The ultimate«drunk food» Best steak hoagies in buffalo. Just only eat half if you’re sober, otherwise u won’t be able to accomplish much after bc you’ll be put into a food coma. Their secret sauce really makes it. Definitely a place u need to take out of take out-of-towners after a night drinking on Elmwood or Allen. Fries are delicious too

It was just another place to eat out at during the storm. They staff were nice enough, the food was ok and pricing was good — it was nice getting a little bit further away from the airport :) The place seemed clean enough, food was delivered in a timely manner and those veggie fries were actually quite good!

I used to love Jim’s but its gotten a lot worse over the years. Could be that I’m just unlucky but the quality is so bad the last few times I went. Subs are sloppy and dry. I’d rather go to sleep starving than give this place another shot.

They give a fuck! Love it!!! So good and the employees are very approachable and friendly. The best Jim’s Steak Out by far in the area.

Known for their«I see drunk people» quotes on their Jim’s shirts, those four words describe the biggest part of their business, having lines of drunk, hungry people going out the door at the end of the night around 4am when people are forced to leave the bar and feed their drunken need for some great drunk food before getting home and praying to the porcelain gods that their great food stays down for them to enjoy. Now that I got that graphic tale of how Jim’s Steakout became the hot spot for the late night munch fest let’s get on with the review! Assuming your reading reviews here to see if this place is right for you, I’ll give you an honest answer, yes it is. Jim’s has a variety of food that you can choose from. My favorite sub they have is the Diavlo which has steak chopped on the grill topped with fried hot peppers, melted cheese and Jim’s Secret Sauce — all on a toasted Italian roll. All hoagies come in an 8 inch or 12 inch option. In the mood for a taco or possibly a wrap? wings? other hot or cold hoagies? How about a burger grilled to perfection? that’s just a short list of options you can get here. If you’re on a diet or just like to eat healthy there are different varieties of salads, from healthy to unhealthy salads, or even order one of each ;). There are a few different side orders you can add onto your order as well such as onion rings, chips and three different styles of fries: regular fries, taco fries, and if you’re Canadian you’ll love this more than anyone, the poutine fries. There are combo options you can choose from too which will give a slight discount if you order your food in that fashion. Think this can be your favorite place where you might start dropping some serious cash here to feed that Jim’s craving? Ask them a Jim’s card. The card is free and you can gain points with every purchase you make. You’ll be pleasantly surprised when you tally your points and get a meal on Jim’s for being a great customer. I lost my card but they were able to get me another one and transfer my points, so you know they want you to get the points and get a free meal on them because that’s just how they are, great people who put up with a lot of drunk people to make sure your fed before passing out. This location hits up the Goodbar, Coles, and other surrounding bar area hungry drunks. This location gets pretty busy from the Buffalo State and area residents, I would try to avoid it around 4am unless you don’t mind waiting. If you know what the owner of Jim’s Steakout looks like you’ll find him at this location a lot of the time. You probably won’t know who he is because he dresses the same as his employees, and he also takes order at the counter and cooks too. Pretty great CEO don’t you think? This is one of the best ideas for a company I’ve seen in a long time, and can see this place blow up and expand throughout the U. S as one of the next big things. Try it out now so you can tell everyone that you had Jim’s before Jim’s was big when it gets there.

The BBQ chicken finger sub is amazing. Remember: this is fast, comfort, dead of winter, warm you up food, not a Michelin starred restaurant. That said, I love it. My brother and fiancé love«the stinger», essentially a Chicken finger sub and a Philly cheesesteak in one monster sandwich. Their fries and onion rings are the perfect level of wonderful and late night greasy.

Perfectly crisp but fluffy fries notwithstanding, Jim’s Steak-Out is actually mediocre at best if you think about logically. The steak in the subs tends to be on the dry and crumbly side, but chicken fingers, doused in hot sauce yet crunchy-coated, are sublime. Sub construction is somewhat sloppy: not even the pleasantly chewy roll can fully contain its fillings. Whatever choice of oil & vinegar, mayo or bleu cheese dressing will be plenty to mix with stringy shredded lettuce and industrial tomato. Despite all this, Jim’s is there because there are times where only that sort of junk will do. It’s the sort of place that maxes out at 3 Unilocal stars, and that is what Jim’s shall receive.

The fact that the Allen St location has like 4.5 stars and this one has 1 should tell you that the previous reviewer is … confused. This location lacks some of the ambience, but the food is still delicious. I first tried the Stinger here, which is basically a combination of their two subs: chicken fingers and steak-and-cheese. You’d think it would be terrible, but no, it was a giant helping of delicious goo.
