I had a gobchang jungol which is their new menu. It was just like the one I used to have in Korea. Yummy Kimchi and jungol were so great together. They even put noodles and dumplings in it. Loved it. The service was also good. The lady checked on us many times and was nice to us. Everything is clean because it’s a new store. Im loving this place! The price is also affordable;)

beverly tofu shares space with bp grill. it’s in the same spot, just split up by a wall and walking space. bp grill is actually pretty yummy. beverly tofu is NOT. i went in to order take out for my parents and myself on a cold night. when i went in there was one table and another guy waiting for his take out food. i made my order and sat down to wait. i hear a lady, who i can only assume is the owner, yelling in the back about how you shouldn’t write down orders like that! it’s not that difficult to write down an order! i assumed someone had made a royal mistake because otherwise there is no reason for anyone to ever speak to another person the way she was. even with a mistake, one should never be spoken to like that. soon another couple came in and sat down. i am assuming the lady that took my order was trying to pack my food because by then i had already waited about 30 minutes. this is when i hear the same lady from earlier yelling again about how the lady should be focusing on the table that just walked in. not take out food. at this point i was boiling. what a bitch. if you are backed up, and i have to wait, i can understand. but i can not understand how she could be yelling at this poor lady just trying to do her job. i could hear everything at this point, and when my food was ready the lady who took my order apologetically handed me my food and let me know she gave me extra side banchan. i contemplated going back in and telling off the owner lady, but i didn’t want the worker to get yelled at anymore so i thanked her numerous times and told her it was okay and left. i will NEVER come back here. anyone that can treat their staff the way she did is not a place i’d like to support. seriously, fuck you lady.

Horrible. I was so excited because I love Beverly SDB but after my first bite all that excitement went straight down the drain. Figuratively and literally. It tasted like nothing and if nothing is not a bad thing I’m telling you this nothing was bad. Real bad. They must have just licensed the name because this ain’t no Ktown Beverly SDB!!!

I tried the assorted soft tofu combination with spicy pork bulgogi. As a frequent customer of Beverly tofu in Los Angeles I could say the soup base at Buena Park chain is considerably thinner and the flavor is less dense(comparable to BCD tofu). If you prefer thicker and heartier bowl of soft tofu I recommend you take your business to Beverly tofu in LA and Kaya restaurant in Irvine.

2.5 stars. Average pot of tofu, with many other better ones out there for comparable prices. Limited selection of ban chan, but they were ones I liked. Oddly, both my dad and I fell sick the next day, but he with a sore throat and me with a terrible stomach flu. So… yeah. Not sure if this place is the culprit, but seems a little suspect. I feel bad saying that as this is the first review, but people should be informed! My family has come twice just because they have a BOGO coupon, otherwise I don’t think we would have come back ’cause it’s just OK. We like Soy Tofu in La Palma better and you can’t go wrong with BCD!
