Like their dessert ideas, but the quality of most of their items were not that great with the exception of the pudding which was the only item that was very good. Their ice cream crepes & drinks are a bit mediocre. Customer service is not that great as well, and I have to agree with other Unilocalers that the staff does not appear to be that friendly. Maybe because they are overworked, but hoping that their customer service abilities improve eventually. Décor is alright, and the shop is small(left side of area when you enter the shop) w/very little seating in the back area. In addition, the space(on the right side) is shared with a traveling agency/cellphone shop, which I also found to be peculiar but I can understand because rent in New York is quite expensive(so why not share the rent?).

This place is definitely not worth your money! Don’t waste your time. Came here around 1PM and although there were no orders before ours, we still had to wait approximately 10 – 15 minutes for 4 drinks. The customer service here is extremely horrible. The lady that took our order kept questioning back at what we ordered as if what we were asking for was not from their menu. We wanted 2 orders of HK style milk tea and she responded with«We only have 1HK Style Milk Tea left.» We all looked at her like wtf you mean you only have 1 left… Then, we said we wanted a Lychee SLUSH and she looked at us as if they don’t serve slushes. Then, we wanted to add cotton candy/tapioca to our drinks; she responded to us in a tone that made it seem like she thinks we couldn’t afford the additional 50 cent for tapioca or $ 1 for cotton candy. While waiting for our drinks, we saw her make a taiyaki for one of the customers. She said in Chinese, «I think this is a bit burnt.» to the other worker and yet she still continued to serve the taiyaki to the other customer. Aside from customer service, my friends and I all think their drinks are bland. The cotton candy seems nice and all but it’s extremely annoying to eat/enjoy. They literally just swirl cotton candy onto their wand and take the cotton candy and attach it onto your drink that has been sealed. I will definitely not be coming back to this place again!

Underwhelming experience. I would only go here if I had nowhere else to go. The fact that one third of the shop is travel agency, one third is an electronic shop, and the other third is this café throws me off. I got a pineapple green tea($ 3.50) with cotton candy(+$ 1) just for the picture. The drink was okay, I didn’t get much of a pineapple taste, and they just plop the cotton candy on top of the drink. Remove the cotton candy, and it’s just any other drink. The girls behind the counter weren’t very friendly, and just stared at us without saying anything until we ordered. The seating space is a bit cramped to get into, and I’m not that big of a person. Oh well, at least they have a bathroom.

People mainly come here for the bubble tea with cotton candy on top. While it is a nice gimmick that makes for a great photo on Instagram, the matter of fact is that the bubble teas don’t taste that good. I got the Hong Kong style milk bubble tea and the taste was all wrong because they use powder to make the bubble teas instead using actual black tea and condensed milk. You can tell the taste is off just by looking at the color of the«tea» itself. The bubbles were ok though, not too hard and not clumped together. I haven’t had cotton candy in a long time and getting to taste it again was great. However, I don’t think it’s worth the extra dollar on top of the price of the drink itself. Some people complain that the cotton candy makes the cup and their fingers sticky but I didn’t find that to be a problem, probably because it was like –10 degrees outside and there was no way the cotton candy could possibly melt. As for the place itself, it shares a space with a phone service company and a traveling agency and there’s a cute little space in the back where you can sit down and enjoy your tea. The server was alright. I hate to say this but I honestly don’t think this place will last long since I was the only one in there the entire time and because I overheard the servers complaining about how boring their jobs are since there are barely any customers. Paid $ 4.50 for my drink which is overpriced IMO. Well, I already got a pic of the cotton candy drink so I probably won’t be back.

This place was introduced to me by my friend who came here often. She love the drinks here and suggested me to try it, so I did and it was mediocre. This store is shared by a cellphone store and surprisingly, they have room to fit a small seating area in the back. I walked in with no one greeting me(one star taken away) and was disturbed by the fact that they had 2 menus. One was their regular paper menu and a medium sized menu on their table. I’d expect more menus because if a customer wanted to keep one for future uses, there wouldn’t be any menus besides the one pasted on the counter. I didn’t like how they designed their cashier table, because if you’re short like me, you’d actually have to reach over their computer to pay for your drinks.(Another star taken away) Now onto the drink. I got a hot milk tea and it tasted like regular bakery quality milk tea. The color of the drink literally looks like the Nutella hot chocolate I usually make at home. Not to mention the bubbles, their bubbles are smaller than the ones from other bubble tea places and they were all stuck together.(Third star taken away) Like I said, bakery quality. I wouldn’t blame them for their quality because it opened no long ago, but damn, I paid $ 3.5 for something I can get for cheaper. The cup was also like the regular bakery cups, like come on, there’s yayas and kungfu tea at 86st, you can do better than that. Im hesitating on whether or not I should still come back to try their fruit flavored drinks, but because of this poor visit, I don’t think I can expect any better from this place.

After seeing a picture of the hong kong silk stocking milk tea on Unilocal,I got all hyped up thinking I will actually get some legit HK silk stocking milk tea. However, when my friend asked if they actually make their HK milk tea with silk stocking, they said no and that they use powder. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! =((The photo has been taken down from Unilocal now.) The milk tea was nothing special. However, the cotton candy was yummy. Overall, the only highlight was the cotton candy.

Mr. and Miss Café is a «café» set up in a spot shared by a travelling agency and a cellphone retailer. Don’t be put off by that though, if you solely pay attention to the left side where the café is located, you’ll have no issue sitting in its little«picnic garden» in the back, which was super cute and had comfy foot stools. I’d seen this place on social media as putting cotton candy on top of drinks and ice cream. So we had a passion fruit bubble tea(sweet but yummy) and green tea ice cream in a cup(they were bewildered at the cup idea but they did it!) and it was so fun. It wasn’t really the best ever, but it’s just a fun idea and definitely worth visiting after eating at many of the wonderful restaurants in the area.

Décor of the place was super cute but the desserts leaves much to be desired. OREOCREAMCHEESECAKE– 2STARS too sweet and the cookies and cream tasted kinda weird. DANCINGFRUITSCREPE $ 6.50 — 2STARS the crêpe was very chewy and hard to break apart. I think this has to do with the mix they use. This is supposed to come with kiwi, peach, strawberries, and chocolate hazelnut but there was no kiwi in this and the chocolate hazelnut, which is supposed to be Nutella, tasted only of chocolate sauce. Most crêpe places I have been to slather a lot of Nutella but it’s not the case here. The crêpe was rather lacking. NOTE: I won’t be coming back here again even though the place was super cute and decorated with ghibli figures around the shop.

Cute little place on 86th Street, and I mean little. There is an area to sit with a few people but I feel as though it would’ve made more sense to expand with all the things this place has to offer. For all of those Unilocalers, Instagramers, and Tumblrs who love to post pictures of the cool items they eat/drink, this is the place for you. The desserts look very pretty, however, I did not get to try them because I came right before closing and they had limited selections. I did however get their iced coffee with jelly(extra $ 0.50) and cotton candy on top(extra $ 1.00). The cotton candy was over the seal of the coffee and they give you a glove to eat it with so that you do not get sticky fingers. The coffee was alright, really nothing special. Definitely didn’t have much caffeine if any at all, but I wasn’t expecting it to be anything WOW. I might return to try some of their desserts and update this review soon.

My mom and I came here to try it a second time. We decided to get something hot to drink since it was quite chilly outside. My mom got the milk tea and I decided to try the lavender special. We also ordered the korean style pudding and the green tea cheesecake. My mom liked the milk tea but said it’s kind of too sweet. I so loved the lavendar special tea! It tasted sweet and you can totally smell the aroma of lavender. The korean style pudding was delicious! We loved it! But the green tea cheesecake was lacking in sweetness. My mom totally hate it. I just said it doesn’t have any sweetness. There was only matcha powder flavor and not much cream cheese flavor. The macaron that was given with the cheesecake tasted great though.

This place is adorable! They add cotton candy on top of the drinks and ice cream. Longan Honey Milk Tea– Deliciously sweet! The longan flavor was subtle. It’s $ 2.50 for medium and $ 3.50 for large(50¢ off with an order of a crêpe). Dancing Fruits Crêpe– Slices of strawberry, banana, peach, and kiwi. Filled with nutella and whipped cream. It was pretty good!($ 6.50)

This is one of those cafes where you pay for the appearance and not the taste. My cousin got the snow red bean with the cotton candy(duh), they filled the whole cup with milk and ice just with a scoop of red bean. pretty simple drink for over $ 4 imo. I got the taiyaki(the fish waffle thing) with green tea ice cream, they also stuff some red bean and a marshmallow in the fish too. Man that thing is filling! Not the satisfying coach laid back filling, the fish waffle was definitely made from a massive amount of flour; a few bites and my stomach felt bigger already. I think this is a cute spot to end the night with, but taste wise; meh.

I decided to stop by here with my cousin since she was visiting me in New York and she LOVES cotton candy and we happened to be in Brooklyn one day. Mr and Miss Café shares its space with a phone store and another store in the back, which is a little strange and we felt a little awkward upon entering. The girl who assisted us was very helpful, especially since it was our first time there. The menu was pretty short and sweet. My cousin and I ordered the taiyaki with green tea ice cream. It was okay, nothing too extraordinary. We also had passionfruit green tea with lychee jelly and cotton candy, which we really liked. My cousin liked the cotton candy more than anything, of course. I loved the drink as well as the cotton candy. It was quite refreshing and the lychee jelly was delicious. Unfortunately, it isn’t convenient for me to come by. It’s a shame there isn’t a location in Manhattan.

This girl is knocking off her fifth bookmark this month. This little shop here offers a huge selection, which is really impressive since it shares its space with a phone agency. I don’t know how they managed to store all their supplies but thats beyond me. After losing a table tennis match against the undefeated school, I decided it would not be too cold for ice cream. The outside was made of some flour shaped like a fish, which gives it a chewy texture. Inside, there’s really savory red beans with mochi. Then it is topped off with two scoops of ice cream. 3 stars… very creative and enticing. needs more filling. ice cream scoops can be bigger to match the cone ratio. limited ice cream flavors. I did not try their infamous cotton candy bubble tea. Instead I tried the ice cream cone enwrapped in layers of cotton candy. Again, two scoops of ice cream of your choice, topped off with a cookie. 3 stars… creativity and aesthetics are their strongest assets. very fluffy texture. nothing really special. perhaps, could use some dressing Service was great! My friend actually dropped her scoop of ice cream when she was trying to take a picture for instagram. How clumsy. But they offered to give her another scoop for replacement with zero charge.

Wide selection for the limited space which is quite impressive. The café takes up about a quarter of the store front. Cotton candy on top of your drink is such a novelty and it’s quite enticing. however it’s not very practical. It leaves the cup extremely sticky and ultimately your hands sticky. I got the red bean milk tea with cotton candy on top(above and around the sealed cup for $ 1 extra) and my hubby got the passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly. Both drinks were really sweet even though I asked for less sugar. My cup was dripping liquid sugar after eating a bit of the cotton candy. Then my cup was uncomfortably sticky.

This is like a hidden place. If it weren’t for their black chalk board sign outside, I wouldn’t have known this is the place to get your cotton candy drink. First of all, the setting. It is extremely cute when you were walk in and see all those plant decorations on the shelves and the hanging plant bubble vases. However, when you walk to towards the counter, on the right you see this traveling agency there. It ruined the cuteness of the place. When you walk even further into the store, you’ll see a cute seating area. It’s very spacious and simple. The food and drink was terrible. I had the chocolate marshmallow crêpe and the H.K. style cold honey lemon tea drink. with cotton candy on top The chocolate marshmallow was very bad. The crêpe itself tasted very rubbery. The marshmallow was just placed in between the folds of the crêpe. It was extra rubbery. The only thing that was alright was the one scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle. The toppings it came with was stale too. The drink itself was bitter. Nothing tasted as good as it looked.

After hitting up Sake, I did not have enough appetite for dessert. I decided to walk around with the bf and then come here since it is right next to Sake. I am so glad I did, the drinks here are good. I got a taro smoothie and the bf got the passion fruit flavor. I really wanted to get my drink with the cotton candy, but I am not a big fan of it and I would most probably just want it for the picture. I settled on a dessert called taiyaki with cookies and cream ice cream inside. It was so good! My only complain is that it comes in a paper container and it was a mess in trying to eat it. You need a plate for this kind of food, but the presentation was very cute so I am happy. They share the room with a cellphone store, but they have a small sitting area with 3 tables and just like the food it was very cute.

First of all, I like their choice of novelty menu. But only my expectation was too high. I was expecting the taiyaki to look a lot like their display but They look very different. The taiyaki they serve had too little red bean filling compared to the size of the fish. I ordered a scoop of ice cream with taiyaki and the ice cream was completely inside the fish when I got it. In addition, the cotton candy could make your fingers sticky. It’ll be nice if they give wet wipes to people who ordered cotton candy. The décor was good but could’ve been better.

My friend and I stumbled into this place after dinner. She went the norm and ordered the milk tea with tapiocas. I went all out, I ordered the coconut flavored milk tea with cotton candy. While we waited for our teas, we checked out the cool décor. Half of the shop was decorated with ikea tables and little pots of succulents. The cashier messed up our order by putting the cotton candy on my friend’s drink. It was after I ate that sucker that we realized there was a mixed up. No biggie! The cashier just made me another coconut milk tea topped with a bigger fluff. Will I be back? Heck yeah! Bring on the nostalgic feeling when you eat that pink and yummy cloud of sweetiness.

Was actually planning on going to Yaya until I walk by and saw this place. Turns out they share the store with 2 other businesses so there is not a lot of space inside. A bit disorganized since they open recently. Also doesn’t help that they have 5 people working behind the counter. The area is quite small and everyone is running back and forth trying to take and make orders. Seem really hectic. Currently have a buy 1, get 1 free deal. Their drink menu is front and center, on the counter right by the door. You can have a ball of cotton candy on top of your drink for an extra $ 1. I ordered the peach, pineapple, passion fruit green tea, and coconut milk tea with lychee jelly for $ 5. Seem like they only offer either lychee or mango jelly since I wasn’t given a tapioca option but pretty sure they have it if you ask. Also not a big fan of their caps for the cups because it causes leakage if you tilt it just a little bit. They did explain they use a cap instead of sealing the cups so they can put the cotton candy on it(assuming you pay for it). I also bought a oreo cheesecake for $ 3.50. The ratio of cream to cake is 2 to 1. They should make it half and half since the cream was a bit overwhelming. They should have a big board listing all the items they are selling because I did not know they sell anything aside from drinks and cheesecakes until I read on Unilocal they also sell crepes. There is seating in the back, in case you thought this is a buy and go type of place. I can’t wait to go back when they have everything organized and the menu is updated.
