Everyone told me to try this place because it’s better than the sushi buffet next door but I honestly didn’t enjoy what I had. It wasn’t as good as people said it would be. The customer service was terrible because they were unfriendly and the sushi rice was definitely not fresh and neither were the ingredients.

A place that is never friendly when it comes to their food price. Tokyo Roll was one of the fines rolls that I ever had. Never had any complains about their rolls here because its on the top level of deliciousness. Sushi buffet was really something to consider, on the different level of freshness of sushi. Love the food on this place but not their food price.

We have ordered from here a few times in the past and the sushi has been pretty good. The prices are good too considering they do buy one get one free. HOWEVER, we have attempted to order twice in the past couple weeks and have been told they cannot deliver. I asked the guy if this is a new no delivery policy or what? He said«I’m not sure.» This annoyed me so he clarified, saying that it’s too busy and he can’t send someone out right now. Basically, it means if they’re busy, they won’t deliver. I don’t have time to see if they can or cannot serve me, I’m taking my business elsewhere. It’s annoying and disrespectful to your customers — you either deliver or you don’t.

I love this place and I think it’s a hidden gem. I always go there for lunch and it saddens me to see that they aren’t as popular as Sake. I love their Pad Thai so much and I also like their house special roll deal.

A little disappointed considering I have been here for so long. I will have to give them another try sometime in the future. Oh Sho is your typical AYCE pricing & rules. In the past I would have given them four stars. Today, they lost a star because Oh Sho does not deliver. I have called here twice within this last two weeks and it seem they only pick up and dine in. They have to update their menu and website. I have a like/love relationship with the food. Maybe because I am unable to let go on how the food use to taste. Today we ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Fried Oyster Roll, Tokyo Roll, Samurai Roll and Dancing Eel. The chicken pad thai lost the amazing flavors that it once had. It seem like they forgot to put the sauces into the dish. The chicken was dry and the noodles was bland. The sushi was nothing special and nothing to rave about. Since Oh Sho became an AYCE, it not the same as it was in the past.

Horrible do not go here. The drinks are all straight from the package. It doesn’t taste like any of the desired beverages. The rice on the rolls doesn’t come seasoned with vinegar etc. My miso soup came cold and bland. The presentation is cute, but other than that no no no.

I ate in both Sake and here. People, hate to break it to ya but they are the same! They are both average quality, they both serve cheap sushi. They both do not taste more than what youve paid for it. Now if you want really got AYCE sushi, go to Shinjoku on Sheepshead — same price better sushi.

I actually came here because Sake was full… When I first walked in, we weren’t greeted with a happy face… We came just as they were going to switch the signs from lunch to dinner. You check off items on a paper for AYCE Pros — price — appetizers! They were really really good, I would come here for AYCE appetizers: P But it wouldn’t be worth it because I came for the sushi — california rolls Cons — waiter/tress wasn’t attentive to my water needs and I had to wave them — they didn’t use sushi rice(rice with sushi vinegar) & used too much rice in all the rolls & sushi — rolls were sloppy — squid had a fishy taste(I know seafood is «fishy» but FRESH seafood shouldn’t have this taste) — salmon was grey-ish in color — had a lot of bugs flying around(a sign of unfresh seafood) Overall, would not recommend because even though the appetizers were good, the overall experience left me sick in the stomach. :((Disappointed.

been a loyal customer of oh Sho for nearly 8 years when their first small cozy spot opened up on stillwell avenue. It wasn’t until about 3 years ago when they upgraded to a bigger and more populated area. Unfortunelty 3 stores down there’s a shady sushi spot that offers AYCE and residing in such a populated area everyone bum rushes into the AYCE Spot every weekend to the point it takes almost an hour to get a seat.(IT’S RIDICULOUS) Thankfully, oh Sho now offers a AYCE menu that cost the same as the shady bootleg sushi spot next door with a wider range of selection ! If you’re around the area and you want to try some fresh and yummy sushi alongside with friendly servers you can’t go wrong with this place !

I haven’t review this place? I thought I did. oh well. I guess I should give 3.5 stars. I did not come here for the AYCE sushi. I came here a year ago during lunch because I saw buy one get one free special roll. and I know it’s gonna fill me. The first time I came on a weekday to dine in during lunch. I ordered 2 special roll, price is about 11 – 12 dollars since it’s buy one get one. And I was bloated. The portion was really good. The 2nd time I came here during dinner time on a Sunday. it was packed so I decided to take it to go. Waited for 15 mins. my order came. it was about 14 dollars now. maybe I ordered a more expensive one. However, I feel that the sushi«shrink» when you get it to go. maybe I eat more now? I never have problem with the service but my friend that lives around here claims that they did not like the service here. Overall, I think it’s still pretty good.

I like the fact that its not crowded like sake, so its easy to get a seat. It is very similar to sake because you write down what you want. I think there is a bit more options than sake such as the bacon wrapped quail eggs. Those are good, I definitely recommend! I really like the appetizer here. If you like sushi then you should try this place out. I like this place over sake. Also advice, do not get the yakisoba and expect it to taste like yayas. It’s like authentic yakisoba.

i have been eating there for a long time… I like their sushi and ate almost all of their sushi items in the menue. My fav sushi rolls from oh sho. East roll, eel with cream cheese, Aac roll, oshinko roll, ginza roll, Dragon roll, spider roll… But plz spare yourself from trying Saba gari, Negi hamachi maki. they are not worth trying. Regular rolls are$ 2.75 and the special ones range from $ 6-$ 13… If you want to try some fresh suahi n sashimi without any fuss… thn u can try this place… and please beawre tht most of them are not proficient in English language…

We were in the area and was craving for sushi. Always passed this place, but never went in. Was not disappointed, $ 13 per head for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Quiet and the menu was a fusion of sushi and Thai. Perfect for our mood. We got a huge plate of sushi as you can tell from our pictures, and a pad thai. The green tea refills keep coming without notifying the waitress. The thai salad was a spunk as a meal opener with a mixture of peanut butter, lettuce, bean sprout and etc. Kani Salad had a bit more mayo than the usual taste. My other half LOVE the bacon quail eggs. And asked for thirds… Never forget to order the salmon teriyaki. The sushi was way better then SAKE next door. Oh sho, yummy-yummy roll were two of the six rolls we ordered. Usually when the entire plate comes to the table, you are too hungry to figure out which was which. We vowed to try all the sushi rolls, so until next time.

My friends and I were set on going to Sake, which is a couple of steps away. Sake was filled to the bring, so we wandered our way to Oh Sho. I’ve heard bad reviews on their sushi, so we were very hesitant in entering. I decided why not? $ 12.95 all you can eat sushi, empty lot, and quiet ambience totally does not sound suspicious at all. This place was literally a desert. This place was not bad at all. The bacon quail eggs were delicious. I found their rice on the sushi very dry. Their dragon roll, California roll, eel roll, etc. was actually not that bad. I found their appetizers pretty good too. The Kani Salad was filled with more lettuce than crab, which I did not mind since I usually get the other way around. The fried calamari was mediocre. The shrimp tempura is what they messed up on. It had this flour, and smooth taste in my mouth, which I did not enjoy. My friends seemed to enjoy their Miso soup. Overall, I give the food four stars. I’m still confused on how Oh Sho was empty, compared to their neighbor Sake. They charge you if you have any left overs.

Came here for an early dinner. The all you can eat special was $ 17.95 a pretty good deal. The food was basic. Nothing really over the top amazing. The service was very lacking. The young lady was sweet but the gentleman that took our order seemed to act like he didn’t want us there even though we were the only guests in the place for 2 hours. I would come back but the service need to definitely be upgraded

When they first had AYCE, I was excited to try it but then I saw all the bad reviews. I decided to finally try it because Unilocalers said they improved their service. Came on a Friday at 3pm and there was only 3 other tables. With 2 waiters, 4 sushi chefs, and the couple(?) owners, the service wasn’t bad. The female owner helped out with our table too. After placing the order for AYCE, the appetizers came out VERY quick, about 3 minutes? Since many people tried sake, I’ll make comparisons to them. Kani salad: not as much tempura flakes as sake, which is a good thing. Overall it is similar it taste except it is slightly watery. Salmon teriyaki: cooked too long Crab meat ravioli: there’s more filling here and I prefer this to sake Thai salad: this is something sake doesn’t have. I never tried Thai salad before so idk how the taste is suppose to be like. It’s just lettuce with bean sprouts and crushed peanuts with the sauce on top. Very basic but the sauce was addicting. Yum Avocado salad: too little dressing Miso soup: more tofu pieces inside and taste less artificial. Chicken udon: it was okay but the broth was bland. Now on to the sushi. it came out in about 20 minutes. To be honest, I think that with 4 sushi chefs they will be able to make it much faster, but it wasn’t as fast as I expected. I now think that it’s not the amount of chefs but it’s the speed of the chefs. 20 mins isn’t a long wait but for 4 chefs on 3 other tables, you would expect it to be faster, right? Still, it wasn’t too bad. They probably need to get to use to the orders coming in quickly. Some of the stuff they have here is not available at sake for the same price for lunch. For example, shrimp, pad thai, seaweed salad, bacon with quail egg, some regular sushi rolls, and special rolls. The sushi was relatively more fresh than sake. And another Unilocaler said there was barely any fish in it… I did not experience that. The fish to rice ratio was equal, though the rice was quite warm and falling apart. Oh sho does offer about 8 different special rolls which goes for about $ 8-$ 10 regularly. But these special rolls aren’t that special. For example, I think it was the kirin roll?, just California rolled topped with spicy tuna, but still better than no special rolls at all! I rated this a 4 just because I rated sake a 3 and I think it’s slightly better here. Though I think it should be 3.5 to be exact. Anyway, my cup of tea was refilled promptly and they were very friendly too.

I’m so sorry. I really wanted to give this place a higher star than sake. But unfortunately it did not happen as expected. I hear that it took forever for the sushi buffet order to come so I confronted them the first thing I walked in. They took my order and my food came rather fast. In one of my rolls there was a fish BONE in it. I was so shocked, I didn’t know sushi would even have fish bone. I had an unpleasant past with them. That’s #1. #2 their sushi is rather drying. As in no moist. #3 They also put wayyyyy too much rice in a roll and lacking the quantity of fish inside. I was so disappointed. Lets move on to their good points. Their fish is fresher than sake I can say that. Their sushi comes in big pieces, thats something good but not for a buffet. But they have no potential to open a sushi buffet. Not enough man power and service is horrible. Can’t compete. Not to be harsh or anything. They have SCALLIONSINSUSHI?! They didn’t have that mentioned on the menu. What if I was allergic to it? Also the other sushi rolls had bits of a scallions on it maybe because it sticked onto their gloves. Their service was unprofessional. They need to start hiring waitresses that knows how to do their job. I always needed my tea be refilled. They aren’t attentive to their customers when it’s basically dead. Food: 2 Service: 1 Environment: 3.5

Came here for Valentines Day tonight and ordered 4 rolls with a friend for their buy one get one free special. I’d have to say the dragon roll is delicious! I think it has to be my favorite roll now on. Thanks Kelly for recommending it to me! :D We also ordered the pan fried seafood udon which was amazing as well. It was delicious! The service was pretty lack luster but I’ll let it slide for today being it that it was Valentines day and the staff was really busy running around catering to a bunch of tables. I shall come here and order their specials soon. P. S. Your chopsticks gave me splinters! :[ BOO.
