Not all locations are as good as this one. Come here often, great food for great prices if you use the coupons. There’s only a few times I could count on my hand that my steak was not good or not cooked to my liking. Molasses bread is amazing, three cheese garlic bread is also pretty heavenly if you’re really hungry. Steak soup is a must.

This is my first visit to this or any Black Angus restaurant. I was treated to impeccable service, an excellently-prepared filet, and a very happy tummy. It is quite rare for me to be able to afford a steak dinner and even more rare to have it prepared correctly. I was beyond satisfied. Even though the place is very busy, this was no issue to my server who gave me personable and genuine service. I will certainly be returning to this establishment.

The name Black Angus brings back memories. It used to be the go to restaurant for my family celebrating any special occasion in Washington. The interiors are dark and manly suggestive of sitting by a campfire in God country grilling a perfectly marbled steak while the beans bubble in a massive iron pot. I’d just flown into Burbank on a Wednesday night and wanted to thank my buddy who doggy sat my darling Audrey Hepburn(maltipoo) and steak is right up there on her celebration list. I love the comfy booths and helpful staff on First Ave. and for my hungry friend we got a table in 5 minutes. The menu is loaded with variety with a lot of the plates I remembered; but I wasn’t impressed since all that variety means usually nothing is that fresh. We had the Campfire dinner for two: includes a starter, entrée for each, choice of sides and one dessert to share. She chose the steak, I wanted chicken. I asked the waitress, «What’s the difference between the BBQ Chicken and the Grilled Chicken?» «Nothing really,» was the answer, «Just one has BBQ sauce and the other doesn’t.» Eh? You mean without the BBQ sauce, both chickens taste the same? I’m in the kitchen a lot so that answer concerned me but not enough to change my mind: I ordered the Grilled Chicken. The appetizer fried Zucchini was delicious, crispy with moist and delicious perfectly cooked zucchini. From there it was all downhill. My buddy’s to blame for the condition of the steak, she ordered well done. Enough said. However, there was no excuse for the condition of my chicken. It was a large, solid chicken breast with absolutely no flavoring and about as tender as… well you get the picture. The nice striping of grill marks indicated it had been on the grill but the taste indicated it was all for show… not one iota of seasoning or flavor within. The Mac N Cheese? Meh… there’s so much better at local diners. Salad? Picture pulling greens out of a bag and dousing with bottled dressing. The dessert? Can’t review that as she took it home and it wasn’t remarkable or I would have heard about it. The Black Angus experience is rather like selling your childhood home and returning 20 years later. Nothing looks or tastes like the campfire smoky flavored goodness that anchored the name Black Angus. It’s now the generic, nothing authentic, nothing original, everything’s prepackaged franchise restaurant.

I have mixed reviews about this location. We come here because it’s the closest one to us. I’ve had exceptional service and bad service(wait time wise). Waiters are very friendly. We enjoy the campfire feast for 2 promotion, plenty of food for a good price. We have never gone for happy hour at the bar but I’ve seen the happy hour menu and it looks awesome.

My son and I went to Black Angus In Burbank. Friday Jan 8,2016, How anyone could write anything negative about this place is crazy!! Amanda greeted us and was the sweetest and so polite while escorting us to our seat. She made us feel valued! Max brought us lemon water after we asked, and was so nice and prompt. Then Kent our waiter gave us menus made some suggestions and really displayed outstanding customer service. It was my birthday, and i was treated like Royalty. I felt like a real valued customer and that the staff genuinely care. The food was exemplary!! Wow! I had asked for the manager and Travis came over and took time to listen to all my heartfelt compliments. He is a direct reflection of the outstanding service at Black Angus and trains the staff from a genuine place of love and care. Thank you Black Angus, we will be telling all our friends and family to come to Burbank Black Angus Steak House for outstanding customer service and exemplary food. The prices are worth every penny too as the quality is fabulous. I recommend this establishment 100%

I don’t do a lot of reviews since I’m easy going, but this is a must. First of, the place smells when you walk in, as if no one cares for the place. bathrooms smell like sewer lines are broken or something. food was horrible, service was double horrible, and the manager Lisa, has no information about customer service. Food came out cold, lobster overcooked and again had the smell of old food. Be aware and look for this things if you want to waste your time and appetite and money.

My boyfriend had a coupon for a «campfire dinner for 2» coupon, so we decided to try it out. We both like a good piece of meat so it was fitting to come here. The coupon came with 1 appetizer, pre-selected entrees(with 2 sides) and a dessert. For the appetizer we got the artichoke dip. It was insanely heavy. I think they used mozzarella cheese so it just was salty and not very pleasant. I got the New York strip streak medium done with a side of mashed potatoes and a caesar salad. In all honestly, the steak was so salty it was overwhelming! Yes, I finished my plate, but I think the best part of the meal was probably the caesar salad. Everything was fine, but just again not sure what was up with the salty flavor. Maybe the salt shaker slipped from the chef’s hand? We were so stuffed that we just took the dessert(cheesecake) to go. I think this is a nice, casual place to come in and get a decent steak, without breaking the bank. But I think if you are looking for an affordable place to grab a steak I would recommend just driving a few miles away to Outback :-/

Chucks, i wish i could’ve given a higher rating: the side dishes and desserts here are delish! But when u ask a steakhouse for a medium filet mignon and they take forever and bring u a well-done…what a shame! And the waitress was clueless(or maybe she knew and was avoiding a re-do)! She came close by 3 times to help other tables, but not once stopped by to ask how my meal was! Had she done so, she could’ve have saved the establishment from this review, just by caring(don’t even think i would ask for a replacement, cuz i was hungry by the time she brought my steak!) And NO, the place was no «packed!» No excuse for the lack of caring from staff. Management: back to «training your staff 101» class!

My supervisor was kind & generous enough to host a party for us here to bond outside of work and celebrate the holidays. I had the top sirloin with a cesar salad and the mac and cheese(best part of the meal). With quality cuts of meat I prefer rare to medium rare, though for this, requested medium; steak came out medium well and too dry. My buddy next to me faced the same dilemma and sent his back. I was hungry and since it was on boss’s tab and I was there more for camaraderie than the meal, ate it up. The servers were all very pleasant and accommodating, particularly when repeated requests for multiple orders of Irish car bombs and tequila shots were flying. I passed on those and not because the youngsters referred to our seating area of the table as the AARP section! ;) Pretty funny how once the alcohol flows more steadily, the noise level rises along with it. I enjoyed some Lost Coast Pale Ale and a Lagunitas IPA. So, I will break this review down into three categories: Food: 3 stars Service: 5 stars Location: 4 stars An entertaining afternoon to say the least.

Love their $ 58 combo deal! 1 choice of ANY appetizer 2 choice of entrees 1 choice of ANY dessert So many choices for such a low price! Loved their potato skin which was so crispy!!! Delicious salmon. Great prime rib. Ahh! I want to go back there for their potato skins!!! Great service!!! I would love this place more if they offered beefy ribs, but this will do for now hehe. I walked out of the restaurant with my belly about to burst! Bread pudding was good but not as good as other places. This bread pudding had more of a mushy– soggy bread like consistency rather than a pudding consistency. It was very flavourful and edible.

SABRINA was our server. She was great. Perfect speed. Gave us privacy and attended to everything we needed. She was very charismatic and outgoing. I highly recommend her. Food was great and everything came out perfect. I will certainly ask for her section next time I come into Black Angus. –Edgar Montalvo

Hmmmmm. I want to give it 3 ½ stars but can’t figure out how to do that. Let me go in order. Appetizers pretty darn yummy. Then… Main course, not so great because 1.) Green beans where cooked, I don’t know how? Without water? They werenstale old old old! They tasted like they had been froozen for months, then baked badly, then fried as an attempt to give them some sort of flavor. They were hard hard hard like twigs?! Not cooked at ALL! Wtf? Potato stale, stale, like they gave me one of the ones they hadn’t turned into a wedge. The steak was DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS. DESSERTVERYTASTY. Ok. Here’s the worst part of the experience. The service and he management. Management should be rated harshly because they’re really the ones«Managing» and it seems no one was really running things at this Black Angus unfortunately. The waitress was so so, the bathrooms were horrible, horrific. 3 out of the 4 bathrooms where our of service, 2 were stuffed with wads of toilet seat covers, I don’t know if some awful guest did this on purpose? But no one had handled it. Then the 3rd was dirty with little pieces of shit? On the seat and water? Not sure how or why. When I went to report it to someone, no Management in site. Thus, absolutely unacceptable. Someone needs to be there’s on top of people making sure quality stays in at any restaurant. Its a 70 $ meal, for normal folk, you expect a decent clean experience that’s pleasant to the palate.

I came here with a large group of 12 and they were quick to accommodate us. The waitresses were extremely polite and attentive. Each entrée meal was around $ 13 with 2 sides. They give you a free warm, soft, loaf of bread with butter for an appetizer, which I enjoyed. I ordered a sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly, juicy and well marinated. The baked potatoes and green beans were also great. My wife ordered the filet mignon sandwich, which she loved. We had great food and service so we enjoyed our visit.

We came with a coupon. The special included an appetizer, two steaks and a desert for two $ 40. It’s really an awesome deal(camp fire feast I think). This place immediately reminded me of Cattle Ranch from the hilarious show Fresh off the boat. It’s cowboy themed steak chain restaurant. The food was very decent. We loved the grilled artichoke hearts. They were hugh and had great dips. Our steaks were also good, not amazing, but for the price they were great. Prime rib and rib eye recommend. You also get 2 sides each with this deal. Yes it is a LOT of food. We also had the pleasure of trying the white chocolate bread pudding. Very sweet and different. Overall our waiter Mike was fantastic and attentive with great recommendations and our food was pretty good! We would come again. You truly can’t beat the price.

After living in this city for twenty years and not understanding why we have a chain Cowboy restaurant, I tried it. The portions are huge, so the price evens out. We got the deal for 2, and everything was delicious yet sodium filled. I got steak soup and green beans w/bacon as my sides and both were awesome. My main dish was chicken and ribs and my fiancé got the rib eye 8oz. Everything was quick, and yummy. A star off for the servers though. They looked way over it to be working a Saturday at 6pm here.

Reading all of the low-star reviews bemoaning incorrectly cooked meat and bad service, I thought this is pretty much what we expect these days from the chain restaurants that peaked in the late 90s. I must write, though, that the negative reviews are nothing like the two visits I’ve had to this Black Angus in the past 4 months. Each time we had extremely attentive and friendly service — in fact, Laura, our waitress, even remembered us from our visit back in October. We were totally shocked! This could be because the restaurant was nearly empty on our first visit. It was basically a last-minute birthday dinner lark, but the steak was so good(and I «only» ordered the top sirloin) that we returned for my own special day, and we concluded that the steaks were even better this time, though I did upgrade to rib-eye. I like my steak medium-rare, and honestly, the quality of the meat here is excellent, flavor top notch, cooked perfectly, tasty sides. True, there are other steak restaurants out there that do it a bit better, and I can’t ignore that Black Angus does feel a bit low energy nowadays, but for me these were enjoyable outings, very reasonably priced, and we will be back.
