You know, I really hate writing bad reviews. Generally, I love this place. But today’s interaction with the male employee in glasses left me with a bad taste in my mouth.(And it wasn’t the coffee.) Let’s see, this happened on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. It was close to 2 pm, and I came up to see the guy talking, completely ignoring me. I don’t wait for him to finish his conversation, so I interrupt him with my order.(If you’re working at Starbucks, you might want to pay attention to your customers.) I ordered a short molten chocolate latte. The dude started saying how popular these drinks are, because Valentine’s Day is approaching. He’s like, ”Do you have a Valentine?” I’m like, ”Yes I do.” And he’s like, ”Oh yeah. What’s her name?” Uhm her? He proceeds to crack up laughing, along with the female employee, who says, ”Don’t mind him. He’s a clown.” Seriously? Why would he say HER in the first place? I’m a 24 year old woman, and I have a boyfriend. And even if my Valentine is another woman, why the laughs? And what business is his what the name of my Valentine is? This act was completely uncalled for and not cute at all. Starbucks, I love your coffee. But you ought to hire professional employees, not clowns! I come to Starbucks to get coffee, not to get laughed at. To the employee: Get a life. This is why you don’t have a Valentine.

Yes, it does get busy but who didn’t expect that? There are many schools nearby which means there will be many tweens/teens rushing to get their frapps after 130/2pm. It does get busy and loud but if you come here before 1pm, you might have a chance of getting a seat! The baristas are usually fine, like all people they too have bad days occasionally. My biggest problem is usually the people in the starbucks. I have noticed there are some people that will get there early in the morning and sit in the couches by window the whole day(I’ve seen it a couple of times!) It seems like some people are living there. There are also people that will come in with food from Dunkin Donuts or other places and eat in the starbucks.

This is such a poor implementation of the Starbucks idea, its quite sad: 1) Attitude: From the manager and down, most of the employees here have a terrible attitude. They are grumpy and snappy. If you don’t want to serve customers, then why would you work at Starbucks?!? This translates into terrible customer service in every area. The drinks, the cleanliness, the fighting with customers, etc. I have had to inform them of the refill rules on numerous occasions. 2) Bad Drinks: The drinks are not made correctly. Light americano, light iced coffee, extra hot late thats no extra hot, etc. Look at the other reviews for more stories of this. I could make more accurate drinks that this place. 3) Filthy: The entire store is filthy. Floors have papers and food remnants on them. Tables are never cleaned. Bathrooms remind me of park bathrooms. Expect puddles of who knows what and more papers littered throughout. Garbage’s overflowing. Dirty stir-sticks that make you wonder where they came from and how they could get dirty. Hope for a change here has fallen on deaf ears as no changes are happening here even after multiple complaints. My advice: Stay away from this store. Here is to hoping that the new Starbucks opening on Kings Highway and flatbush can learn from the lessons here.

your typical starbucks. always busy. always packed with people sitting on their computers sucking up the free wifi. i usually order on the app and pick up here. my drink is usually ready by the time i get there. i order when i’m ~5 min away. some of the customers are really rude so that’s unpleasant to hear while you’re just trying to wait on your drink

I don’t see why there’s such a low overall rating! I think this location in terms of lighting and seating is really good compared to other Starbucks that can be really dark. They have few outlets around the store — not many but still better than other Starbucks I have been to. Honestly, their staff is pretty friendly in my opinion. Food and drinks taste fine. The sausage egg and cheddar is better than that from the City locations. I like it. No problems for me. I will say there is an influx of high school or junior high school kids who get a little rowdy around 3:00PM but they don’t stay for very long(thankfully).

Things just keep getting worse and worse don’t they? I came here for a drink with my boyfriend today since he suggested it. I ordered a caramel macchiato as usual… except that isn’t what I got. I got a cup of hot milk. At least that’s what it tastes like… and on the way to my boyfriends house, we decided to look into the cup. What do you know? Not a hint of coffee. Congratulations to me.

I have to say I was so excited when this location opened up. The décor is phenomenal, all wooden. The builders took every ounce of love and put into this café! I love the couches by the window, it has a nice comfy feel to it. There are long tables for business meetings and a line of bar stools in case no more seats are available. It is very hard to get a seat unless you get there early or very late at night so be prepared for that. The wifi is usually on tact so I like to spend time studying. I’ve never had any issues with the baristas, my drinks were always on tact. It can just be daunting that some people who frequent the café are a bit crazy, unsanitary or drinking but it’s gotten better If you ever need recommendations for drinks look for Patrick, he makes the perfect drink with the right amount of caffeine based on your preferences! He also connects with all the customers. All in all kings highway needed an established coffee house besides Dunkin! P.S try the peppermint white mocha, a little sweeter but worth it for the holidays!

Not impressed with this Starbucks at all. The baristas messed up my order three times: fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I’ll never go back there again. I understand the lack of seating availability in Starbucks but they allow homeless people and the elderly take naps there! Awful.

Update: 02÷14÷16 It gets worse. Now they are playing annoying KTU radio. Unilocal should allow to rate with negative stars Staff needs to get their hearing checked. They don’t know how to use their POS. Maybe it’s a lack of training

Was happy to find a Starbucks on Kings Hwy until I went in. Filthy, dimly lit, guy making drinks had the personality of a chair. Doesn’t anyone ever clean the area with the milk and sugars. I think I saw the manager just leaning up against the counter(guy with long colored hair) just oblivious to the crappy customer service experience they provide.

seriously got a bad experience with the cashier there today. I told her can U make salted caramel latte she said yes. I double check with her not the Mocha one. she said yes again. when I got my drink it came out the exactly what I not want to– salted caramel Mocha. I told the maker I want the latte no the Mocha. they keep saying yeah it is salted caramel Mocha latte. if U dont understand what is Mocca what is latte just ask or to be honest I could change my mind order other thing. this is my first time to drop the starbucks in the trash not because it is not tasty but the disappointed with the service and understanding of coffee. It happened at 6 pm September 19th. I dont usually write such long words to complain. life is beautuful with a slip of coffee bean, but today U make feel bad. and U called my name totally wrong. my name is Keira but they spell Hariett who is that. Sorry I dont understand can U speak English and write it?

#letmypeoplepee Men and women’s bathrooms separate with a sign of a of a person with pants on one and a person with a dress on the other. single stall with a lock on the door. This causes stress needlessly. If they both were all-gender restrooms or multi gender, then we wouldn’t have this issue. Starbucks is generally a good option for Trans people but not here. I’m Trans and I’ve decided that I will start a campaign to rate the gendered bathroom access that is safe versus those that could use a little more effort making the experience of the most basic need where we are most vulnerable safe for people of all gender expressions, identities, and presentations. Got pastries to go

First off all the lines are long just to say what you want and too say your name I’ll take a minimum of 10 mins and then another 10 for making you a coffee this place is always overcrowded you can’t find a spot, the décor is ok and the location is busy, but it doesn’t taste bad

If you like your Starbucks with an attitude this is the place for you. We come here on a regular basis and only thing that is consistent is the bad attitude of all the staff working here. If I could give zero stars i would… corporate should be aware of how things are run at this location and make some quick changes, because there are plenty of options in the area to get your morning jolt.

Really depends what time you come here. I’m usually here on Mondays or Tuesday from noon to 3pm. This the the busy time. Not only do you have students, but you also have workers that are stressed out with hundreds of orders. I never have a problem with the staff(some are nice, some aren’t), it’s usually the Starbucks coding with rewards and stars that bother me. Every time your using a lucky dozen reward, you have to explain it to them, sigh. Yes, I agree with the slow lines– I usually wait a minimum of 5 minutes to get my order once I place it. There are never seats available, probably cause the seating are too close together and people put their coats on the seats next to them.

Just like a typical Starbucks chain This store has a spacious layout where there are common tables. Outlets is provided so you can just sit there and study or do whatever work you need to do. I myself is guilty of this. I usually come here when I really need to study and it helps if you have a reward card for free refills while you are there. Employees are constantly under stress from customers but they still give 110% of their energy while they work there. It is pretty clean too compared to the Starbucks in Manhattan. I do wish there are more chain in the sheepshead bay area considering the next closest one is at brighton

If you’re accustomed to Starbucks in Manhattan don’t bother going here unless it’s the evening/late afternoon. I transferred to this area for work and it is, by far, the worst. If I hadn’t been going to Starbucks for the last 15 years I wouldn’t visit this location at all. The self-service bar is normally covered in sugar, coffee, and wrappers. The customer service is inconsistent during the day(jus never know how you’ll be treated), but much better towards the evening(almost like any normal Sbux). They also work quite slow(minus a handful of employees) which is probably why the lines are always so long and the barista section is almost always messy.

You want super slow service and employees that don’t give a crap about what they do? Then by all means, come to this ‘bucks and enjoy the lackluster service and crappy employees! I’ve never seen anyone act so miserable and take crap pride in a cup of coffee, at a Starbucks, before in my life. Be happy you jerks have jobs. Start acting like it.

3stars for the stupidity when it gets busy they will have 2 people taking orders and only one person making the drinks, it backs up the entire line and doesn’t take much brains to figure it out that putting 2 people to make the drinks and one person taking orders makes more sense. Starbucks workers are trained to ask for your name and when your drink is ready they call out your name, at this location they will ask you for your name but will not announce it, they just say the name of the drink which people tend to forget and makes it more confusing. Why even bother asking for your name? Bottom line they need to be retrained
