Stopped by to compare prices for flat screen monitors with the big box stores only to find out that they can’t touch Best Buy. What is it people still buy from Rat Shack that keeps these things open?

This Radio Shack occupies a former restaurant site across Villa Maria from H-​E-​B. As such, they have a limited selection. Also, there isn’t as much demand for electronics components, so Radio Shack diversified, stocking varying types of RC toys, audio systems, wireless & cellular phones. This store has 2 display cases of phones (1 for AT&T, and 1 for Sprint), but almost none of the rest. You can find coaxial TV cable and sockets, CATV in-​line signal amplifiers, some audio cables, a wall of iPod/​MP3 Player accessories, and a very small set of cabinet drawers for resistors, capacitors, etc. If you need these, say to impedance-​match speakers to output, you’ll need to go to Mid-​State Electronics Supply.
