Went here on Saturday during lunch hour, got glazed chicken. I usually trust Unilocalers but this failed me BIG time. I posted a pic of the chicken. The meat is only 1⁄8 of the whole shape, the rest of it, you’re just eating carbs and the dough. Wth. Service was alright. First chicken piece I thought it was a failed piece but turned out to be every chicken piece I had, it was just dough dough and another dough. I am not from the area, I was super pissed and def not gonna go back to this place again. When you get into the restaurant, it smelled so fishy, it kinda grossed me out.

If you like spicy jampong this is the spot for you. The bowl is huge and enough for 2. You will be sweating as you eat. The owner is really nice and welcoming.

So delicious and the service was exceptional. Our waiter was the best! He was super friendly and fast! Everyone loved their food! I had the«drunk man fried rice» with a combination of shrimp, pork and chicken… OMG… It was so good and a little spicy… My only regret is that we live out of state. Oh… The area seemed a little shady… Don’t judge the food/place by this.

Food was ok. Nothing too rave about but good place to go if you’re hungry and just want a quick fix.

My bf picked up dinner from this place. We were looking for a place that closes late. Most of the places closes early around here. The food was really good even though it was togo. He ordered jjampong, chajang myun and sweet and sour pork. The seafood in the jjampong was really fresh. I can say this place is better then Paik noodles on Beach(Hmart plaza) but for the sweet and sour pork, the sauce had to much lemon flavor so that was a bummer.

This jjampong is one of the better ones out there. Large shrimp, mussels, clams, and squids. Good slightly spicy soup. Could use a little more spice. But some older lady at a table next to mine said it was too spicy. The glazed chicken is basically orange chicken. It’s not that special. Sauce for it is well made but the chicken coating is too thick(see picture below). The fried dumplings look good though. I heard the jjajjamyeong is good, but it’s like any other restaurant; nothing that would make you want to come particularly here for it.

Spicy noodle() was one of the best in Orange county. Sweet and sour() was a little different. It has more softness than I expected. It was good but I wish it is crunchier.

Friend suggested this place because he knows I love jajang myun. The jajang and sweet n sour chicken tasted tasted amazing. Jajang was reminiscent of the one I tried in korea and the chicken had a great chewy texture. Will be back to try the =D

I ordered spicy noodle soup and chicken. The soup was not spicy and tepid. Also, it was very greasy. And the chicken had a weird taste. It was like biting into a sponge. I heard so many good things about this place, but I think I beg to differ. I won’t be coming back here again.

Spicy seafood noodle soup = so delicious to the point where you don’t want to share. Can’t forget the fact that you get so much for the price you pay. Has a good kick in the flavor of the soup with tons of seafood. Black bean noodle = more on the dense side with less flavor but is a good comfort dish. I would come here whenever I have a craving for some good noodle soup!

Very yummy! Specially Noodle soup is deep tasty. And free yellow radish pickles are served. This restaurant is the only one restaurant I am satistfied with Korean chinese food in OC. The waitress’ service is also good.

Good Korean Chinese place to go in OC! We ordered jja jang myun, jjambbong and tang su yuk(fried sweet and sour pork). Portion was very big and jjambbong comes out in a very big bowl with lots of seafood that are fresh and tasty. The sweet and sour pork came out right away after frying them so it was very crispy outside and pork was tender at the same time. Jjajamgmyun was good too but it tasted just any other places. The reason why we order tangsuyuk is because they were out of fried sweek and sour shrimp. Next time we go, we must try gganpoongsaewoo.

The gahn jjajjangmyeon was fine, but nothing particularly drool– worthy. I was annoyed because I asked for more of the«decorative» shredded cucumber that comes on the dish, but the waitress gave us attitude! She didn’t respond when we asked, so we asked again with more humility, and she said, «why? How much? We only put a little bit on as decoration.» So rude and petty– and over not even a fourth of a single cucumber! The beef steamed dumplings were supposedly better than expected(according to others in my group who ate it). They also came out surprisingly quickly, and the waitres mentioned it’s because they had pre steamed it/cooked it before, and that they just reheat-steam it briefly when ordered. We didn’t get a refill on our tea, even though we asked. And no, they were not busy– more than half the room was empty. But the kimcheed radish cubes(kkakduki) was good. And it was a welcome alternative to just the sweet yellow Japanese style daikwon, which I don’t like because of the sweet flavor tinge and because it’s colored yellow with harmful artificial coloring. They don’t have beef versions of dishes, which was a problem for some people in my group because some people don’t eat pork. In general, they don’t seem to have as much of a variety of dishes. The other Cho Man Won location(also in Buena Park, in the Zion Market plaza off Beach Blvd, but under a different owner) had many more dish options. The cook at the other location, as well as the service, was markedly better. For example, at the other(now closed) location, when we asked the waitress for a vegetarian option of the nooroongjie ttahng(not chicken broth, but mushroom and vegetable broth), the waitress was not judgmental or impatient or rude about it; the waitress said she’d ask the cook, and the cook agreed, and they made a delicious vegetarian version. When we asked about it at this location, the waitress just lightly scoffed and said no flat out. Rude. There was an older, less casually dressed waitress(maybe owner or related to owner) who was very polite and friendly. She helped out here and there over the course of the meal. Her service was good and pleasant.

Fourth time coming here. Full house but food portions are really large and tasty. Got the jeng ban jja jjang myun which is a mix of jjambbong and jja jjang black noodles along with fried sweet and sour pork. Service was prompt and environment feels very much like a Korean home. Female servers feel like the Korean aunts that gives you way too much food whenever you go over their place. Honestly food does not come out fast, but this is not a fast food joint. It is definitely not slow however and you can see a glimpse of the food being prepared if you look towards the kitchen. Looks and tastes fresh. In conclusion will I be coming here again? Yes. I am stuffed. And be sure to bring a friend because it’s impossible to finish a dish alone.

Jaja myun(Noodles in black bean sauce): Really good flavor, kinda of smoky, which I really liked despite the overabundance of onions in the sauce. The sauce was more an onion relish with some black bean sauce in it, than a sauce with some onions in it. But in spite of that, I would order this again. Jampong(Noodles in spicy seafood broth). It tasted like a spicy ramen dish. The portion is very generous, but I didn’t think it was particularly noteworthy. Banchan(free side dishes): Consisted of pickled radish, radish kimchee, and raw onions. I didn’t care for the banchan here. Service: Good Interior: Basic. In a strip mall in a less busy area of town. Verdict: I would come back if I was in the area.

A lil spot where you can’t judge the food by the looks of this place. Food was very good. You get a little menu of like 12 items. And end up with super large portions that u just can’t eat alone. Fried dumplins were fabulous. U can come in wearing sweats & expect to be treated like royalty. Very casual w/plastic water pictures. I loved it

When my family and I first came in, they were rude from the start. They didn’t acknowledge that we came in until we had to wave to them that we were here. We weren’t given any menu and weren’t sure if the little pics at the table were what we were supposed to order from. As for the food, we ordered deep fried shrimp and the black noodle. The shrimp dish had a bit too much sauce I had to keep drinking water to dilute it. The black noodle was just okay. Terrible service and our server was so rude! We just ate quietly and left quietly but can’t say we left in a happy mood. Never coming again! :(

taste wise it does not beat wok-holic. quantity wise you get a BUNCH of food. jeng ban jja jang is basically a mixture of jja jang(bean paste) and jjam bbong(seafood noodle). it comes on a huge plate with a variety of seafood, veggies and pork. this plate is more than enough for 2 people. in fact i don’t think it’s possible for anyone to finish it on their own. you get all that food for $ 12.99 jjam bbong $ 8.99 was delicious at first but got less and less yummy as i progressed through the bowl. i ended up eating only half and throwing out the rest. glazed chicken. let down. it’s basically yang nyum chicken in bite sized pieces. was nothing special, and would probably never order again. should have ordered the tang soo yook instead. sad. they just did a re-vamp and re-opening so everything is really clean and bright. good for a quick in and out, but if you want really yummy chinese/korean food probably go elsewhere.

Not bad not bad. Their food proportion is pretty big! Got the large plate of black noodles and it was super big … Couldn’t finish it. But it had lots of seafood! The sweet and sour pork was all right. The service was good and the place was nice!
