A nice and new location with average food and average service. I long for the Hooters of old. Step it up or you won’t last. Don’t trust me? Look what happened to the Kilt up the road.

I’m not ashamed to admit I love the Hooters chain. Love the breaded wings medium with a cold mug of beer, sometimes splitting a burger with my wife and getting wings too. This Hooters needs to get its act together. The wait time for our food was long, and even though this location is new, the cleanliness of our booth was unacceptable. The wings and fries were ice cold while burger was good. Just dissapointing service and quality.

We’ve never eaten at this location in the past since it always looked crazy busy right next to the mall but we had a chance to try the new smoked wings for free from Bzz and decided to go. The location is new and service was good, not the best we’ve ever had, but they tried. It helped that we went early in the day and only had a party of 4. The new smoked wings are the reason for the 4 start review, SO good, go try them, you won’t regret it. I think Hooters is trying, slowly but successfully, to reinvent themselves and this retake on classic wings is certainly a step in the correct direction in our opinion. #HootersBzzReview #GotItFree.

I visited the revamped Mall of GA location with a party of 3 on 5÷1÷16 around noon. As the restaurant had just opened, it had not yet begun to fill up. We were greeted promptly by the hostess and seated. Our drink and food orders were also taken quickly and the restaurant itself was tidy.
I unfortunately forgot to get our waitress’s name, but there were no qualms — she was attentive, respectful, and got our special food requests correct. Beverage glasses were always filled.
Since I had received a coupon for 10 free new smoked wings as part of a promotion, I went ahead and ordered those with Texas BBQ Rub for the table. Unfortunately, the signage for these was not easily spotted so we had to make a fly-​by-​the-​seat-​of-​our-​pants decision on flavor. These were not named for us when I asked, nor were we told that they could be sauced as opposed to just a dry rub. Nonetheless, the wings arrived hot and super-​delicious. Despite us all being stuffed at this point, we all wish we had ordered individual portions in lieu of actually sharing! If you haven’t realized: the smoked wings are A+. I’m still craving them again.

Our entrées were underwhelming. Collectively, we ordered: Baja Blackened Mahi Fish Tacos, Baja Shrimp Tacos, and the Big Fish Sandwich. Everyone’s fish was overcooked and sadly almost too tough to cut with a knife. We tried to suffer through it, but ultimately left most of it on our plates without asking for to-​go boxes. Luckily, we were stuffed from the wings and my charitable decision to share my side of fries, so no one was left hungry.
Overall, the rest of the experience trumps the overcooked fish and we would all return for those wings!

My husband and I went to the Hooters at the Mall of Ga in Buford to try the new smoked wings since we were given the opportunity to try these through a coupon in return for a review.
I was a bit unsure if I would like them since I only usually enjoy fried wings. But I was willing to give it a shot. My husband doesn’t enjoy spice so he tried the wings with a BBQ rub and I tried the jerk rub. We didn’t try the other wing rub called garlic habanero. I have to say the wings were crispier than I thought they would be. But overall, I think I still enjoy the fried wings more. My husband thought they were a bit spicy. I love spice and they were ok paired with the buffalo sauce. The wings were tender and we both enjoyed the smoked flavor of the wings. I would try the habanero flavor next time since I love spice and it might be paired better with the buffalo sauce which is an all time favorite. We both ate all 10 of ours although my husband eats to the bone. I usually only pick off the outside of the meat.

I went to a Hooters for the second time in life, this time to try the new smoked wings that they’re testing in Atlanta. I got a coupon for 10 free wings from BzzAgent and I went for the Texas BBQ. In general, I’m not a wings person. A lot of mess and a lot of work to get like two small bites of chicken from a flat (I don’t dig on the drumettes). I was more than pleasantly surprised with the size of the wings. It was a LOT of food, to the point I only ate 5 of the 10 wings. We had started with some fried pickles, but it’s not like those are super filling. As for the taste, I loved it. There was a definite tang to it, but also some sugary taste. They were delicious and best of all, lower in fat, salt and calories than the regular wings! My friend also got 10 wings, but he got it with one of their original sauces (I don’t remember which one). He also enjoyed his very much and also didn’t finish his. We took them home and he ate both sets the next day. Our waitress was very nice, but very busy as we went on a Friday night.

My husband and I went to Hooters Mall of GA for lunch last week and tried the new smoked wings for free, thanks to Hooters! The restaurant is newly built and very clean. Our server was very nice and attentive. I think the uniforms are tacky, but it doesn’t detract from the experience too much. Now for the wings, the smoked wings are awesome! I’m not a huge wing fan to begin with, but I loved these. I ordered the Texas BBQ rub on mine, and my hubby got the jerk rub with a side of cajun sauce. They were all very tasty. We have a few free wing coupons left and will be happy to go back and order them again!

Gave Hooter’s another try using my coupon for free smoked wings from Hooter’s. This time around, my husband and I tried the lemon pepper flavor. Definitely a favorite of ours! In fact, we both wished we had more…10 was barely enough! Great service, as well! Two thumbs up!

My husband and I went to this Hooters for lunch and to try the new smoked wings. The restaurant was clean and pretty empty for that time of day. The server was nice, but man does the food take forever to come out! I tried the jerk flavor smoked wings with a coupon I for for 10 free wings thanks to BzzAgent and Hooters. My husband also had regular wings, in hot sauce. We got down the the bottom of our drinks and out server never came back to refill them, so that was eh. Overall, the food I’ve had has been really good, but the servers could use a little refresher on prompt service, especially when the restaurant is dead. I give the food a four and the service a 2 ½.

Service good atmosphere sporty, food not good at all. Fish and fries soggy and lacking flavor… Def frozen. Boneless wings so small more like a tapas and sauce flavorless. This is a place you go for voyeurism and not food

Nice looking when you come up to the building and walk into the place. That’s where the only things good end.
Hair on my buddy’s drink glass to start… All down hill from there.
Waited probably over an hour for our food, the first time.
Even though he asked they be brought out last, my buddy had his crab legs delivered before the other 2 of us got our food.
The crab legs still had ice on them even though they are supposed to be served steaming hot.
When my other buddy and I finally got our sandwiches, the fries had clearly been sitting out in the kitchen for sometime. Dried out and stale-​like.
The salad that was ordered came out after the main food did and looked like it had been prepped maybe the day before, with the lettuce shriveled up and turning brown.
My wings finally made it out before my sandwich and fries had been re-​made; but by then I just didn’t want them.
By the time it was all said and done, we probably waiting close to 2 hours before we got all of our food and got it right.
All and all a horrible experience. One of the worst overall restaurant experiences I have had.
The manager finally came over to the table to apologize. Evidently, the kitchen staff is the worst on the face of the planet. They ALL need to be fired! But ultimately, it’s on management.
They did wind up comping all our food and drinks; and my buddy got a calendar out of the deal. So at least we did not have to pay for any part of the ordeal.
Probably won’t be back. Nah. I’m certain I won’t be.

I’m not a huge fan of Hooters but when in Rome… my husband was in the mood for wings so we stopped in. It’s pretty much your typical Hooters but nicer because it’s new. The service needs some work but hopefully in time the gals working there will get better. The new smoked wings are fantastic, although my husband and dad like the original Hooters wings better. They’re wing snobs. I also think the prices are a little high for your average «grub» kind of restaurant. Other than that it was a nice restaurant and it was clean.

I haven’t been to this location before, but the facility is clean, open and contemporary style which fits just right with me. Given I did stop by on a Sunday so it wasn’t necessarily packed or anything. The service was fast and friendly as well as attentive. The manager also checked on us at the end of our meal which showed they care for their customers. I wasn’t quite as impressed with the food however.
My sister tried the quesadilla appetizer and baja fish tacos while I just went for the smoked wings and sliders with fries. The wings wasn’t bad except for I made the mistake of getting it tossed in wing sauce when I would have probably enjoyed it more with a dry rub. I had the smoked wings bone-​in, naked, and tossed in chipotle honey. It wasn’t bad, but the sauce had an overwhelming after taste of honey. Again, I blame myself for getting it tossed in the sauce. The chicken meat itself wasn’t dry and had a nice taste though.
The sliders were your typical sliders and the fries were good. My sister wasn’t impressed with the fish tacos. She said it was under seasoned and just lacking taste. We also tried the mini desserts and didn’t deem it worth the price.
Overall, I enjoyed the service and facility, but the food is lacking just a bit.

Very Disappointed. My husband was turning 40 and thought a fun place to go to have a drink and some food with some friends to celebrate would be Hooters. I’ve been to other hooters before and they have a such a fun birthday dance and usually great service and fun atmosphere. NOT THIS LOCATION.
We ended up having 18 people in our party. Before you get all that’s why the service sucks let me tell you I called ahead and let them know so if they needed to call in another waitress or whatever. My friends arrived before I did because it was a surprise for my husband. They asked for the high-​top bar side. We all like to drink a little. :) But the ended up sitting us right by the door. In the middle of the main walk way.
After we got there we ordered a beer and it took over 10 minutes and I had to ask again. Before my husband and I got our beers they already were forcing food orders on one end of the table. Literally we just sat down. But whatever not trying to make a scene.
They took everyone’s orders and then we didn’t see anyone for over 20 minutes. One of my friends had to beg for a glass of water like 3 times before they brought it. I finally just ordered a pitcher.
The end of the table that the waitress started with food started coming out. 7 of my friends had their food and 11 didn’t. They were DONE eating by the time the 2^nd wave of food came out. and my mother in law, who ordered a salad was the LAST to get her food, again after pointing out that she didn’t get her food.
The waitresses never asked me if I wanted ANYTHING I had to ask for everything. They were so very inexperienced, both of them.
I spoke to the manager (David) and explained to him that we hadn’t seen either of them in quite some time and he said we put two on our table. He never came over and asked how we we were doing and was in fact rude to one of my guests.
Another of my friends ordered a drink and the waitress didn’t know how to order that so she had to go to the bar to order it. The bartender was helpful and actually came out to our table to ask my one friend if she needed another drink. The bartender came out and asked her more times than I was ever asked my waitress.
Cons:
Didn’t get drinks before food order was taken.
Didn’t get to eat at the same time.
Had to repeatedly ask for things
Table seating was horrible — they need to put some shades up the sun was intense and bright.
What happened to the fun birthday dance they used to do?

Fried pickles were pretty tasty but she didn’t bring the sauce, I had to ask for it.
I will not go back to this location. There are way too many better places to eat at the Mall of Georgia to endure that again.
Parma, Longhorn, Kani house, to name a few places that are waaaayyy better. I’d even go to Buffalo Wild Wings over Hooters and BWW kinda sucks too.

Our waitress was not able to recommend a beer because she said she was only 20… so that was weird.
Anyway, the place is really nice and the smoked wings were delicious!
They need to up their game with customer service, especially the hostess.

Ok, so maybe management read all these bad reviews and made some much needed changes. Our server was very attentive and the food was typical Hooters food which we all liked. The only thing I didn’t like is the new style and layout of the restaurant. I like the original setup where you can see the kitchen. All in all we had a pretty good night out

My fiancé and I were getting ready to go eat at Parma when my parents called and asked if we wanted to join them at Hooters for a light night snack/​dinner. We tried to convince them to join us instead, but they declined stating that my little sisters wanted a specific appetizer there. So we said ok, what the hell, lets give it a shot. The building itself is really pretty. Very open layout that to me felt inviting.
We walked in and were immediately sat (we are 6ppl). Victoria was our waitress, she was great; very sweet and attentive. We ordered boneless wings (20); half lemon pepper have honey chipotle. My parents ordered Mild wings (20) and my little sisters the beer cheese and pretzels. After finishing this, Fiancé and dad decided to order another 20 pc honey chipotle wings.
The pretzels with beer cheese were ok, beer cheese is hard to mess up. The lemon pepper boneless wings I got lacked lemon pepper seasoning and really looked like popcorn shrimp; teeny tiny. Matt liked the honey chipotle sauce on his wings. I thought they were drenched in sauce and thought id get heartburn from just looking at it. He said they were a bit rubbery sort of like calamari. That’s where my dad said we shouldn’t of ordered boneless wings and suggested he order another round of regular wings with the honey chipotle sauce. They did, and they ate it. While extremely greasy, they did enjoy this better than the boneless by far.
We had some dessert mini’s; chocolate, peanut butter and key lime pie. The key lime pie and peanut butter were meh while the chocolate was sour.
I feel the prices here are a little high for a chain with nothing at the menu jumping out at me. There was nothing that I just wanted to have or try. Nothing. There were no special deals or anything that would make me want to come back. OH and all of Saturday morning Matt and my dad were in the bathroom with really bad stomach aches… LOL

Worst service ever at the bar… They had three bar tenders and I was asked about my SHORT drink in 45 minutes. Also never offered me a food menu and practically had to beg for it from one of the three waitresses.
This is honestly sad since this area could use a nice hooters but looks like until management learns that customer service actually makes customers happy then they will continue to drive away customers.
Insult to injury… They even messed up my order!

For being a new establishment, I would expect this place to be a bit cleaner then it was. I would put the blame on whoever manages as its about accountability. The bathroom was just disgusting. Soaking wet floors and just trash everywhere. Takes a few minutes to keep areas clean.
Other then that, the service was good and the drinks were very well poured. Our bartender was engaging and attentive. Didn’t eat so this review is only based on the two items above.
I’ve eaten at hooters before so I’m assuming it’s all the same bar flare.

First time in a while that I have walked out of a restaurant…
The servers are great; very friendly, and she was on top of when we needed refills, etc… however, the kitchen will be the death of this restaurant. We ordered 15 wings, 2 fries, and a side of celery, and it took 45 minutes for it to be brought out, but we were already PO’d by that point and were heading out the door. This was also between 10 – 15 minutes after speaking with a manager (maybe even GM?). Normally we don’t get this upset about something like this, but that was all we ordered… you can’t honestly tell me it takes that long, oh, and with the restaurant only half full…
We were so excited for this location to open because Buffalo Wild Wings suffers from a similar downfall, and it’s a different flavor from taco Mac… we might try it again, but not likely considering we have always had the «best» service from taco Mac.

Great place for Football. All the girls are very nice.
Let’s hope it doesn’t turn out to be like all the other Hooters.

New Hooters location at the Mall of Georgia. Great bar area, and plenty of TVs! Plus it doesn’t smell like a traditional wing spot. Don’t forget about their specials after 10pm. In case you were curious, yes the servers are pretty and not like the high school girls working at the competing restaurants nearby. Service however could use some improvement. Plenty of servers just sitting around in the back of the restaurant within view of the customers. At other locations, the ladies work as a team to keep customers happy… So far not the way at this locale. Hope they work on that…
