I am having terrible pain and soreness in my jaw, so when I saw my dentist at the Old Orchard Medical building, he recommended I stop downstairs and see the oral surgeon about having my wisdom teeth removed.
I saw Dr. Isaacson, who had a great demeanor and treated me well. He wanted me to have the surgery (obviously) but wasn’t too pushy about it.
The consult and x-​ray were VERY expensive and initially the receptionist said that my insurance would reimburse me, but after the appointment the medical biller admitted that was not the case because my wisdom teeth are not impacted.
So, while I did not appreciate the unexpected $ 250 expense, not a terrible dental experience and Dr. Isaacson seemed like a good guy.

I came here to get my wisdom tooth out. The receptionist was extremely nice and made me feel so welcomed. The facility is extremely clean, and very well managed. Dr. Dumanis is a total sweetheart, and really quick! Everyone there was nice. I definitely recommend this place (worth the drive).

I visited Dr. Barry Cherny on a recommendation from my dentist. A rear molar with a large filling had split due to age and use. Dr. Cherny was great about explaining the process, the pros and cons of the options, and answering any questions I had.
I chose general anethesia because I’m a big wimp, and it was money well spent. So much so that I was teasing Dr. Cherny about starting the IV. He was a pro, better than most ER nurses. 60 minutes later, I was waking up with my tooth removed and and implant installed. The minimal post-​op discomfort was easily handled with pain medication I picked up on the way home. Much to my surprise, I didn’t need any pain meds the following day.
Overall, the experience was way, way easier than originally anticipated. Dr. Cherny provided the confidence and skill, and set realistic expectations about the entire process. Great job! Thanks
