest. Coffee was fresh, flavorful and always being refilled. Staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The owner and his son made the rounds and were very sincere in wanting to be sure everything was to our satisfaction. If we didn’t live 4−½ hours away, we’d be here more often.

If you live in Burleson, are driving through Burleson, or just want a really good home cooked style breakfast, you need to come to Our Place. I make a point to come here every time I am in the DFW area. The prices are amazingly low for the quality. I always get the Our Place Special with eggs over easy, bacon(extra crispy) and pancakes. I don’t know what it is, but their pancakes have a secret ingredient that makes them unlike any other. So fluffy and tasty! I get them with blueberries mixed in. Because that’s not enough food already, I also get a side of hash browns and if I have someone to split them with me, an order of biscuits and sausage gravy as well. I can’t help myself here. I always pig out. They also have a location in Mansfield but I don’t know where that is…

This restaurant is outstanding, portions are big, food is delicious and wait time is reasonable. There are so many delicious choices to eat and it is even vegetarian friendly. My husband and I love going there for breakfast or sometimes brunch. It is very busy so make sure you go with time to wait for a table.

Pie. This is the best breakfast place in Burleson. Pie. It’s locally owned and they have a second location in Mansfield. Pie. They have great lunch specials too. Pie. You can tell how good the breakfast is because the parking lot is always full and the line out the door with an IHOP right next door. Pie. My only problem with this place is that they aren’t open for supper. Pie. Oh I almost forgot. The pies are incredible.

This place is great ! Very country feel to it, pretty cool. My husband and I like to eat here and now my kids love it too I don’t know how people still eat at IHOP lol. We always get the chicken fried steak something but we have to have it. Customer service is great, great people . They have home made desserts that are good but that disappointed me since I tasted cool whips or the topping on our homemade pie I was expecting more of a homemade whip cream taste you know But overall awesome breakfast place !!

OK, OK… perhaps i was a bit hasty to leave a review expressing my discontent for the long lines… and maybe i didn’t realize they are open the same number of hours as other restaurants, just start earlier. This place is like Chick-fil-A(closed on sundays when i want it the most) I always want Our Place after 3 o’clock! HAHAH anyway, thank you oh wise restaurant owner for showing me the error of my ways. And even though you did not properly use the word«you’re», I will be returning, i will be taking you up on that cup of coffee, and i will be checking out the new patio. See you soon! XOXOX

This food is average. If you want an excellent breakfast go to oldwest café. The wait staff was great; they gave me free cookies bc I’m pregnant :) and the service was quick. The Texas waffle is very doughy and chewy. The French toast is sub par. I probably won’t return, but it’s a real popular place.

Best breakfast ever! This place is so nice and welcoming with generous portions and great service. The food tasted amazing and was good value. I ordered the steak and eggs(egg whites) while my wife had the California omelette. We both we’re extremely satisfied with our choices. My steak was so juicy and tender with great flavor while my wife’s omelette tasted amazing. For sweets we both had two pancakes each, mine with chocolate chips and let me tell you that they we’re crazy good. The best so far! Our waitress was a really nice girl who brought us cornbread to taste and was so sweet in general. We HIGHLY recommend this place for anybody looking for a delicious breakfast with great service in the Dallas Fort Worth area!

This is one of those hometown places you love to find. And I did, thanks to Unilocal. They close at 3PM so it’s breakfast or lunch. Lunch time was SO busy, but we only waited about 5 minutes. First, free soup with all meals. We had a creamy taco soup that was outrageously good. I asked for the recipe, and of course didn’t get it. My chicken fry was in my top 3. Yep, that good. Glen’s chicken sandwich was big enough he couldn’t eat it all. Too full for the great looking desserts, maybe next time. We’ll be Back!

I don’t know where to start! It was wow after wow on my first visit. But I’ll try to get everything in. First of all I was expecting a small place, and while it is not enormous, it’s pretty darn big! Bar seating and patio seating as well as booths and tables inside. The tables can be arranged to accommodate large groups if needed. The place was packed with people waiting, but the hostess took me to a few open seats at the bar. I made my self comfortable and quickly was made to feel at home by Tracy, who I was lucky enough to have as my server. Since I’m horrible with names I was also lucky enought hat she was wearing her Our House Restaurant baseball type jersey with her name on the back. I’ll never forget how wonderful her service was, that much is for sure! She was also greeting and conversing with folks that I found out were regular customers for the two and a half years they have been open. I already knew what I wanted to order, but I checked over the menu thoroughly anyway. They have so many good home cookin’ style options that I was glad I came in with a mission; I’ll get to that part in a bit. Tracy took me through the options for my order of the Breakfast Sized Chicken Fried Steak-Two eggs any style, hash browns, grits or home fries and toast, biscuits or pancakes…8.25 Large Steak 9.55. The steak comes with a cream gravy that you can substitute for the sausage gravy for under a dollar. I opted for the large steak, over medium eggs and pancakes to go with the coffee that Tracy had hooked me up with as soon as I had sat down. My food was all cooked to perfection and was also at a perfect temperature. The steak was tender and obviosly fresh, the hash browns were cut in a way I have never seen and were hash brown perfection and I have to say that the eggs not only were perfecty cooked to over medium, but also mthe prettiest pair of eggs I’ve seen at a restaurant(my grandma’s eggs were ALWAYS this pretty). I am looking forward to making the long drive from my work or home to try more of the wonderful offerings and may personally change the name to ‘My Place Restuarant’. They are so good I wish I could move closer to Burleson! This leads me to why I made the drive in the first place. A former Unilocaler; I will not dignify them with a mention of their name, not only wrote a scathing review based on an easily fixed alleged problem, but also started a talk thread to further their attack on this outstanding establishment. My initial reaction was to respond to the frivolous complaints as so many other Unilocalers did. I had already seen the the response by Otto; the owner, to the review and he replied to the talk thread as well. He was so professional and sincere that I had to come give them a taste. man am i glad I did! After I had eaten and experienced wonderful service from Tracy and her coworkers, Devon in particular, Tracy asked where I lived. When I told her Rowlett she was curious what I was doing so far from home and I told her the story and she grabbed Otto and introduced him and asked me to share the story with him, so I did and he was truly touched and appreciative. I will see these folks many more times as I plan to visit as often as possible and keep sampling the menu for years to come. Our Place Restuarant is a family place with a family type staff that is now My Place and hopefully you’ll make it Your Place!

Driving out of town on a day trip for work can be fun sometimes because I get to eat at restaurants I probably wouldn’t normally stop at. Long story short, my colleague and I stopped in for breakfast and then a few hours later for lunch. For breakfast, I ordered the small chicken fried steak for about $ 8.50. The warm syrup on top of the incredibly thick and hearty, yet fluffy pancakes just instantly made me slam my entire face in the plate and have at it. The small chicken fried steak is plenty big enough for a smaller appetite and was fried perfectly; not too much batter and not too greasy. The hash browns were actual big slices of potatoes instead of the tiny matchstick variety you find at other places. On the way out, I saw the pie case but decided on the green tea muffin because it was just so different. The taste isn’t overwhelming but you can definitely tell it’s green tea, only sweeter and cake-ier. So our fat ass comes back to the same restaurant some 5 hours later only to find that the restaurant is still fully packed. For my second feeding, I ordered one of the daily lunch specials, catfish. Three filets, hushpuppies and I went with the turnip greens and mac and cheese. Everything about this place is incredibly fresh and it definitely shows. They even give you a cup of soup along with the basket of rolls before you even order. The catfish breading wasn’t the cornbread kind, but a thicker one that still allowed the bottom feeder to shine. Delicious greens and just okay hush puppies. I don’t like stick-shaped hush puppies because it makes me feel like I’m eating a really obese French fry, but it’s never crunchy. This place should get the five stars alone to the rolls. If there’s a Unilocal list for the best rolls around, I’d like to nominate«Our Place.» The rolls are not only magical on their own but the honey butter is just(insert whatever positive adjective you’d like). I, believe it or not, was still kinda full from breakfast and therefore was only able to eat a few bites of my meal before I lapsed into a food coma, but I did mention to the waitress for some honey butter for my to-go box before I passed out.
