New Peking is one of my favorite new places for Chinese takeout. I have never heard of it before because I usually eat at Pan’s Garden. However, Pan’s does not deliver which is a huge setback for them. You can order and pay online and have food sent to your door in a decent amount of time. Because of this, I have never even stepped foot into the restaurant. Ordering online also clears up any confusion on your order(s) due to miscommunication. You can add notes to each item which helps if you have allergies or prefer not to have something in your food. The food itself is delicious. I have tried the General Tso’s, Sesame Chicken(both average), the Dragon and Phoenix(Chicken and Shrimp with veggies — YUM!), and a variety of soups. I do recommend the Wonton Soup with the fried noodles. Good for a cold winter day. They also have pretty generous discounts too whenever you make a purchase of a certain price. For example, you can get a free soup(Chicken w/rice) if your order is $ 15 or more, excluding lunch specials. I recommend this place to people who want cheap yet good Chinese takeout. The deliveryman was very nice the last time I ordered from here. I am looking forward to eating New Peking again in the near future!
I didn’t have very high expectations after reading the reviews, but I decided to order anyway since it was delivery. For starters, the lady who took my order had very poor customer service. This was probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life, that’s saying a lot because I have had a lot of Chinese food in my life. I had shrimp fried rice and an order of chicken wings… the fried rice had 3 ingredients, rice, shrimp, and chopped up onions. It was probably made with yellow food coloring as well. HOWDOYOUMESSUPFRIEDRICE? The chicken wings were okay, not very crispy. I am usually a generous reviewer, but I can confidently say I will never eat here again, not even for the convenience of delivery service.
