Lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, nice varied menu. The spiced chai latte was perfect, as was the hand pie. Great for a quick lunch. Siri gave wrong directions, but we found it easily enough on the main street through town. Would be here all the time if I lived closer.

I would stop here every day if I could! Their vanilla latte is 50x better than the one from the chain with the green awning. Delicious!

Hoping another trip changes our mind. Went in at 830 and breakfast wasnt there yet,(tacos which are only served from 8 – 10), we couldn’t see any notes where they come from or that they were outsourced. No eta for tacos or alternative option offered. Drinks were crazy sweet, even the half moon that was recommended not to be sweet. These things could be overlooked except the lack of friendliness. Said good morning twice and none of the 3 girls responded. We left with our drinks instead of sitting while they chatted with a regular.

$ 4 — 12oz mocha moon latte was bomb. Also the café is beautifully decorated, cute and comfy furniture! Great place for a sit down w friend, or working on laptop

Break my heart. I hate writing this. Hopefully I can update it soon, but for now I give you 2 stars. Worst Summermoon latte ever today. The latte taste«burnt». So «burnt». I couldn’t even drink it. I go to the 1st St Summermoon at least 2x a week and have never ever had this experience. This is the second time at the Buda Moon this has happened. Again, I hope it’s a fluke — twice — because I’m moving to Buda. I don’t want to drive to Austin for a latte, but I may have to and that my friend gives you 2 stars.

Stopped in and asked for an iced americano, a juice and two sandwiches. I recieved only the americano, hot, then waited for my food and additional drink. 20mins rolled by, 30mins… When I finally mentioned the forgotten items the staff assured me that my order was coming right out. I stopped timing at 57mins. To add insult to injury, the barista who brought it out said, «I didnt ring you up for this…» And tried to double charge me. Ummmm, no darling. To conclude, my toddler then got food posoining throughout the night, hence me writing this at 4:40am. Summermoon… no, no BUMMERMOON.

This is a quaint coffee shop with amazing coffee. Their moon milk is addicting and they serve Wholy Bagels(the best bagels I’ve had since moving to Texas) and amazing hand pies!

Nice atmosphere, places to sit, lots of outlets, drinks, and nice baristas. This has all the things I look for at a coffee shop.

This place is hands down one of the best coffee shops ever! Once you have SM and then go to Starbucks, you’ll realize how terrible Starbucks coffee is. We love their moon milk. In fact, we buy the moon milk alone to put in our own drinks at home. I’ve gotten a couple other friends hooked in this place. We also love to buy their coffee for our own use at home. It’s about $ 13/bag. Slightly pricey — but you get what you pay for. It’s not some HEB type coffee. You can really taste the flavor notes. Perfect. I don’t think their breakfast tacos or quiches are that great :/I also don’t think their Belly rewards system is that great. I think they could do better in those two areas…

Meh. It’s okay. The atmosphere is wonderful and cute. It’s relaxing and there’s comfortable seating inside and sitting outside is nice where you can watch the cars go by. Parking isn’t fun on a busy day if you’re parking in the front. It can be difficult backing out. The cakes, cookies and other desserts are pretty good. I assume the ones making them make them for the café and probably sell them personally. They’re excellent and moist. I’ve tried Summermoon’s coffee near Dripping Springs at their food truck location. It wasn’t great. The coffee tasted burned which means it was a dark roast but tasted so so burned. I used to think this was an excellent flavor because it was so strong. As I began to try all kind of cafes and coffees, I’ve learned what makes a good coffee and when you bring two different roasts to people, what they ultimately choose and it’s rarely ever a dark roast and never a burnt taste. Still, people will choose a dark roast over the atmosphere. I chose their cold mocha drink and was asked how many shots, 3 or 4. I chose three since I was told that was the norm. I sat down and waited. I noticed they have a changing table in the bathroom which is excellent. Parents do not have to leave and change their kids in the car. So glad. The aqua paint on the wall is very inviting. The employees are very sweet and they offer bags of coffee to buy as well. My coffee was ready and I tasted a lot of sweetness to it. I was glad that I didn’t notice a Hershey’s syrup taste, not that they use it. I’m so glad since every time I’m near the Alamo and ask for a mocha coffee, I’m given a coffee that tastes like they dumped syrup into it. This was different. I drank it anyway as I needed some caffeine to get through the day. I think I’ll be back for the atmosphere but I do hope I can find a coffee of theirs that doesn’t taste this way and instead has a full coffee taste like Newman’s Own by Green Mountain. That is a rich and strong coffee flavor or Lula Savannah’s You can buy online or the Sugar Land Blend only found in Sugar Land with its roasted coconut. If you don’t mind that dark coffee flavor, Summermoon is great. If you do, buy something else off the menu. I think their cool thing is that they say they roast with an open flame. People think that’s neat and flock to them. As cool and different as that is, the flavor lacks.

The place is cozy and seems to be full of regulars, happily working away on laptops and chatting. The staff is really nice and on top of their game. The coffee was good. I would much rather support a local spot any day than a chain up the road. I’ll be back and look forward to sampling more of their drinks and what looked to be some tasty treats.

I’m a huge Summermoon fan. Today was the first day to visit their Buda location and I’m pretty upset. I’m upset that I waited an entire YEAR to visit this location! I feel as if I’ve reconnected with an old flame. One that ended because one of us moved away and not because one of us cheated. To be honest, in the year that I’ve been working in Kyle — I’ve been cheating on Summermoon with Starbucks simply out of convenience. My cheating ends today. The bond is still there and conveniently on the way to work. One thing I would recommend, for someone who overthinks everything and worries way too much, please take names for orders. Saying, «20 oz summermoon» may mean that drink sitting a few extra minutes because that person(ME) is worried that they’re stealing someone else’s drink. It also takes away from the experience when the consumer(again, ME) is having to take note of who ordered before they did and etc, etc. I’m looking forward to my morning commute. Thanks, Summermoon! That is all. :)

Quick stop the other morning for a pick-me-up. My friend(who is a huge fan) ordered for me. Now to preface this, I regularly drink my coffee black. No cream. No sugar. No syrup. No whip. I’m a simple man. He ordered us the Summermoon latte. Now how to describe the flavor… I guess…“magical unicorns of love and happiness dancing across your tongue” would be the closest I could get. The first sip transferred me to a place of pure bliss. I was utterly speechless. All was right in the world. There was no wrong on the planet. World peace was a reality. I forgot the meaning of the word«woe». I had no stress. Whatever magical secret ingredient y’all are putting in there, I need to know, cause I need 39 gallons of it. Now on a realistic avenue, it was definitely a sweetened, flavored coffee which is off putting to me. I will definitely drink coffee here again, but maybe at half sweetness. If you love coffee, nice baristas, a relaxed atmosphere, and magical unicorns dancing across your tongue, GOHERE!

Coffee Great out of a carafe! Probably the worst Miga Tacos I have ever had. Ordered 4 and the guy just throws them on the counter. asked another girl for a bag to carry them to my car. Luke warm dry Tacos with gummy tortillas. I Thanked them with no reply. Not one of the 3 workers were talking and communicating I’m assuming they were all mad about something. For you owners this was Saturday morning the 20th. This is not what I remember the owners establishing from the beginning. To be honest if it wouldn’t have been for the coffee, We probably would have choked to death on those dry tacos. We did make it to Bill Millers and grabbed a few tacos for our road trip to Houston.

Whatever they mix up to make ‘moon milk’ is heavenly. I probably don’t want to know because I imagine it’s condensed milk, evaporated milk and possibly some crack. On a recent road trip with one of my besties she started talking about this moon milk. Once we hit 5 p.m. traffic in Austin I said let’s go get some coffee and bypass this cluster f**k of traffic on 35! We hightailed it to Summermoon and both ordered iced coffees half sweet. If I remember correctly that is a half wintermoon. So delicious and creamy. I can’t see myself getting a full amount of sweetener because half was more than enough. While my friend went to the restroom the barista was chatting me up and gave me great directions to take some back roads through town and even drew me a cute map. I’ll be back the next time I am in town.

Given that Summermoon is my favorite coffee shop in Austin, there should be no surprise that I love this location as well. That being said, Buda location is so much nicer than the Austin location. Décor is beautiful, space is plentiful, and I feel like they had a better selection of baked goods. Still great coffee though, and that’s the important thing!

I love coffee! And I love this place! A friend recommend for me to try it so I stopped in when we were house hunting in the Kyle/Buda area. And I love the wintermoon latte! I also got some Moonmilk to bring home! I will be back to this location. :)

What a cute coffee shop. It’s got that Pinterest charm when you walk in. The prices are great and the coffee is good. I am just a regular coffee person so I can’t comment on anything fancy, but my friend had a latte and liked it a lot. They serve a small menu of breakfast foods and I got a miga breakfast burrito. It was very good. Better than I expected for a coffee shop.
