This place has deterioated over the years. Past two visits were not good. We had a club sandwich and wrap. Sloppily made… dried up over cooked bacon and too much lettuce. Usually the soup is pretty good but not this time. Will not be going back

If Unilocal allowed for negative stars, this would be one. This was our first and last visit to Buffalo Restaurant. Two adults and two kids for brunch. We thought we would try this place since it was on our way home from church. The service was horrible. The bus boy brought us water and a basket of stale, nasty bread and crackers. The waitress disappeared after taking our drink order and we did not see her for another 20 minutes. Another waitress finally brought our drinks and slammed them down saying the other waitress was busy. Our waitress finally appeared and took our order and then another tables order before putting in ours. Another 30 minutes and our food came — lukewarm and not tasty. My eggs tasted like fish. The bacon tasted like it had been sitting out for several days. My sons’ burger was burnt. My daughter’s spaghetti had no butter sauce. My husband’s hash browns were burnt and his omelette was cold. His coffee cup sat empty for 25 minutes before she filled it again. When she asked how was the food, I told her. She did nothing except apologize. We will not be back. How this place stays in business is totally beyond us.

Server was very nice. I dine here frwquently. Not any more. Ordered cold combo plate. Warm tomatoes. Dried out chicken salad. Room temperature for everything else. Told cashier(middle aged woman) when paying bill. She said she would go tell the kitchen. Really? How about saying I’m sorry? She had plenty of opportunities. I still hold have sent it back. Needless to say I will never go back there because she was such a bitch. Servers are great. Who ever owns Buffalo are a bunch of arrogant assholes. No wonder there are such bad reviews. I guess ice been lucky.

Maybe time for yet another new owner? The menu remains the same, but the quality is waaaay down. Food comes out cold… dry. The owners don’t seem to care. Back in the day, the previous owner would NEVER let a customer leave unhappy, they would comp the meal, complete with a buffalo sundae. These owners pretend they don’t speak English. The hostess, who has worked there forever is always apologizing for new policies: «sorry, extra dressing is .75»(are you kidding?) With that shopping center already ¾ empty, Buffalo needs to keep the neighborhood happy,

AWFUL! The food was absolutely terrible. There were four of us, and 4 out of 4 meals were not palatable. I specifically asked about the Greek marinade before we ordered and was assured it was oil based and not the gelatinous goo that cheap restaurants use. We ordered the house special of Greek style chicken breast and also a Grecian skirt steak for $ 20. They were terrible. The potatoes were ice cold, not even lukewarm and the rice was undercooked and covered my plate. I even asked the waitress if she was sure The owners were Greek ! The skirt steak tasted rancid with the goo also piled on top. We ordered a special burger that was dry with a stale bun and a house made turkey burger that was almost impossible to swallow. The waitress asked me if I wanted something else, but at that point it didn’t matter. We asked for our check and left all 4 plates there. $ 87 for a horrible meal. We will never go back. And on our way out, a Greek man and woman who we assume we’re the owners were standing at the register, neither one of them asked us how our meal way or thanked us for coming in. Not at word. Bad experience all the way around. The matzo ball soup was hard, I asked for house Greek dressing and got ranch and the waitress doesn’t clear plates. I could really keep going but it doesn’t matter. Doesn’t even deserve one star.

Positively awful. My husband, daughter, and I ate here on a Sunday night. The interior of the restaurant is old, drab, but we were okay with that as we were looking for some«home-cooked food.» We were some of the youngest guests by 30 – 40 years. Our waitress was pleasant, so this review doesn’t reflect on her. While she got our drinks and soups, an older group of four sat down behind us. The man turned around and told us we were«banging against the seat» and told us to «stop it.» We weren’t moving. So much for pleasant patrons. Our food arrived. Our daughter had ordered the chicken fingers. They were dry and missing half the breading. I, being a club sandwich oficionada, had ordered the turkey club. I choked down ¼ of it(super dry and taste-bereft), and my husband had ordered the pork special with gravy on the side. It arrived floating in gravy. So he returned it and they remade the order, this time without gravy. It was so dry, I felt sorry for him trying to choke it down. I’ve had more appetizing meals in hospitals and airplanes. I told the waitress the meal was terrible as well as the hostess. They smiled and told us to have a nice night. We will stay far away from this vile establishment.

This is your typical America diner fare place. I come here often and am always pleased with the food and the service. There is really nothing special about this place. It is just a nice, consistent place for eating brunch. I STILL have yet to try their ice cream though. One of these days…

Really bad service. Waited for 15 minutes to just give my order. No water service for 15 minutes. Plates were wet. Food is okay and ice cream is great but I will never come to this place ever.

Unfortunately, since the new owners have taken over this place has become terrible. Service is ridiculously slow, food quality has gone way down hill, and the«managers» don’t seem to care. My family and I used to go here a couple of times a month, but now will never return.

Stale bread, dried out corned beef, matzo balls denser than iron, slow and inaccurate service. How is this place still in business?!?

Tonight’s service was terrible. Two different servers approached our table. Got confusing cuz we saw the one first then the other and then the first one again. We ordered 2 cups of coffee as well as dessert. Dessert was excellent. However, as I mentioned before, the service was not up to par. The server only poured one cup of coffee for each of us and disappeared after she dropped off our sundaes. Wanted a second cup of coffee for the both of us after she finally returned. But, took forever and a day to get back to our table with the coffee pot. Too bad. Because I really wanted to enjoy tonight’s visit. And this is the reason why I’m only rating tonight’s visit a 1 star.

Very unpleasant food. Turkey was overcooked, chicken noodle soup was salty and the chicken undercooked. Bread was stale. Kids ordered silver dollar chocolate chip pancakes, and they got a plate full of pancakes with a literal pile of chocolate chips dumped on top. Only saving grace was the banana sundae which was okay, but the chocolate shake was more like chocolate milk. Service was awful. Server was rushing around and seemed bothered by her patrons. When we were ordering dessert, she actually snapped and said she had a lot to do implying we were wasting her time. Will definitely not return.

I grew up eating at Buffalo Restaurant(or, as my family always called it, Buffalo’s). As a child, I always had such warm memories of this place: friendly management, tons of ice cream creations, and consistently mediocre food. Over the years since new management has taken over, going to the Buffalo seems more like a chore than a treat. The waitresses are impatient to the point of near hostility, the bread is stale, and the food is a hit-or-miss. Most recently it’s been a miss. My family will still come here from time to come because it’s affordable and the portions are huge — with most entrees, you get a soup and a side. Regardless, we’re always left feeling unsatisfied. Asking for a refill on a drink here feels like I’m asking an ex-acquaintance to lend me money; I shouldn’t have to feel guilty for receiving service. If you’re going to get anything here, I’d recommend a matza ball soup with noodles in it. You really can’t go wrong here, and it’s generally filling enough so that you won’t need to order any other sub-par food.

I’ve driven past this place a number of times, and while the«ice cream parlor» part of the name beckoned me I didn’t stop in until last week. Upon walking in it is your typical diner with typical diner décor. The only real addition is the ice cream area in the back corner. Their menu is huge, there were a lot of options. As the adult child that I am I ordered the fried perch with mac & cheese which came with a side of soup(I ordered the mish mosh soup). They started us off with a bread basket, some of the breads were better than others, my friend really liked the muffin. The mish mosh soup was very good, it came with noodles, a dumpling, and a matzo ball. Very homey. The fish was okay, as was the mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was sort of oily but that didn’t stop me from finishing it. We finished our meal with some ice cream, they didn’t have all the flavors listed on the menu, but I was pretty satisfied with the ice cream. Overall if you are in the area looking for a good old diner experience, with decent food, this is a good place to do it!

I went here for lunch with my husband who works up north in Lincolnshire. The place is huge, typical of restaurants where you’d go for breakfast or lunch. It seems to draw an older crowd like 60s on up looking at the clientele at lunch. We went on a Thursday at 1:00pm and the place was packed. The menu had a lot of choices from salads to sandwiches to wraps to entrees. My husband and I both opted for sandwiches with a side of slaw. My tuna melt was good and so was my husband’s Reuben. The slaw was creamy, but unfortunately not much was given, just a little cup. Nothing stood out to me as outstanding but this place seems to be the big draw in this area. Not sure I will go back. So-so.

Used to love coming here! However, their food has gone way way downhill. The last time I came here was about a year ago. I went here recently and the food is either stale, burnt, bitter tasting, or soggy. I can’t remember what my friend ordered but he didn’t like it. I ordered the same thing I always used to order and it was unbelievably greasy. There was no flavor except the overloaded cheese and grease taste. The waitress was also incredibly slow and really didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. I think that’s definitely the last time I’ll be going back. The portions are good and it’s cheap so if you’re hungry, you’ll get full. Your tastebuds just won’t be happy.

My kids and I have decided that we all love this place! Excellent food Excellent service The portions are huge and the menu has a large selection. We would drive 30 minutes out of our way to go there because we know it’s good.
