Premium Wine & Spirits

Best liquor store in the area. I have tried going to a few of the smaller stores in the area but they never have any wine I want. Premier carries a number of wines from WA, CA and OR, and I like my west coast wines. I’m sorry! I really am trying to find a NY one I love but so far I haven’t found it. If you have a sweet riesling recommendation, please send it my way. I can tell you to avoid Bully Hill’s Sweet Walter white like it is the black plague on fire, that is by far the most disgusting wine that has ever come in contact with my mouth and I have drank wine coolers before. I digress… Premier = awesome.
The have pretty much any wine you can think of and the liquor selection is fantastic. The only reason I can’t give them 5 stars is NY does that BS mail in rebate crap and it’s stupid to have to mail in something to get $ 3 back. Just give the sale price! My husband loves the location on Maple that sells beers too.
They also have a return policy which is awesome, if by some chance you by the aforementioned disgusting Sweet Walter garbage and accidentally by 2 bottles. They will take back one of the bottles when you tell them that wine tastes like a turd lit on fire. I think the return policy is 14 days, but don’t quote me on that.
If they ever start to carry Château Ste Michelle Muscat Canelli wine, I will give them 5 stars. I will buy every bottle they have, and I will give 5 stars.

I love Premier! It is right near where I work and when I cannot get out to my favorite wineries, I walk over here. They have a huge selection of anything that you could be looking for, everything is clearly labeled, and this location has an incredibly helpful staff. Find Drew and ask him for a recommendation, you won’t be disappointed! Or at least, I never am.
There are always deals and look out for their «Double up for a buck» sale. :)

Alcohol? Well yes, yes I will. This place is great. Excellent selection of Bordeaux (my fav) and hard liquor. Reasonable prices and knowledgeable staff! 5 stars!

They were having a sale. Buy a bottle of wine and get the second (same wine) for $ 1. It worked. I was drawn in. I had reviewed the flyer they sent beforehand, and had looked on-​line as well. Preordered some wine I knew we liked and they had in stock (not part of this sale, but an OK price).
The wines for the sale were barely ok. I can see why they were on sale. $ 13 bottles that had no real taste. No substance. But I continued to peruse the options, hoping maybe a gem or two was hidden in with the rest. There may have been but I did not find it.
I did find a few bottles of other wines and spirits, and picked up my preorder, so the trip was not in vain. But I miss the days Premier was one location that really was terrific and had terrific prices all the time. I feel like now its just another huge superstore with impersonal help.

A huge thank you to Drew Kline! I live in Oakland, Calif. and needed a Black Tower Rivaner by July 31 for my boyfriend’s birthday — it’s our favorite and we can’t find it anywhere on the west coast. I placed my order on July 26 and got our Rivaner promptly on July 31 in great shape. It made the day so special!

This store is such a nice change from what I’m used to in the midwest. Nice selection and good variety. Keep an eye out for specials like «Double up for a Buck! on wine.»

It seems that everything that cant be found in WNY can be found here. We like the selections finger lakes wine and enjoy the friendly staff.

Who doesn’t love a huge warehouse full of libations?!
I especially love Premier now because I found out they carry my favorite Riesling ever– Washington Hills Late Harvest.
I also love that they have tons of rebates and coupons on some decent wines and liquor. Very handy when supplying a party!
Just wish they had the store part like the Premier on Maple.

If there is one place to go to pick up want in Buffalo, it’s a Premier Wine store. Walking in, you’ll be astounded one how much wine and spirits they have in stock. Regional? Check. International? Check. Miniature bottles? Check. Sales? Check. Dessert and Ice Wine? Check. I think my only disappointment is that they don’t carry specific New York region outside of the Western New York radius, but that’s understandable. Also, there no real section for Chinese wine, but the Japanese wine section is pretty decent.

OK I was in Global wine and spirits earlier today and wanted to stop in here to compare some Scotch prices. Ultimately I was a bit surprised to find out they are on average more expensive on just about all the scotches. Without sale prices I will be buying mine elsewhere. Selection is definitely huge, but for staple scotches I was surprised they were not the cheapest in town.
Wine selection is huge here too and they always have a bunch of sales on wine so they are good to go for that.

Good prices. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a wide selection of wine and liquors. Also, the Gourmet store they own right next door is absolutely amazing, so many amazing cheeses and baked goods and so many other good things to go with the liquor you just bought!

Certainly didn’t help with the wine addiction but the prices are phenomenal!
The massive 20,000 square foot warehouse is home to one the most
extensive liquor displays within the Buffalo region.
The prices at Premium are very favorable. With just a slight mark up
above cost. There are also frequent sales for various liquors
throughout the week.
Compared to most other liquor establishments, I was able to locate following @ Premium when other establishments did not carry such
items.
— 2003 Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon.
— Hendrick’s Gin
— Plymouth Gin
When visiting Premium, head towards the back right of he establishment. This area houses all of Premium’s «high end wines» with such notables as a 1995 Louis Roederer Cristal Rose, and a 1995 Château Margeaux Borderaux.
Customer service was deemed as favorable as employees are aware of where to located any particular liquor. Although certain employee’s expertise on a certain liquor may be questionable, their desire to help to the best of their ability should be applauded.
Only one note on Premium… Be sure not to get liquor happy. A credit card charge in excess of $ 300 is not uncommon.
