Although the new renovations are great, the people that work there NEVER get orders right. No sugar, they give you sugar. Ask for a croissant, they give you an english muffin. It’s frustrating when I walk 3 blocks there and then back get to my apartment and it’s not what I asked and paid for.

Let me start by saying that this location is super convenient since its by the B and Q train lines. Their coffee is okay in comparison to some other locations, but this is as far as it goes. I have been experiencing some problems with them, they tend to forget to put my bagels in(if I order more than 1, and when I come to tell them that they take off 30 cents from my next order). They work very slowly, usually the people in the back take forever to get the coffee. This past Monday(July 22, 2014) I ordered a chocolate chip muffin and Iced Caramel Latte and went to work, by the time I was more than half way through my(medium) cup I realized that there was something metal in my cup. I went to spill the remaining coffee in the garbage and uncovered a SCREW in my cup. It was about 1 inch long and thankfully I have been drinking through the straw so it didnt hurt me. When I called up this branch, the so called manager told me that they are not missing any screws and offered me either another cup of coffee or a refund. Im sorry but this location is TERRIBLE. Although this location is super convenient, but after what happened this week I will not go there again. I also think that they should get a better staff, or at least more people.

I’ve been going to this place ever since my job moved to this location. Also, the best part for me is the distance from my job. I know all the workers, new and old. I had a high school friend who worked here but sadly she left to go back to her country. I miss her so much! Every time I come here they know exactly what coffee I want, and how I like it made. I guess I get the higher advantage since I go here all the time. I usually come in the morning to the afternoon since I know who works there. The night crew is usually just one guy, and the last time I had to go there at night this guy looked miserable just being there. Tell you honestly, the coffee at night isn’t the greatest and should be avoided. Whenever I want to treat myself to a donut, I normally just get a Boston cream. I took my niece here once and she didn’t like the French cruller which is her favorite. So I ask them to just heat it up for me whenever they have any French cruller left. A pastry or a dessert does eventually get dry when its left out and all you have to do is just heat it up for 10 – 15 secs and its perfectly fine. I don’t know why DD doesn’t cover up their bakery goods in general, you know flies do like sugary treats too! Also, I sometimes get a Blueberry muffin for my boss and I always tell them to heat it up. Again, no one likes a dry pastry so just toast it! Trust me, its good! Don’t add butter! They charge for that! Heating or toasting is free!!! I can understand why people would complain about the cleanliness of this place, it is next to a subway and bus stops. There is a lot of foot traffic here! I see they mop the floors and clean the counter tables at least a few times a day. When it gets busy, they get swamped by the customers and they can’t always keep the place clean 100% of the time. It happens you know. I prefer this place then the other places on Kings Highway. I hate going to a DD when you see nothing but old people sleeping on the tables, and the younger generation gossiping like there is no tomorrow.

This place is the size of a walk in closet. In and out customers only, there is no seating, and barely any room to wait on line. Conveniently located right off the B/Q stop @ the KINGSHIGHWAY station at East 16th and Quentin. Great, busy spot for them. Sometimes I feel like the workers are overwhelmed and they can’t handle all their customers. There is always a long wait, and it takes them long to make my coffee.(which usually tastes like dish water unless they put some heavy cream in) I usually drink my coffee black or with a hint of skim milk and no sugar, but I know better when i come here, that it’s a must to get it with cream. I do come here very frequently almost every other day, despite my complaints. I’m a creature of convenience and habit. Meh. I’ve experienced better. As we Unilocalers say.

This location is very dry and small. Oh, and it is very dirty. Besides all of that you would think the donuts are at least eatable. Ha, they are equally dry. Overall, sucks!

I ordered an iced coffee(french vanilla) and it tastes like flavored water, coffee here hot or cold is horrid!

The place it a little bit too small and overcrowded because it located right next to the subway. The rest is the same as in any other DD.
