My 1st time here & in love with all their gelatos(I know because I sampled every single one of them). If you want your mind blown their sea salt gelatos are what’s up.

Late night or after shopping treat. Indulge your sweet tooth and I mean indulge. They pile on the flavors and are always friendly. Also friendly on the environment this is the way treating yourself should feel.

Absolutely amazing Gelato place!!! I couldn’t believe it. You would think that these quality Gelato places would only be found in New York City. This is another gem in the town of Brunswick, Maine. The Gelato is made fresh everyday, and they make their own flavors. As always, there’s the standard vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavors, but then they branch off into flavors like Carmel Sea Salt, Cake Mix, Kit-Kat, etc. It’s absolutely worth it to return to try each and every flavor if you are in the Brunswick area.

Really great selection of flavors to choose from. They’re also super nice about letting you sample stuff before you choose. They also have other stuff to enjoy, like coffee and tea. A great space and I look forward to going again in the future whenever I’m in the area.

Great place, awesome atmosphere and the gelato is out of this world. Be aware however that they serve«bar» style and you’re not necessarily next even if you wait on line. If the one male who worked there bothered to take two mins to explain it would’ve been perfect. The young lady who did however is awesome and smiled the whole time and her energy is infectious. She should be the manager, if she isn’t already.

This place was such a pleasant surprise! I came here after dinner with my mom and brother not expecting to be able to order anything. Being lactose intolerant and vegan, my options at a gelato shop are typically slim. Not here! The girl with the black hair and glasses informed me that all of the sorbettos are vegan! She told me she was vegan as well and recommended the dark chocolate. I got a scoop of that, and a scoop of pumpkin. The flavors were incredible, and the texture was so rich and creamy-not icy or watery at all. The dark chocolate was fudgey and not overly sweet, and the pumpkin was the perfect balance of sweet and spice. Nice seating area, free wifi, and really friendly service. I look forward to returning whenever I am in Brunswick!

Holy Crap on a Cracker is this place DELICIOUS! Went here on a whim tonight after the people at work recommended it and I had a hankering for something sweet. Walked in and the place was buzzing. The energy in there was so relaxed but happy. The staff was friendly and super helpful. THEGELATO! I went in and was thrilled by the selection of favors. Everything from simple Fresh Cream to Sriachia Peanut. I chose to get 2 pints. A pre made one and a create your own. The pre-packed one was a Toasted Marshmallow S’mores flavor for the Hubby. The flavor was wonderful but because it was pre-packed it didn’t have that super creamy texture you love with gelato. I decided on a create you own pint of half Brownie Batter and Half Caramel Sea Salt. I almost went weak in the knees when I took a swipe right down the middle and tasted it. It’s so light and creamy and the flavor was amazing!!! Seriously the best frozen dessert I have ever had in my 33 years on earth. You are just silly if you don’t at least try this place. They have something for EVERYONE!

Best Gelato or ice cream ever. Rich and creamy and so full of flavor. Wild Maine blueberry is my favorite in all different varieties. It tastes like you are actually eating blueberries. The sweet Gelato is also awesome like the chocolates and chocolate chip cookie. Unlimited free samples. You can combine as many flavors as you want in any size cup. Friendly and very helpful staff who will explain any of the flavors. Huge selection of fresh, daily made flavors. Flavors change daily. I love the lavender, but I do not see it often. Plenty of seating inside and out. A must stop if you love Gelato or ice cream.

Wow! Simply the best. We need this place in California! I chose the malted iced coffee and the bacio(chocolate hazelnut). Better variety of flavors then you see elsewhere, and the creamiest gelato we’ve had by far! The staff are incredibly helpful and they have a nice outdoor seating area right in the old port-a must see!!!

Best gelato that I’ve had outside of Italy… Great texture and awesome, interesting flavors, with new options all the time! Some favorites are: sweet resurgam(burnt sugar and roasted almond with caramel and chocolate slivers), maple sap tap, almond butter chocolate chunk, bacio sea salt, double vanilla malt and today’s discovery: walnut! Their sorbettos are amazing too: blood orange, cranberry cherry and strawberry balsamic being some of my favorites. My husband loves the sriracha peanut, blueberry crisp and any flavor with candy. They’re also very generous and let you sample as many flavors as you like before choosing. Their red spoon reward program is also amazing — we almost always have a couple of gelatos«banked» with our account.

Ripe Mango Sorbet is the BEST I ever had! On our road trip to Boston, we stopped by Gelato Fiasco for a little break. It turned out to be the best decision we made! Upon arrival, I was so overwhelmed with the wide variety of flavors of gelato and sorbets. So many choices, what should I get? We see desserts version gelato such as tiramisu. Sorbet came in many, many fruit flavors. All gelato and sorbet are made freshly in-house and the menu changes daily. How it works here is that you choose the cup size or waffle size and they just fill whatever they can fit in there. Since I am not much of a dairy person, I went for the sorbets: Passionfruit, Strawberry Basil, and Ripe Mango. All of these sorbets are true to their natural flavor! Passionfruit is on the tangy side for ones who enjoy sourness. Strawberry Basil is light and refreshing. Ripe Mango was freakin’ AMAZING! Texture was so smooth and flavor was incredibly fresh. It really tasted like someone froze a mango and served it to me! Get it! My party enjoyed our break so much that before we left we had to ask if there are any stores in New York City. A staff member told us that it is possibly in the works. They offer home delivery from East Coast to West Coast and they do sell them in jars in certain chain supermarkets such as Fairway. Gelato Fiasco, we love you and see you back home!!!

Being lactose intolerant is the worst. I usually have five terrible choices. Choice 1: Eat the ice cream and suffer the consequences Choice 2: Don’t eat any ice cream Choice 3: Go to the grocery store and get the Lactaid brand that only comes in about 3 flavors Choice 4: Eat the ice cream made of soy or almond milk. Bleh.(sorry, I like the way real milk tastes, the alternatives mask the flavor of the CREAM) Choice 5: Sherbet Enter Gelato Fiasco(Cue the chorus of angels) For all my intolerant friends– Look to the red handled scoops! These sorbettos are not only lactose intolerant friendly but also vegan! I didn’t take an actual inventory but there appeared to be about 10 flavors to choose from. I sampled the lemon sorbetto which was seriously lemony and very light. Perfect for a hot summer day. But on this unseasonably cool, rainy night I went with the dark chocolate noir. The server was nice enough to ask if I’d had it before, just to make sure I could handle it, because it crazy thick. Like fudge. Do yourself a favor and get the«treat» size. Speaking of the server: Everybody was so nice! And that’s impressive for 30 minutes prior to closing. They were only too happy to let us sample whatever we wanted. And our scoop artist encouraged us to fit as many flavors as possible into the little cup.

ok I want to hate this place. It has to suck? Gelato? Maine? It’s like having great BBQ in Norway? Sorry Can’t do it… Gelato is awesome. Can’t beat this place. Better than I had in Italy… did I really just say that?

Coconut sorbetto. [mic drop] Okay, seriously, I’ve never ventured into The Gelato Fiasco because I didn’t think they had any dairy-free options but wow, was I wrong. On the day I visited they had a least six(maybe eight) different options. I think I tasted them all but my absolute favorite was the coconut. Creamy and rich but not too sweet, it was still dense like traditional gelato. Absolute 100% perfection! I also got a little of the lime which was equally wonderful. Delicious!

Let the five stars speak for themselves! The flavors I tried: Toasted Coconut: very coconutty but in an all-natural tasting way Lavender Rose: eh, the most forgettable. Sort of just sweet Sweet resurgham: interesting nutty flavors, I can’t tell if I like it Black currant: really refreshing, sharp contrast with the other flavors Turkish coffee: really distinctive coffee taste, almost mesmerizing. Are there off flavors? Yes. Does it depend on subjective tastes? Definitely. Basically this is «as good as it gets.»

Amazing selection of really delicious gelato. Take your time, check out the selection, and accept the very enthusiastic staff’s offer of a taste. There are some really interesting flavors(pomegranate!) and combinations that Gelato Fiasco offers — some work for you, some don’t, but you won’t know unless you experiment! They really pack the gelato into the cups, so even a small is a very healthy portion. Don’t be afraid to mix it up — my son always gets at least 3 flavors in a small dish. Gelato doesn’t seem to melt as quickly as ice cream so it doesn’t turn into a big blob of chocolate/mango/birthday cake goo. Or go with complimentary flavors, the chocolate noir and toasted coconut together are really delicious, like a gelato Mounds bar. Gelato Fiasco is a great stop on your way through Brunswick — easy to get to, clean bathrooms, excellent gelato, and amazing coffee. A cup of God of Thunder, made fresh in a Melita while you wait, will get you jazzed for whatever adventure you are off to next.

There’s a reason why this place has nearly 100 reviews and still has 5 whole stars– it is just the best gelato ever! I’m not exaggerating. Wow. Like, if one of these existed where I live, I’d be in big trouble.(My family went on a vacation to Maine this past week and I am unashamed to admit that we actually had Gelato Fiasco every day of the three days of our trip… Shhhh). The combination I got the first time was probably my favorite. They let you try any and all of the flavors you’d like, and the Thai peanut immediately grabbed my attention. After tasting it(rich, peanut-y taste with a spicy kick– yum!) I decided on a small cup of that and the Maine blueberry crisp. At first I thought it might be a weird combination, but then I realized it was actually kind of a fancy version of PB&J. They tasted really good together. A small is also plenty at this location– they are quite generous with their portions. Other standout flavors: toasted coconut, passionfruit, strawberry balsamic, sweet cream. You can’t go wrong. The texture of the gelato and the temperature it’s kept at are perfect. Even the coffee here is also outstanding, as is the service, which always comes with a smile. P. S.: Check out the hilarious«art» on the walls. The painting with the plaque next to it reading«Salvador Dali, Persistence of Gelatony, 1929» almost had me fooled.
