I have seen Dr. Fretzin for years. I have been to several other dermatologists and I think he is the greatest. He is down to earth and has a very common sense approach. I see him every 3 – 6 months and there is never a long wait. He is the best!

Super nice doctor, but there were a couple of significant problems with what I thought was a simple cyst removal. This was quite a few years ago, but I still look at the scar every day and get p*ssed, and when I was searching Unilocal for something else, saw this doctor pop up. Issue one was that the anesthesia REALLY didn’t work. It was painful beyond belief and when I spoke up they said I was really sensitive… not especially, have had quite a few procedures as well as experiencing childbirth with no anesthesia! Issue two, which really has a lasting impact and just gets worse with every passing year… The cyst was on the outer side of one of my eyelids. At the time I didn’t even think of scarring, didn’t mention it. Such a small cyst! The doctor sewed up the opening and specifically pointed out what a great job he did with positioning of the sutures, so the scar would«blend» into my natural eyelid crease. I realized at the time that it certainly didn’t blend, and looked like a downturned parenthesis at my outer lid… but it wasn’t extremely noticeable at the time, and I had more important things to deal with, so I just accepted it. However with every passing year that damn downturned scar looks worse, accentuating my aging droopy eyes, and makes it nearly impossible to apply eye makeup in a flattering manner due to the hardened raised parenthesis dangling from my lid. Hello, most folks want upturned or at least even keel wrinkles and skin around our eyes; «smile lines», not downward droops! I guess I would just advise to the patient, as with everything else in life, ask a million questions and cover every base possible. You will have to live with the results.

Doctor Fretzin and his staff went out of their way to shift their clearly very busy office schedule to fit me in prior to shipping out for officer training a year or two ago, I’m immensely grateful for that. Additionally, he is a straight forward guy who will give you realistic expectations of what your options are and what kind of improvement you can expect. As a medical professional myself, it’s clear Dr. Fretzin is a knowledgable doc who knows what he’s doing. I see a lot of people here complaining about price, well welcome to medicine people.

I have been seeing Dr. Michael Fretzin for 10 years now, and I continue to see him even though I have moved far away to Chicago. He had done a great job on purely cosmetic items(like a filler for bags under my eyes). I also saw him for removal of suspicious moles, plantars warts on my feet, etc. He is really the nicest guy who won’t sell you anything you don’t need… well worth the drive.

My first visit to the office was by a referral from my mother, who has been to see Dr Glazer a few times in the past. My frist visit, i felt very rushed and did not get in all the questions I had. But, the medicine he prescibed me for my skin has worked wonders, so I wen tback for the follow up a few months later and to get my prescription refilled and Dr Fretzin was very personable. He asked me a lot of questions and took the time needed for the appt. I like him a lot, I think he is a very smart man but like most doctors, he is very very busy. So if you had a bad experience always allow for a second chance especially when the doctor knows what he is talking about!
